Wonderful small winery and orchard. The tractor tour was fun and informative. Winemaker Charlie definitely knows his stuff! Had a wonderful time seeing the property and tasting some delicious wine!

Great small winemaker right outside Peshastin! My wife my daughter and I stopped at this cute spot which sits right on the banks of the Wenatchee river. This is a small operation but we tasted a extremely dry Reisling which was great and a 2008 Cab. that was very good as well! The owner gave us a tractor hayride tour of the property, they grow Apples and Pears on this 28 acre spread as well. My eight year old daughter loved the tour! He then showed us the winemaking operation, it was great! Bear in mind this is a small scale set-up he bottles and corks all his stock with the help of his wife and a couple of friends so don’t show up expecting a huge operation. We had a ball, made me want to start my own small wine making biz!

I always stop at Wedge Mountain Winery during my trips to Leavenworth or when I am heading to Lake Chelan. My wife and I really like their Lemberger and Roses & Rubies. Last time we were their, we brought in some food we got from the cheese shop in Leavenworth and had a little picnic right there at the winery.

Get off of the freeway, follow some country roads, and eventually there is a big gate to the winery. The friendly winery dog greeted us as soon as we drove up. I liked the pinot grigio, but my partner thought they were a little too creative with it. They make two different lembergers: dry and semi-sweet. I actually really liked the dry one. This was the first Washington winery I’ve been to that does lembergers. I’m new to this whole wine tasting thing, so maybe there are more out there. It had a fun berry taste. The semi-sweet lemberger had a weird smell, not bad, but something I couldn’t place. The dessert wine — roses & rubies — is gang busters good. It’s like raspberries, chocolate and wine all together. We got a bottle of that, but didn’t know about the owner signing a bottle as other reviewers have mentioned. Perhaps he wasn’t around.

If you are searching for an interesting place for a tasting and a great chardonnay go the Wedge Mountain. It is on the highway right outside peshastin. Like I said they have a pretty good extremely buttery and tasty not too oaky Chard. I don’t really remember any of the other wines. The cool thing is you can have the winemaker Charlie come out and sign your bottle if he is around.
