We had bought carpet for our house at Flooring Depot because my friend’s dad worked there. He was a great salesman and gave us a great deal. He no longer works there but we decided to give Flooring Depot another try for our basement carpet. This time we got a guy that had only been there for a short time. He was nice and seemed to know what he was doing. After we agreed to the price, I asked him if I could just use their financing again and he said that would be fine and to call in with the card. I tried calling the next day and the actual manager of the store(I believe his name is Jeff) said he couldn’t do it over the phone and I would have to come in person to do it, which was a huge inconvenience. So, I went in, gave my salesman my card, he ran it through and I was on my way. Today I checked my account and the charge was ran through twice. Once the day I went in to the store and again 10 days later. So I called and they said I needed to talk to «Peggy». She pulled up the account and said she ran it through on 4/9…my statement said it was ran the day I went in and then again on 4⁄8 so I told her it came through the day I went in and she said that was impossible and that the guy that ran it doesn’t have access and was really snotty about it. I told her not to talk to me that way so she transferred me to the manager. He wasn’t any better and argued with me that the salesman didn’t have access to run it through and that he doesn’t even have access to run through those charges. He then said he’d call Wells Fargo and straighten it out. He just called to say that it was fixed. So I asked him to clarify that the charge was ran through twice and that they made an error and he actually hung up on me! They made the error, argued with me that they didn’t, he finds out they did and instead of admitting it and apologizing he just hangs up on me. Terrible customer service. If you want good customer service, stay away from Flooring Depot.

I suppose I must be too picky in my quest for a unique oval or round living room rug because I was not interested in the findings at Lowes, Home Depot, Shermans, Menards, JC Penneys, Target, etc, etc. It’s unfortunate that it took me this long to try out the Flooring Depot. It’s not in the best location-Brandywine has definitely seen MUCH better days and I am just never over that way. I was picturing it to be a musty old throwback with orange shag carpets and a 70 year old salesguy with a comb over but was getting desperate for warm tootsies! Welp, I can admit when I am wrong and WOW, was I wrong. First of all, my salesperson was a young woman and she knew her way around flooring. I looked at area rugs but learned about composite tiles and wood linoleum and other things I didn’t realize even existed. Second of all, they have modern print rugs that are ROUND, something I was not coming across at the big box stores. I am so glad I didn’t settle for one of those big rectangles because I found the perfect 7′ round rug here! If you are tired of seeing the same things in everyone houses, check out this little treasure(not a comb-over to be found!).
