The funeral home itself looks like someone’s old house. Luckily, we just used the church for the wake. When discussing funeral plans, I felt that the director was long winded and made somewhat inappropriate jokes which in light of my family planning a death in the family was not appreciated at that time. The discussion took twice as long as it needed because of this and as we were already lacking sleep and planning arrival of friends and family.
On the bright side, the funeral proceeded flawlessly and the day-​of attendants made sure everything ran effortlessly.
