*I’m only giving one star because the site would not let me continue without leaving a star raiting. I contacted Southern Structures Fences and Decks for an estimate of the repair of my gate and fence which was damaged from a storm. One gate panel blew off and one fence panel. My neighbor was able to reattach the fence panel so I requested a quote for the repair of the gate and the fence boards to be secured. My fence is very small. A employee gave me a quote of $ 200 which I agreed. I contacted the company the day the repairs were to be done, no one showed up. It was explained to me it was an oversight and they would be here on Friday August 27th2015. I stressed to the company administrator through emails I needed to be here to make sure the work was completed and also to let the workers into my neighbors yard to reach my fence. When I heard the workers I went outside and asked them if they knew what the job was, both workers did not speak English except saying«yes, yes». I asked the workers to come get me so I could make sure the work was complete. Again, they said«yes» and shook their heads. Two hours later I went outside and the workers had left. I contacted the company, spoke to the administrator through email the administrator stated the owner, Mike Giles, would come on the following Monday to check the fence and discuss a resolution, the owner didn’t show. The email response from the administrator from my complaint stated there must of been some type of a misunderstanding and Mike Giles would come to my residence. I have the emails I sent to the administrator before the work was done explaining what I needed and I needed to be at my residence because my neighbors gave me permission to let the workers in their yard. In the email I explained I needed the gate repaired and the panels tighten up. I would never refer this company for any work. If something as simple as a gate repair and tightening up panels is a reflection of the quality of their work, stay away and do not hire Southern Structures Fences and Decks. The end result is a joke.
