Holiday Inn Express & Suites Perry

Clean up to date rooms but pancake machine broken and noise in storage room next door all night. Called about it but never checked. Next morning GM blew me off and no sorry, or apology. Attitude adjustment needed. Hampton just up the street.

This is a really nice, clean place to stay. Big parking lot. RV friendly.

New and pristinely clean. Friendly staff, had a free happy hour with snacks and when we asked advice on where to eat we were handed menus from four restaurants.

This is a newly built hotel from Spring of this year, 2010. We got a double queen bed room. The room size is average for a Holiday Inn Express. There is a window AC unit that works very well. The beds are firm but there are choices of soft and firm pillows. Our room was outfitted with a flatscreen television, microwave oven, refrigerator and has free wireless Internet. This is standard for smaller hotels such as these.
The lobby and breakfast areas are nicely decorated and the visitors will feel right at home here.
There is a small fitness center with a recumbent bike, 2 treadmills and an elliptical. A pool is outside but I didn’t get to take advantage of it. This hotel is an inner corridor type of hotel, which is what I prefer outdoor corridors (it feels safer).
Upon arrival, we took advantage of the manager’s cocktail hour. I imbibed one glass of Merlot, Swiss Cheese, some meatballs and crackers. I also grabbed two cups of decaffeinated coffee. Service here is great, there is more than ample parking, and the staff are happy. It’s a nice friendly atmosphere.
There is a complementary breakfast which has a good selection: Biscuits, Gravy, Fruit, Sausages, eggs, cereal, cinnamon rolls, bagels and muffins. Regular and decaffeinated coffee, orange juice, milk, apple juice and water were available for drinks.
I came here for a karate tournament for my daughter this weekend.
Highly recommend this place.
