The bakery is out of this world. Famous for their doughnuts and that is qualified the Best. However you can get cookies and other pastries as well all good. Love their hamburger too! So you can really have a treat at Johnson Bakery.

My husband grew up in Perry and ever since I have known him, he has raved about Johnson’s Bakery. It didn’t take me long to appreciate this place myself. Everything is made from scratch and amazing. First, the doughnuts. Now, I have had my fair share of doughnuts, but none compare to Johnson’s bakery. I have only had the glazed yeast as I can’t imagine it getting any better! They are amazingly light and airy, with a crunchy delicious glaze. We actually haul ours back to North Carolina and keep them in the freezer for whenever a craving strikes. Now, the cookies. OMG, there is nothing like a Johnson’s Bakery sugar doughnut. You simply must try them that is all. My absolute favorite though are the pecan shortbread thumbprint cookies. They are salty, sweet, buttery perfection. I am so glad that hole-in-the-wall bakeries like Johnson’s continue to endure. This place truly is special. If you ever find yourself driving by on your way through Perry(or even 2 hours away) is is well worth a stop.

Wow! Horrible horrible service. I had heard so much about this place and was excited to try it out. Never again will I waste my time or money there.

While standing in line I had to laugh as I recalled the reviews. The staff is definitely not outgoing! The glazed doughnuts, however, were everything I had hoped for. The coffee was delicious. My husband wanted something a little more substantial. They only sell doughnuts, eclairs, cup cakes, cookies, and such. Carnivores go elsewhere!

I was in town for work and was referred here for«the best burgers in town.» While the cheeseburger was pretty good, the bakery items stole the show. I ordered a donut and a brownie and both were spectacular. I went back after finishing the hamburger and grabbed a dozen to take home and none of them survived the next 24 hours. I’ll definately visit them again next time I’m in town.

Hometown bakery. Brought a cake home to Orlando & whole group of people fell in love with it. Moist & delicious! Grew up on the donuts. the world!

My folks get donuts from this bakery when the craving strikes. This is a local business and they beat the stuffing out of Krispy Kreme and Dunkin.(Blasphemy!) Warm, fresh, glazed donuts as big as your fist just can’t be beat. They don’t overdo the glaze like Krispy Kreme, either. Even cold, they are out of this world. If you are making your way north or south on US19, check out this little shop. They close at 1PM on Saturday, so you have to hit them early enough to get the goodies.

Awesome glazed donuts. Awesome peanut butter cookies, all for really cheap. Their lunches are pretty solid too for a hole in the wall. Not the biggest selection(standard burger, sandwiches, etc), but all pretty cheap. I usually get whatever their special is(chicken and rice and a couple sides last time) and always thought it was good. Definitely beats going to the fast food joints. Nice people too.

Excellent doughnuts and surprisingly good coffee. The counter help can be a little dim and sullen, but they’ve probably been up since about 4 am so I cut them some slack. Limited selection, but everything they make is terrific.

I’ve been in more impressive bakeries than this one, but the treats we ordered were still yummy. The bakery itself has some seating as well as some items other than baked goods on the menu. What I was missing was a good cake or brownie — there were cookies and donuts and cupcakes — but no slices of cake or pie or brownies. Anyway, a good place to stop for a sweet treat if you’re in the mood — but don’t come here to meet your chocolate craving — you might be disappointed.
