This truck was at the Petaluma outlets today. I had the jerk chicken meal. It came with chicken, fried plantain, rice with beans, cole slaw and salad. Everything was really good. Can’t wait to try something different on their menu next time!

I went to a Unilocal Elite Event at the SoMa StrEat Food Park and Carribean Spices was participating by giving us free sample plates. * Creole Jerk Chicken — 3 stars pic: «Spicy» here is legit! The rice is a bit dry, the salad plain. The spice is in the rice & the chicken. But the chicken was very dry & unimpressive. * Griot(Pork bites) — 4 stars pic: Same rice & salad as the chicken, but the pork was WAY better. Crispy on the outside, tender & moist on the inside. A world of difference! Menu:

I’ve been looking for a Haitian restaurant ever since I moved to the Bay area almost two years ago. I finally found Carribean Spices DBA last week and am I glad I did! Frantz catered some great food for my friends and I(we were craving Griyo) that transport us back to when we were in Haiti. The food was delicious and just what we needed. I am looking forward to ordering again and can’t wait to try the Oxtail next time.
