Palmgren’s Engravables

I had my name engraved on a hardwood Derby cane here a while back and they did a very good job. I was able to choose a typeface I was familiar with (Copperplate) and the engraving they did was deep and sharp-​edged which made for a nice look. Unfortunately the cane was stolen from me and my name engraved on it apparently had no deterrent effect!
BTW, I don’t know if it’s still available or not, but at that time there was honey for sale at the front counter which was excellent. The brand was Pendell’s and it was from Northern CA

The only engraving company who will engrave leather! The quality is great and the turn around time was a week. They could have had it done quicker but I didn’t need it. The service was great and I am very satisfied with the product. Will defiantly come back for more engraving!

Went in today to find Ruth had exceeded her initial foundry turn around. We purchased a solid bronze memorial for the teak bench we are gifting and extremely happy with the outcome. This is why they merit such high grades.

I wouldn’t use them again, which is a shame because the lady I spoke to on the phone initially was great — very friendly and informative, made me feel confident that they would do a good job.
But when I turned up at their store service was cool at best. I referred to the phone call I had previously made and the quote I had been given. The price she told me in store was suddenly quite a bit more than what they had told me over the phone. She said the price I had been quoted was impossible. Unfortunately, having driven 40 minutes to get to their store, and having a hungry/​tired 1yr old with me, I was in no position to argue further, so I agreed to have my engraving done. I was told it would take AT LEAST a full week to do! Really? 8 days to engrave a name? Again, I felt my hands were tied as I needed it done in 10 days so I agreed. I explained what I wanted and in consultation with the lady working there, chose a font.
8 days later I returned to collect my engraved item — the engraving was barely visible!
Given the miscommunication, very high prices, long turn-​around time, and poor end result, I can’t recommend this place unfortunately.

I came here in a panic, needing a plaque made in 26 hours (give or take). Mrs. Palmgreen helped me select and design a plaque, and had it ready for me in under a day. Friendly, helpful service, and a great finished product. I don’t know when I’ll need another plaque, but it will be made here.
