You can expect the taste of a good home cooked meal here. I think there could have been a better variety of meat. All I saw was chicken on my visit, but all tasted great

I’m a local and the Ponderosa used to be better. The food quality has declined steadily in the last 2 – 3 years. Not sure why this is but it used to be way better. The service has always been fine and it is a pretty clean place. That said, there are usually a few good things on the bar you can eat and their steaks are pretty good.

First things this place can be two stars for price, depends on how you eat. I’ve eatin here countless times but I stopped when the food declined in quality. I’ve tried st. louis ponderosa and i feel it was better overall, I know the guy who owns this place and i don’t know whats up, they use to have great food. This could be due to the hour because i normally come here to eat a hour before closing time and the service is a little slow but still, i think hour should make no difference. The steak is always great though ;), I tend to stick too their soup, steak, and salad bar.

The two stars is because the service was nice. The only reason we came here is that we went to Ste. Genevieve for the wine tastings, and my dad was attempting to starve us, and a group consensus determined that this was least of all evils at this interstate exit. The hot food bar consisted of greasy food that varied in temperatures varying between tongue burning and cold. I survived by making wraps out of tortillas and the anemic salad bar offerings. You could too if it were the only thing open.
