I called to see if there was space for my husband and I before I bought the groupon, and the woman on the phone was nasty. She just snapped that I had to buy the groupon first before booking and shut the phone. I almost didn’t buy it because of her attitude. When I called back a second time after purchasing the groupon, she THEN told me I had to pay almost $ 23 in tax and gratuity right now over the phone, and that id be sitting with strangers. Those two things could’ve been mentioned the first time I talked to her but were conveniently left out. Anyways, when we got to the actual ship, we loved the experience. The food was great(salmon was top-notch, kudos to the chef), the DJ was very entertaining, and the servers were sweet and funny. We did not notice the«dirty windows» like everyone is complaining about because it was nighttime and we did not notice. The windows had fogged up though, so we did not have much of a view. We went outside and saw NYC, but it was cold so we went back in. I would not recommend this if you are going solely for the view, but it was certainly a nice night out.

Went for their New Year’s Eve party and had a great time! The dinner cruise was fully packed. Great food and DJs. Although some of the bartenders looked like they didn’t know what they were doing or took wayyyyyyy too long. Other than that had a great time. Definitely will go again for a regular dinner.

This was the besttttttt dinner cruise ice ever been on hands downs!!! They played everything from classical music to Spanish. The food was amazing & might I add I bought a $ 99 groupon for dinner for 2 from Friday– Sunday. We ordered about 12 drinks it was about 151 including tax & gratuity I will definitely be returning!

DONOTWASTEYOURMONEY! This was one of the WORST experiences I have ever had. Purchased the tickets on Groupon, which they charge you not only for the discounted tickets, they charge you for tax and gratuity which was a turn off and you basically saved nothing. When entering the boat, the boat was kept in a terrible state, the brass had never been polished, windows never cleaned. Also the decorations were very low class. The staff had mismatched uniforms. Our table was crammed in the middle of a sweet 16. We ordered drinks, the only drinks that are free are water, coffee, and tea. The food was okay but our table was called last even thought we were table 2, so we got soggy seconds. The dessert was basically frozen cake. Yum(sarcasm) The staff was unattentive and you had to scream to get their attention cause of the blasting music. Our drinks were empty half the time. The DJ was playing EXTRRMELYLOUDMUSIC, it felt like you were in a club, and the music was all in Spanish for the 16 year old girl. You could barely hear yourself talk and the music was blasting the whole time! The views were AWFUL! We went on the boat thinking we were going to see New York City like the brochure has promised. All we saw was a dirty Raritan Bay and industrial factories and the ghettos of Perth Amboy. The cruise was from 12 – 4, the boat has came back early so the captain did circles to pass the time. Would never go back. Please don’t waste your money. The website and brochure are a huge LIE!

The worst time ever. Dirty plates and silverware. Terrible watered down drinks. And to make it more unpleasant the Dj was bad. Horrible music, food and drinks. Please save your money.

Sunday brunch cruise. Can’t go wrong w bacon and eggs or a fresh omelette served by a real nice guy with 1 tooth. Food was really decent. DJ was excellent and super sweet. Management didn’t say a word(welcome aboard or goodbye would have been expected) and she was sitting at a table doing paperwork the entire cruise. Seriously, go in your office and add up your profit. AFTER the cruise. Absolutely no view of anything. Graffiti that says someone blows, was a special treat for my 12 yr old. Bathroom needs an overhaul. Staff not friendly at all. No smiles. If not for the music and great crowd, this woulda sucked. All in all, I had a nice time. Oh, you drink nasty tap water and 1 glass of orange juice and that’s it. You ask get 1 free mimosa or champagne. 1 cup of coffee or tea. Bring your own half and half. Want something else to drink? Pay at the bar. There are plenty of nice guys telling you to watch your step as you board and exit the ship. No doubt, people have tripped before.(They said good morning when we arrived and have a good day when we left). Also went to inquire in the«office» about where we went to wait and after the bitch answered me, she slammed the door. FU2. Oh yeah, if you decide later in the cruise that you want something else to eat, you better hide your utensils in your pockets, because they snatch them right off the table. They do offer a choice of chocolate cake, tiramisu, or cheesecake during the last hour. Dress code is non existent, so where what you want. Pajamas. Sweats. Outdoor seating is limited. Prepare to stand up or drag a chair out. 4 stars for good breakfast, a great DJ.

