Best kept secret in town. If Cheers was a café, this would be it. Great food and staff and your coffee cup is never empty! Daily specials and all your favorites on the menu. From breakfast to burgers, you can’t beat the Moose!

Tenderloin is great and service was equally great. Good mom and pop shop if you’re in the market for those.

Use to love eating at this place, but had a horrible experience for breakfast this morning. My fiancé ordered the skillet, she had to return in twice and when the third attempt came out it was still incorrect but she ate it anyway. I ordered the chicken fried steak skillet and it was so greasy and mushy that I couldn’t even eat it. The service was not as good as it usually is either. The only server that was working was complaining about not feeling well and was not the most pleasant person to be working with the public. It saddens me to write this review, but this place has changed dramatically since being under new management. Also the pricing is high for the quality of food that they are putting out.

Breakfest is darn good. I had the Bull Ultimate and did not leave hungry, it is ALOT of food. Great little local place to eat a hardy breakfast. I recommend checking it out. FYI, the place is pretty small.

Just wanted to comment on my omelett. They are not stingy on the filling but the 3 egg omelett was wrapped super thin. I didnt taste much of the egg. I want a fluffy omelett when i order one. Service was great as usual but was disappointed in my breakfast mainly cause i had high hopes for it.

Huge breakfast. Took home leftovers. Seemed to be several well satisfied repeat customers there. Clean. Attentive staff. Great breakfast !

i am so glad that we decided to come to this place on our road trip. It wasnt crowded on a Sunday morning and we could find a parking place just in front of it without any problem. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. Our waitress was really laid back and kind. We ordered blueberry pancakes which came as 3 huge pieces, which was good but egg, bacon and english muffin was as its best.

I have to start by giving the old«warning» about the area. I know nothing about the area in terms of safety, but it is a run down part of town. We found ourselves questioning the Unilocal reviews as we drove in to check this place out. My wife perked up when she saw the comedy club, then clenched her teeth at the strip club next door to the comedy club. But in all fairness, this little place was a diamond in the rough for our party of 5 adults and 2 children.(my brother in law still refers to it as a bar, stating the only places he knows on Farmington Rd are bars, to give an idea of the area) Once you get passed the surrounding area, the restaurant itself is quite friendly and clean. The seating isn’t entirely plentiful, just about a dozen or so tables and booths. The staff was extremely friendly, and the customers seemed to be about 50% regulars, which made for an inviting atmosphere. Everyone in our group ordered breakfast, everything from eggs, to omelets, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, you name it. Everything was fantastic, which is a real statement given the group I was with. I’m not naming names, but it is rare to get zero complaints from all of them combined! As a matter of fact, the food along with the cheap pricing actually made it very tempting to return here for dinner before we left Peoria that night as we returned home. If you are looking for a great meal at a good price, Hungry Moose should be on your short list if you live in the Peoria area. Me, I live in St. Louis, so it will be a while before I get another chance to visit, but that shouldn’t stop the rest of you!

If you’re hungry and you want to see a lot of moose and other nature-oriented decorations, then Hungry Moose is you’re spot. In addition to the large portion sizes, cheap prices, and the ambiance that is cute, cozy, and makes you feel you’re out in the middle of the woods instead of a place classified as a city, the food at Hungry Moose is also delicious. Added bonus: service is great and staff are friendly. Basically, it’s a small town spot in the midst of Peoria. They want to make sure you eat well, feel at home, and don’t feel the need to wear anything fancy. If you haven’t been to Hungry Moose, GO!

Nice little joint about 10 minutes away from Bradley. I got the Big Bull Breakfast and it is loaded. For $ 8.95, you get egg, sausage, bacon, hash browns or country potatoes, toast, and either two pancakes or biscuits and gravy. Everything was fantastic. I even got a side of gravy because I wanted to try it and get pancakes. The service is great. It’s a small joint, but they treat you right. Not sure if or when I’ll be back in Peoria, but I’ll be coming back here if I do.
