Hawk Mountain is a small 4 peak mountain found in Perkinsville, VT. Just park at the town green by the Church and hike up the road to the trails. On June 5th, 1947 a WW2 B-29 Bomber crashed into the Mt and all 12 men died. The crash site is still up there on the south side. Big engines and the landing gear too. Its abt a 2 mile hike in. Some of the land is state owned, the other side is private. Some really nice views on top of Okemo and Ascutney. PS. You will find no signs for Hawk Mtn so you may want to use a topographic map.