While I read many positive reviews about their food and dancing, I’m going beyond that. I purchased a dinner cruise for a couple’s 80th birthday present; the husband passed away suddenly a week after the purchase. A couple of weeks went by before I thought of asking for a refund. This loss was a huge devastation to our family and no one would think about going on this cruise in their place. The owner of the Cornacopia refused to give us a refund. I understand there are no refunds, but under these circumstances, an exception should be considered. I believe my $ 200 refund won’t hurt his business financially.

Beware they nickel and dime you! I purchased a groupon for a lunch cruise for two. Plus 3 more groupons for friends. when I called cornucopia cruise line to make a reservation, they charged an extra $ 23 per groupon for«tax and gratuity». Having to pay an extra $ 93 dollars to make the reservations for 8. Aside from that, the DJ was fantastic. He played some songs we requested and gave a birthday shout out to my daughter!

This was the worst cruise I’ve been on so far. The cruise ship itself was small and the seating area was over crowded with barely any walking space. The dance floor was tiny accommodating a max of 8 – 9 people and even then, the dancing interfered the people seated in the chairs closest to the dance floor. The deck was lousy and not well kept, it was messy and did not look like a place you would want to stand out on. I’ve read from other Unilocal reviews that there was no view but I didn’t believe it at first because I figured there had to be some sort of nice view and I was wrong. I should have listened to the other Unilocal reviews. There was nothing to see! It was just a distant shore view and tons of construction/cranes/an industrial mess. The handful of ships we saw were large industrial looking tugboats. The food was very mediocre for lunch and very few options compared to the selection available on other cruises such as the Hornblower from South Street Seaport(highly recommend!) So tables were called up one by one to go up and get food because the boat is so small that everyone couldn’t walk around and get food at once. There is this one lady who is literally the food police! She approached me on the food line and was very rude and asked if my table had been called up, which it had. She was pressing me to find out what my table number was which I clearly didn’t remember since I had been on the boat for just a short while. She made it seem as if I needed to go back to my seat which was extremely unprofessional given that I already had a plate in my hand and was about to start taking food. She never apologized and had an attitude the entire time like she runs the show. I avoided any interactions with her from then on forward. She definitely made my cruise further disappointing than it already was. My waiter on the other hand was extremely nice and the ONLY good thing about the cruise. At the end of the cruise I was surprised to get a bill for my drinks. I didn’t order any alcoholic beverages but apparently they charge you for everything besides water and coffee. I had a few glasses of orange juice and realized that I was charged for this. So apparently the $ 68 dollars I paid per person doesn’t even cover for juice. Total rip off! The DJ was horrible and basically played radio music and abruptly changed from one song to the next as if he was playing it from a playlist. Also I didn’t know that about 40% of the crowd was going to be senior citizens because clearly this cruise was not meant or designed for a younger crowd. I drove almost 1.5 hours from NYC to be on this cruise and it was the biggest waste of my money and time. Even before the first hour of the 4 hour cruise was up, I was already looking at the clock hoping the cruise would end already. DONOTWASTEYOURTIMEANDMONEYHERE.

On 9÷12÷15, I was on this ship for a birthday party. I sat at table 14, the dance deck. I went outside to see the ocean and notice one of the cooks CLEANINGUNCOOKCHICKENWITH A WATERHOSEANDOCEANWATER. I was turned on especially the way he was handling the chicken and tossing it with his dirty bare hands. My daughter and I didn’t want to eat anything after seeing this act. She tried eating a slice of pineapple, however, broke out from it. She never had an allergic reaction in the past from pineapple. The food was presented lovely, but my table STRANGER said that it tasted weird. Other issue, when I booked the reservation it was for a specific friends birthday under the specific friend name. They booked it under that name and the friend birthday party was scheduled for October 3, 2015, but they confirmed it was for September 12th. When I went to the office before the ship was to sail about their mistake, they said it was nothing that they could do. Warning eat the food at your own risk. Now I know why people on cruises in large numbers end up with virus’

Terrible experience The soda is an extra fee, they promise filet when you book and change it to boneless shortribs from a terrible cut of dry meat. The service is slow/non existent The staff is plain rude in some cases. We were walking back to our table and caught a waitress taking our served salads and giving them to another table because she ran out of plates. We were short an app plate and never got it after complaining. The«international desserts» is cake that’s partially frozen still. The salad was soggy as if they prepped it the night before. The two dance floor promise was wrong to as they closed one floor and the one that was open the ac was leaking and had a puddle on it! Would not recommend this to anyone! The only good thing was the view and peaceful upper deck not worth the $

The food is ok, but service was horrible and drinks are ok, but the table water taste salty and bad. Our waitress was only twice to our table and we ordered a mimosa and it took 25 minutes to get to the table. Nice view.

