A group of girlfriends celebrated birthdays last night at PVII. Service was great; waitress friendly and made good recommendations. We all thoroughly enjoyed shared appetizers(Bruschetta, Spinach/Artichoke Dip, Caprese Salad), and four of us had the Balsamic Chicken(blackened), which was delicious. Definitely a repeat in the near future!

We recently moved to Peoria IL and came for 31st Night(new year) dinner, will say one of the best Italian food in town by far. Food in general takes a little long to arrive the reason is they make every item from scratch, after to you take your first bite you will not mind the wait, it’s worth the wait. Making reservation is recommended as they are very busy.

One of my favorite places to eat! Home of the world’s best strawberry vinaigrette salad!

Good food, at the right price point, but service was a little slower than it should have been. Had a portabella sandwich which I liked. The bread was tasty. Definitely recommend for a quick bite if you’re in the area.

Overall delicious food. We went on a Thursday and they had the special for half price bottles of wine. We got chianti. My husband and I shared the calamari, it had a nice crunch. Cesar salad dressing was tasty. I had the shrimp and scallops served over spaghetti. Flavor was very good. The shrimp and scallops were cooked well. My husband has the stuffed pork loin which he stated was really flavorful and cooked to medium which he likes. Our server was very friendly and the food came out promptly. Ambiance was nice and we went late so we had a lot of attention/service. One thing I do wish is that they had other Italian options like chicken Parmesan(which is my favorite!).

Our party of four had four spectacular meals last night at PVII. We had calamari for a starter which was cooked to perfection, tender with just the right crunch from the light breading. One order was plenty for four people. Two of us had the chicken Rollatini served with linguini in a divine mushroom cream sauce. I could only finish half, but I look forward to the left-over for lunch. One of us had Sea Scallops, and again was happy to take half home. The last of us had Chicken and Sausage, but it was gone so fast that I never got a sample. I did get a sample of his vidalia salad dressing and my own bleu cheese dressing served on large, crisp salads. The service was perfection too. Our waitress was quite attentive without being obtrusive. This place is head and shoulders over Biaggi’s on all counts, including price. The only thing I might have wanted was good olive oil to dip the rolls in, but then I hadn’t thought to ask.

Reviewed this place once before and have been back twice. I gave it four stars the first time and all I can think of is that I must have miss hit the stars. All three visits have been 5 star meals. My wife and I ate at PVII’s last night and we had awesome service, in fact we have had awesome service each time we have been there. I had eggplant parm and my wife special ordered salmon without any glaze, just pan seared. The waitress was very intent on making sure my wife got just what she wanted, and did she ever. She was very pleased with the salmon and my eggplant was top notch. Thanks PVII.

First impression: they really need to improve the service. The place was full and the waitress was walking like crazy to serve everyone and was really rude with us. To drink, we had this really good Chianti wine! Love italian wines! We had a potato soup that is amazing! One of the best soup I’ve had! Served with hot bread! Delicious! But the main dishes were just ok. I had a veal with capellini and my husband had a beef ravioli. Didn’t impress us. It’s well served and we brought half of the food home. But we didn’t even want to eat it after. I was really dissapointed with the food.

Fantastic food. They need to work on waitress professionalism and service. But the food is great. I appreciate that the owner responded to my feedback. That says something.

A great evening with my husband! The food was incredible. I has the shrimp and scallops and my husband had salmon. We loves our dishes and the limoncello at the end was amazing. We can’t wait to go back!

The food was fantastic once again. The Spinach Rotola and the Chicken Rollatini are absolutely spectacular. They are available together in a dish called Ro DeBernardi. My wife and I have been coming here for years just for this dish. They have a new menu that looks fantastic, but we could not pull ourselves away from ordering our old favorite. As I said, we’ve been going here for years and the service and attentiveness of the wait staff has been less than stellar to say the least. we have gritted our teath through the service to get to the awesome food. But this time we had a server we’d never had before named Danny. He was awesome! He interacted warmly with my family. He was very attentive without being intrusive. He was always there at the right times. With this kind of service and the consistently good food, we’ll be dining here even more frequently. And we don’t even live in Peoria.

I got an email from PJStar Daily Deals offering at PVII Restaurant: Purchase a $ 20 voucher for fine Italian Dining for only $ 10(Mon. — Thurs. Dinner only) (in large, colored, bold print) I purchased a voucher. I was going to meet a friend for dinner, so I told him about the deal. He also purchased a voucher. We had a nice dinner at PVII. The food was good; the service was ok. When we were paying our separate checks, we were told that only one of us could use the voucher because there is small print at the bottom of the voucher that reads, «One per table.» The server was not at all accommodating.(I wonder what would have happened had we sat at the bar or at adjacent separate tables.) My friend used his voucher. I paid my full bill. The next day, I sent an email to PJStar Daily Deals explaining the situation and requesting a credit/refund for my voucher since I couldn’t use it and I was now turned off to PVII and didn’t want to return. I received a terse reply saying that they cannot offer a credit or refund because of the«One per table» restriction. I am now turned off to PJStar Daily Deals as well. Buyer Beware. No «Customer First» policies here.

Excellent food. Go on Thursdays for half price wine night. Chicken Lasagna is what I usually get, and it’s always great. They seem to have more wait staff, so the slower service isn’t an issue anymore.

I have been to this restaurant numerous times for lunch. HOwever, I went with a group of 7 and three of us ordered the Eggplant Parmesian – all three were cold. Our waitress was unattentive, did not refill our water glasses, nor did she apologize for our cold food. She offered to take one back at a time to not confuse our food. It would have been midnight before we got our hot food. She did not suggest any dessert. She just gave us our bills and said thank you.

Their pastas are one of the best in town. It is a small place, but has it’s own character and charm. Quite frankly, their veggie pastas are a delight! Must try the orange sauce!

The food was very good, although certainly very rich — I could actually taste the butter in the soup, it was a bit much. Prices were reasonable for a «nice» dinner, and I really liked that they did not have the tables crammed in close together. Service was a bit lacking — it wasn’t bad, just not very attentive. Drinks ran out and there was a wait to get them re-filled, slow to come take our order, that sort of thing. I would go there again, but probably not at a busy prime time.

One of the best Italian places in Peoria. Preparation of the food was very good. Ambience was amongst the best in Peoria. Crowd that visits there is also decent and good. Price was reasonable, and portions were more than sufficient.

So, I admit that I loved the original ponte vecchio. A lot. And I moved away, and when I moved back, it was gone. So I was really excited when I found out that it reopened in a new location. So I tried it a year or two ago. And it was awful and i told myself i wouldn’t go back. But I was driving by yesterday, and saw the parking lot full(guess it was because of half price wine night) and decided to try again. So the boyfriend and I came in for dinner tonight. Got sat right away, and it is a nice place — much nicer than the old place. The wine menu is pretty sad, so we got cocktails — they were ok, but not sure we got the type of vodka we asked for. The app was the butternut squash ravioli. Again, fine but not amazing. The bread was burnt, and the butter was melted. The salads were nothing exciting. I got the spinach rolls and they were also not exciting and tasted doughy. His Kansas City strip steak was charred, the potato strips on top were burnt, and the best part of his meal was the potato wedges. Oh, and don’t get me started on the music. Horrible combination of bad accordion music and bad piano music, possibly from a «top italianish holiday hits for the accordion». It would not even be good on Christmas Day to hear this music! With the prices as high as they were($ 18 for a vegetarian meal) I will not be coming back. Better than last time, but nowhere near the original. Sadly.
