I came into this location yesterday during lunch time… The host in the back as we entered was very nice she told us we could take a menu and sit down and think about what we wanted and come back and order what we wanted and we did. We ordered a pan BBQ chicken pizza and a large family salad… First off, the BBQ Chicken pizza was AMAZING… the bread was soft and fresh i would keep tearing it apart… it was that GOOD… the salad was good it was lettuce, tomatoes and cheese, and they brought 2 dressing to us and it was fabulous. The bathrooms were very clean. The waitress was VERY nice and very helpful. I will definitely be back to this location and try something different.

I hate their wings but the pizza is great. I love their breadsticks and nacho cheese! I love their salads and french dressing. Customer service is ok. Place needs to be remodeled but it’s ok.

It’s 730 at night coming from a funeral. There were 16 of us. The Number started at 12 but was a little confusion on who is coming. When we arrived wait staff was very unfriendly and not happy to have such a large crowd. Having not seen each other for a while it was important to sit near one another. Sitting down we wanted to move tables together so we could set closer. We were told no tables could be moved due to fire codes. After a little confusion everyone found their seats. The wait staff was very rude. He started to get our orders and ordered a beer. We were told we were not to be serviced. Everyone else in the restaurant could drink but not our party. When asked why a manager was sent to our table and said due to our behavior we could not have beer. He said he was exercising his right to serve whoever he wanted to. Not one person in our party had had any alcohol the entire day. We decided to leave. On the way out here in the kitchen started singing nah nah nah hey hey hey goodbye. This was the most immature restaurant staff and manager I have ever come across in 53 years.

Getting kind of pricey but still worth going to. My individual pleaser come with a bowl of salad and a drink and i always get an order of breadsticks… who can pass those up. I asked for sausage and banana peppers and wanted it cooked extra crispy. Everything was cooked perfectly and i enjoyed my lunch. The new remodel is nice with the large pictures on the wall. Only complaint is waitress never came out once to check on us and the restaurant was empty.

Excellent thin crust pizza and Italian dressing. A Peoria classic institution.

Pizza is ok(the Pan). Disappointed with the calzone. Ordered it, and it was actually a stromboli. Difference? Calzone has Ricotta cheese. They did not have that. Called back, and said that they don’t have ricotta, and just mozzarella. Maybe they need to call it what it is then, a stromboli.

I am a thin crust pizza fan and I must say that Monical’s thin crust pizza is MOSTFABULOUS! It had the perfect amount of crunch to it and the ingredients were spread evenly over the pizza. It was also delivered piping hot. The hot wings, on the other hand, could use a little work(not enough sauce on them).

Normally, I’m a fan-boy for Monicals Pizza, but on Monday night, the place was empty and the service was horrible. Only one waitress on hand, one pizza maker in the back. The Family Pleaser was anything but… the salad was soggy and the ever-popular«red» dressing wasn’t cold. Come on, Monicals. You’re better than that.

The first time I went to Monical’s was last spring for a work meeting and I have to say I was pleased. All those commercials about how their salad dressing is great to dip the pizza into were right on target. It really is yummy. The actual salad with their signature dressing is good too. The pizza is not the best, but it satisfies, so I give it 4 stars.

I think Monical’s is a Central IL thing, bc there was one where I went to college and everyone from Chicago seemed to hate it. I think it is awesome and it’s pretty popular. The pizza is super thin and crispy and cut into little squares. The salad is equally awesome with cheese and tomatoes and ranch, french and creamy italian dressings. Mix the ranch and french and you will be in for a real tasty treat :)

I miss Monicals so much! It is definitely one of the must do visits when I go back to Peoria. I love their thin crust pizza(with ranch on the side) and their awesome salad + breadsticks. I loved the fact that their ice cubes were little ice balls, too. Yum. Love them!

I miss you Monicals!!! I have yet to find a favorite pizza place in Chicago so I always eat Monicals when I visit Peoria. I love their thin crust pizza dipped in their delicious french dressing. Mmmmmm, I am totally salivating now, why do I torture myself? On the bright side, I think the lack of Monicals has help me improve my waistline.

I remember going to Monical’s with my family when I was a kid. I loved their 1000 island dressing and the kid-friendly placemats(with puzzles and games on them). Now that I’m an adult, I try to get the family together and head to Monical’s Pizza on Knoxville whenever I am visiting back home. Their thin crust pizza is delicious! We usually opt for the family pleaser which comes with a family-sized salad, 16 in pizza, and a pitcher of pop all for just around $ 20. The prices are very good, and I’ve never had any complaints about the service.
