Best fries in the entire Peoria area! The burgers are awesome and the ribeye sandwinch is great too! The service has been great lately too! This is our favorite place for date night!

Three stars… I have only been to this place once for a charity event for United Way called«burgers and bingo», but it was a blast! Great burger, great beer selection, and friendly service. Additionally the donated to a great cause, so that gives them a leg up! With limited experience and visits, this place does not make the list, but I would surely go back!

Big food, fun atmosphere. Nothing extraordinary except for the huge and outlandish decorations.

The food is excellent here. This is a place to come when you want burger for sure. If your looking for mixed drinks specials I would not recommend this place. They don’t make good mixed drinks here. I would stick to the beer next time.

Went here before a concert at the civic center. Great atmosphere and down to earth place. The server(I feel bad I don’t remember her name) was great and very attentive. Family loved the burgers and I was fortunate to get the last ribeye sandwich for the night. If your in the area it’s a great place to stop.

Order two long islands and didn’t need another. Honestly, they serve one of the best and I have had one just about everywhere I go. The fish and chips are unbelievably good. The cod is cooked to perfection and the chips are hand cut potatoes fried and lightly seasoned. I’ll be back without a question. Friendly atmosphere and everyone behind the bar attended each customer. There was no «this is your table» crap. Teamwork and customer service keeps this bar going. A great establishment for sure.

I always hate leaving bad reviews but this is well deserved took my family here because of all the great reviews but we are leaving very disappointed. Most of us ordered the fish and chips. Immediately, it was apparent they were frozen pre-battered small pieces of cod. There was nothing appetizing about the cod at all. The French fries have such rave reviews I had hope for them but they are fresh cut(which is of course very good) but only single fried at a low temperature which resulted in absolutely the greasiest fries I have ever had in my life. The service was fine for a busy night and the drinks were fine, but we are leaving extremely disappointed.

Not bad at all. Got in to Peoria late night and needed somewhere to eat. For bar food I thought it was quite good. Enjoyed the chicken sandwich. Only negative was that the bar tender was the only one working and was doing drinks and food at the same time. Was sometimes difficult to get his attention, but otherwise enjoyable. If I lived in Peoria I would probably be a regular.

Great atmosphere! Monday is $ 3.50 half-pound burger night. Worth way more than that! Yum!

Great pub grub and fun atmosphere. They were playing the music to the concert at the nearby civic center. Hickory burger was as close to excellent as you can get and the ribeye sandwich was cooked to perfection and huge. Fries were homemade and superb! If only we lived here…

True Irish style pub with great burgers and hand cut fries. Must stop if you like bar/dive food.

A little disappointed this time. Burgers were seriously undercooked(and I like med rare), service wasn’t to the standard I had come to expect here. Hopefully this is a one time thing.

Well after reading the reviews I bookmarked this location to give it a try. Friday night we(4) of us walked in and were greeted by nobody. I asked the guy at the bar if we could sit anywhere? He said yes. After 15 min and plenty of stares from the staff we continued to wait. The guys behind the bar were too busy trying on tv shirts and flirting to help us. We got up walked to the front door and left. I might also add it wasn’t very busy there were plenty of empty tables. What a joke!

As you can probably tell by the name, It’s an Irish pub. Great drink selection, REALLY good burgers. Onion rings are good too. Inside is a bit small, but cozy. Good staff and always seem to have a good crowd. Good place to meet for a happy hour.

After several years from my first review, and a few more visits, I think an update is needed. When we are in town we find this our go to place. The atmosphere, and drink selection are good. Even with the decay of the Peoria bar scene, these folks still have maintained a nice feeling of belonging. Not much has changed since Sully died, a few items are gone, a few added. But it’s pretty much a standard. The food is always great– the burgers have always been a treat. The fries are fresh cut, and served hot. It’s usually one if only a few places open on Holidays, and since we travel on Holidays, this is a huge plus. I just wish they would open earlier on Holidays, 8pm is kinda late for us old timers. Good bar food, good drinks, good atmosphere, and a very chill vibe.

The place is small, the beer selection is good at a decent price, the staff is friendly and prompt and the food is affordable and good drunk OR sober. Can you really go wrong? The burger and fries are always a must order in my opinion. But make sure you get the cheese to go with the fries or you will absolutely be missing out!

Since moving out of state three years ago, we now stay in downtown Peoria fairly often and like to visit Ulrich’s late afternoon or early evening to hang out for drinks. The atmosphere is chill with lots of dark wood paneling and accents plus there’s a wide selection of bottled beer, about 10 beers on draft and they also serve wine and stock a full bar. They offer draft specials ranging from $ 2-$ 4. It’s been a long time since I’ve had any of the food, so I’ll have to update that another time. I especially appreciate stopping in during the Christmas season as they do a nice job of decorating and creating a warm, cozy environment. Ulrich’s is very close to the Marriott and an easy enough walk from the Mark Twain, and it’s definitely one of the nicer downtown bars. This is yet another of Mike Sullivan’s former bars that lives on as a different establishment providing a good experience to so many. I hope they continue to do so for decades more.

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon while in town for business. We were the only people in the place, which was a little concerning. We learned later this place is only open two days a week for lunch and we just happened upon one of them. Food was great — I had a barbecue chicken sandwich that came topped with onion rings. My colleague had the burger equivalent of that sandwich. She ordered a side of fries — hand cut and fresh and enough for the two of us to split. Great service as well. I was only in town for a few more days, but I recommended this place to quite a few other colleagues while there.
