Great food and charming, nostalgic atmosphere! Best biscuits we’ve had in years! It’s worth the short hop off of the highway. We will stop again!

We walked in and were treated as if we were regulars. Our server was friendly and her recommendation for lunch of the chicken fried steak was spot on. We didn’t wait long for our meal and the plate was huge! Will defiantly keep this place on our list.

My family had a variety of things from the menu and everyone really liked what they had. I had chicken fried chicken. It was great. They have a lot of different sides to choose from, too. My dad had the catfish and really liked it. Our waitress was very friendly and the the booth was very comfortable. The iced tea was wonderful.

Excellent home-cookin’ from Oklahoma’s oldest café. Making it through the Depression without ever closing their doors should speak for itself. Place is dated. But clean. I come for the food at places like this, not the décor.(There IS some cool neon and such but odd mix of finishes…) We didn’t think we could outdo our stop at Wrights Family Diner near Lawton but again, truly Good green beans and outstanding chicken fried chicken that was obviously recognizable chicken breast under lightly fried golden coating. Coleslaw was similar to my Grandma Johnson’s and the dinner rolls that Everett makes were a light touch of subtle sweet… just like my Grandma Arens’ made 20 years ago. What a wonderful surprise that was Nancy was our waitress and a gem with a Friendly smile. Scrumptious strawberry pie made from scratch for dessert. I’m in a bit of discomfort because I simply wanted to taste the pie and end up eating the entire half my husband offered We will be coming though Perry again our next trip south!

The Kumback is a classic diner in the heart of Perry, OK. The town square is capped by this beautiful old storefront. The food here is good and priced well enough for what you get.

Oldest café in Oklahoma with lots of history. Unique atmosphere. Food is decent with the exception of the fries which are more often than not greasy and soggy. The pies are amazing though.

We were stopping through Perry and happened across Kumback for a late afternoon lunch. The food was excellent and the servers were very friendly. We were so impressed, we came back for breakfast the next day. The food was so good :) We loved the memorabilia and the friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This is a very old fashion restaurant, unlike other restaurants none of the food has MSG or other harmful food additives, they cook real food from scratch. The waitresses are not hooters waitresses but older ladies who are genuine, warm and caring, who will learn you name and ask how the family is doing, as a person ultra sensitive to food additives I was so thrilled I could eat anything on the menu. I loved the chicken fried steak. It was good but a step back into time to a real restaurnat with real food.

After being featured on the news in Tulsa, I drove out to give the place a try. Interesting place with better food than the other reviews claim. Ordered the cheese burger with fries and I must say it was one of the better burgers and fries I’ve had. Nothing about the place was dirty, everything was fine. Friendly wait staff and excellent service. This will be one place to go when I feel like getting out of town.

If you plan to visit the historical Kumback, go with an open mind and go for the atmosphere, decoration and pie. The food is not worth the drive to Perry and everything… restaurant, floor, silverware, plates, etc., just came across as being dirty.

If you like terrible service and semi warm bland tasting burgers, this place is going to quickly become one of your favorites. The place has a great atmosphere though and is worth checking out at least once just on that account.

The Kumback has been on the cozy town square in Perry OK since the mid twenties. A lot of the cute décor is from the 1950’s. The walls are crowded with pictures & newspaper clippings. Back in the day, gangster Pretty Boy Floyd came through the door & ordered the owner to lock it. He didn’t rob the joint. He just wanted the biggest steak in the house. The night we were there, the 60mph wind kept pushing the door open & blowing the geraniums hanging in the windows. I like meatloaf. Their meatloaf was the second worst I have ever tasted. And the brown gravy was the worst. Strange stuff. My husband got chicken fried steak. He said it was good. The white gravy looked anemic. The mashed potatoes were passable. The canned green beans were cooked to death with onion and bacon, mid– western style. On the other hand, the fresh strawberry pie was 4 star. You don’t have too many choices in Perry.

Historic restaurant in small town atmosphere of Perry, OK. Art Deco décor combined with diner-style menu offerings. Surprising that quite a few Mexican dishes were on menu. My open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy was decent. Philly steak sandwich looked good and came with generous portion of tasty French fries. Beef nachos were average but platter was good sized. Homemade pies were good, we tried the custard and peach. Portion size and prices are very good. Service is okay.
