I took a pair of shoes here a couple years ago to have a strap repaired and the strap broke again the day after I brought them home. I took these same shoes to Tate’s in Santa Rosa, where they were beautifully repaired and are still in great shape.
I forgot to write a review until today, when a friend reminded me of the bad service here. She took her shoes to have a sole replaced. Shortly after that the sole came off, she took it back and had it fixed, and again the sole fell came off. She returned a 3rd time to ask for her money back and was told no and that he never wanted to see her again.
I will never go here again and do not recommend this business.

I had an awesome experience with Petaluma Fast Shoe Repair. I went here on a recommendation from a friend. I had a pair of Frye Boots cleaned, reconditioned, new shoe lining put in them and he fixed the soles of my boots as well. These boots are near and dear to me as I have had them since 1979. The owner did a fabulous job on my boots and he restored them so that I can now wear them again and, I do. I will recommend others to come here and I will certainly go back. I agreed to the price and I paid up front, but I don’t feel like I was overcharged and my boots were finished in a timely fashion as I was promised.

Everything the other reviewers said is true. The guy is nasty, way overcharges and does shoddy work. He collected $ 40 from us up front for heels and soles for a woman’s pair of shoes. They weren’t ready on time and when I went to pick them up, he had not put new soles on but just glued the old ones back on and in the process got glue on the side of one shoe.
When I told him that was not as had been agreed, he argued with me, refused to back down and honor his word and simply stated that his labor cost a lot. I think this guy is a rip off artist. DON’T GO THERE — here are better choices in Petaluma!

Yep… I agree with Brad O., and Fern C. The owner is rude, has ZERO customer service skills, and as soon as he quoted me a price and I agreed, he added the tax and expected me to pay up front. Not a chance buddy. I’m so glad I walked out!

Never going back.
the guy is gruff and charges too much.
Here’s some advice,
smile,
and
don’t charge too much for work that takes no time at all
(he put a Doctor Scholls insert into my daughter’s shoe with some glue).(did not sew or staple).
Then, in response to a request for another hole in the belt,
he harumphed and reluctantly punched another hole in the belt and charged us $ 21.00
total time at the shop (7 minutes.)