Ok, we went on the princess. Let me start with the good… All staff members I encountered were very friendly and polite. Even when I was walking about the boat the staff I saw helping others seemed like quality personalities. The cruise itself was much nicer then I expected. Pretty good views of the verrazano off in the distance and areas of the Jersey shore that I never found appealing looked pretty good. Also it goes under the outer bridge crossing which was really nice on the way back. Salad was acceptable. The beef short ribs were not dissapointing however I had lowered my expectations the potatoes that came with the short ribs were excellent. Dessert was the best part of the meal cheesecake was better then I expected and tirimisu was also much better then I expected keep in mind every minute I was there I was lowering my expectations. The not so good… Drink service was very slow, there wasn’t a bartender I could go directly to, The bottled beers they we’re much warmer then I can forgive. The bread was quartered kaiser rolls. The appetizers were carelessly tossed onto each other cross contaminating the varieties in a way that could have been easily advoided. The pasta was a very small portion(several fork fulls, which I loved and everyone else complained about) What was bad about the pasta in my opinion was just that for a small portion I expected it to taste good and the sauce had a burned taste and the cheese they topped it with is that fake parmesean that they sell in grocery stores that never needs to be refrigerated. The only vegetarian entrée was eggplant parmesean and my wife disliked it also it didn’t come with the potatoes that my short ribs did which would have probably made her OK with it, I shared mine with her but they still lose the star for entrées. Also the vessel has seen and smelled much better days. I honestly can’t advise you if you should or shouldn’t go. I can say that I do not look foward to ever going back, but I don’t dread the possibility because the staff was friendly and there was ample space to sit outside without other people being on top of us. I would deffinately eat a full meal as close as possible prior to embarking onto another one of these.

Christ. Horrible experience. About two minutes after we sat down the waiter came over and asked«What do you want?» Great start. The food was horrendous. Appetizers were frozen shrimp. Salad was wilting lettuce and craft salad dressing. Steak was absolutely flavorless and tasted like the lunches I used to get in public school. Music sucked and nobody danced. Boat windows were filthy, which didn’t seem to matter since there was nothing to look at. Never went into NY harbor or even close. Ordered drinks that were horrible also. The manager sitting out doing paperwork was a nice touch as well. All around the staff was lazy, inattentive, stupid sounding and useless. Would have never come to this knowing that it is in NJ if not for my girlfriend’s mother(who is incapable of reading reviews apparently) buying us cheap tickets. I guess what can you expect from New Jersey. Don’t let the fake reviews on groupon or even here fool you. This was horrible.

This experience was mediocre at best. Took the 4 course dinner cruise for my bday. The boat had Christmas lights around the bar and some other cheesy décor. I wish I had put my jeans on. However the DJ was entertaining throughout the sailing but we really couldn’t identify where we were on the river most of the time. It seemed like we sailed back and forth in the same spot. The food was ok… drinks were pretty good. I totally enjoyed the sangria and the soul train line dancing brought it on home at the end! Overall, it was something to do since we had a groupon. I wouldn’t dare pay full price though. I’ve sailed on NYC cruises with much more ambiance & better food. Signed, Didn’t luv it!

