Cucina Ceci

We decided to try this restaurant in Pepin, WI after finding a 45 minute wait at a competing restaurant in this little river town. We were very pleasantly surprised. The special entrée for the evening was an eggplant and ricotta ravioli, which was deliciously light, yet satisfying. The marinara sauce was a lighter version of the restaurant’s usual sauce, and complemented the thinly rolled pasta quite nicely. The lasagna was wonderful, hearty, with a sweet marinara sauce, made with three meats. The portions were ample, yet we finished them. Soup this evening was offered as «kitchen sink» chicken noodle. Numerous vegetables, and a subtlety seasoned broth, with large pieces of chicken were present. There were no typical noodles in this soup, possibly orzo or barley, but nevertheless the soup was very good. No room for dessert, however, which was chocolate-​filled cannoli. We have found a new favorite place to dine in Pepin, and we can even make reservations here! One criticism, the shrimp scampi had an overpowering lemon flavor, due to too many lemon slices present in the entrée served. MIL did not care for that taste. Otherwise very good !

My wife and I decided to check out Cucina Ceci over 4^th of July weekend and we’re glad that we did. We ate on their outdoor patio and the food, wine and service were great. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs and I had the lasagne both were fantastic. They’re located about 10 minutes from Wabasha, Minnesota over the bridge on Wisconsin Hwy 35 N and it’s definitely worth the short drive.

Unbelievably good food. Fresh, homemade, and authentic. Can’t wait to go back. They’re really nice as well, as they made a custom Mac n cheese for our kids!

A Surprise to find a gourmet authentic italian country restaurant in Pepin, Wisconsin. Outdoor or indoor dining. We had a nice bottle of chianti wine. For our dinner we had shrimp scampi and chicken marsala, Both were delicious, wonderful spices, fresh and high quality. Along with our dinner came a fresh garden salad with a variety of greens, olives, peppers, much better than the usual dinner salad. I will definitely return to this sweet little restaurant.