*based on the other reviews, lower stars were given to the DINNER cruise. I went on a Saturday LUNCH cruise and it was great. *we shared a table with a lovely couple who reserved for their seats the night before, so their confirmation did not go thru, which lead to a bit of drama and confusion that delayed the cruise a bit. RESERVEINADVANCE. *for lunch, there were both hot and cold items. I only tried the hot items: string beans, pasta, chicken, salmon, turkey, potatoes, and rice. Everything was good, but the turkey was delicious! *everyone gets only ONE slice of the dessert that’s available for the day. There was chocolate cake, cheesecake, and tiramisu.(All served by the waiter.) The cheesecake and tiramisu were excellent, but I was a bit disappointed because the website offered«unlimited international dessert». *water, hot tea, and coffee are included. You have to pay extra for any other drinks. They accept credit card as long as there’s a $ 10 minimum. *our DJ did a phenomenal job. There was a mix of 90s and today’s hits, oldies, and he took requests(slow songs) as well. *we were basically free to roam around and take pictures. It was windy in the morning, but the weather was beautiful by the time we made a turn by the Verrazano Bridge.

The four of us went on the Sunday brunch cruise. We had a great time. The boat was clean, nice ambiance, great music and tasty food. The drinks weren’t overpriced and the crowd was very diverse. I would have given it 5 stars but the scenery was terrible. All you see is small towns and dirt mounds. I wish the cruise route went past some fields, a city or beautiful bridge. Besides the cruise route, everything was great!

Took the four course dinner cruise last night with my boyfriend. Thankfully we received it as a Christmas gift in the form of a Groupon, so the only thing we paid for(aside from weak sangria) was $ 33 in taxes and gratuity. Can’t really knock something when it’s practically free right? Ehh. let’s start with: Pros: –Food was not that bad(except for the dessert, which was partially frozen) –Music was pretty good, DJ played a variety of genres and took requests –Staff was friendly –Although the outside looks like an old ferry, the atmosphere inside is respectable enough –a bit dated, but on the fancy side. Bathrooms were a little skeevy, but they were all private, which is a plus in my book. –Not a horrible deal with the Groupon — everything except alcohol included it was about $ 60/person Cons: –Service was slow. It took a good ½ hr to get water and order drinks. The people on the lower level consistently got their courses anywhere from 30 – 45 mins before we did. –Spent $ 36 on a pitcher of red sangria which neither myself nor my boyfriend so much as caught a buzz from. –Unless you think industrial crap is a sight to see, there’s nothing to look at other than water. –I had my heart set on ordering the vegetable lasagna as my main course. Turns out the menu we had on our table(along with being dirty and having 4 ridiculous typos) was completely wrong. The only vegetarian option they had for that night was eggplant rollatini. The bad news: I don’t like fried eggplant or ricotta cheese. The good news: I was pretty full from the previous courses, so I didn’t leave hungry. –Wayyy tooo looongggg! From start to finish, it took almost 5 hours. Around 8 p.m. I asked our waiter what time we’d be docking. He said 11, which already seemed late to me. 11 o’clock comes, and we(along with many others on the 2nd floor) hadn’t even been served dessert yet. Because of this, disembarkment was delayed until 11:45, and I was more than eager to abandon ship. Final advice: If you have to go, do so with an entertaining group of friends, order beer and/or wine(they can’t water that shiz down) and leave your high expectations at the dock. Oh, and don’t forget your patience, you’ll need plenty of that.

We did a 4-course Sunday dinner cruise. There was a sweet sixteen party below deck so we asked our designated female server to seat us on the top floor on one of the table-for-two if there were any available. We payed an extra $ 10/person for that and were moved to the top deck. Unfortunately, our female server completely forgot about us. She never checked on us and never told one of the upstairs servers to take care of us. It was only after the h’orderves were served that one of the male servers on that floor took notice and added us as one of his customers. He moved us to a larger table(a table for 4), gave a complementary drink for the misunderstanding(completely not his fault), and took our drinks & entrée orders. He was excellent. The food was good with plenty of time in between to go below deck to dance or to walk around outside.

I went on this because of a groupon deal. Trust me, do not buy it. This cruise travels from Perth Amboy, NJ around NJ and Staten Island. There is absolutely nothing to see around there. The interior is decent. 3 levels with two levels being the dining area. The bottom level has a dance floor. The food is okay. The groupon deal gave us a buffet. Coffee, water, tea were complimentary. Wait service is quite slow here and sometimes they skipped our table. The DJ, well he played some really crappy songs in the beginning, but then warmed up by playing some music that we hear today. The cruise says to come in business casual, but half the passengers were dressed and others were dressed in shorts and short sleeves. Save yourself some time and money. Don’t go on this cruise line. Just go another cruise in Manhattan.
