My new favorite place to rent SUP. Friendly, helpful, and so easy to rent from. I had no idea this gem was tucked away here. I love Petaluma and this is the best way to visit. Paddle up river, have lunch, drink a beer, eat pie, do some boutique shopping, and float back to the marina. Buy a dry bag because you’re going to find a lot that you’ll want to spend your money on in downtown Petaluma.

My wife surprised me with a new paddle board for my birthday and it looks awesome! She said she received very great costumer service and got a really bodacious deal. I cant wait to hit the water.

My family and I went here on Sunday. We paddled for an hour to downtown Petaluma parked the boards, went for a lovely lunch and then paddled back! What a wonderful way to spend the day, and all in Petaluma! The business is very friendly, helpful and good value.

I went to the PSUP weekly Wednesday event with some friends to check it out. We had such a great time. Trevor and Michael are really nice guys with lots of knowledge. We are all beginners and they gave us a run down on paddle boarding, no casualties! I highly recommend this shop and their events!

If I could give 6 stars I would! The boards were easy to maneuver and good quality. Mike was very attentive and knowledgeable. He is such a pleasant person and you could tell that he loves what he does. He really made us feel like we were ohana. I would definitely recommend stopping by and saying hi to Mike. Two thumbs up!

Yes the spot is nice and its a short drive from the city but what made it for us was Mike! Such a nice man and extremely informative on different boards for differen recreational fun. If I am on the market for a board I would rather spend my money there. It feels better to buy local and it would be worth it to see Mike again. Go to PSUP if you need to get away from the city, you get a great workout and a chance to meet Mike… such a great guy and a great time! Thanks Mike,

Standup paddling is a great time… Pretty much anywhere you can do it. However, PSUP may take the cake for overall best place to rent/buy/learn about paddleboarding in Northern California. Mike, the owner and a seasoned SUPer, helped us get our blades and boards, and gave us a quick tutorial. He answered all our questions on inflatable boards and best places to go to paddle. We couldn’t have been more annoying, and he couldn’t have been any nicer or more accommodating. What a gem. They even do free Wednesday night SUP events during the summer. I live in SF and vow to go up there before the season end to join in on the midweek festivities. This place is great, the river was fun to paddle around in(and taking a beer break at Dempsey’s was also a treat), and PSUP is a great place to get you on the water. Mahalo, Mike!

What a great experience! My wife had been wanting to do this for a long time so I took her here for a secret. She loved it! Michael is great. He welcomed us and got us all set up for our day. It was our first time paddling so he showed us everything we needed to know about paddle boarding. Paddle Boarding is pretty straight forward and you should be able to get it down within a few minutes. There’s a lot to see on the river so have a plan. We chose to make our way downtown so we could stop at Taps for a brew. Regardless of where you choose to go, you shouldn’t have difficulty mooring your board(Just remember to take your paddle with you and moor between 8am and 8 pm). It’s a great way of traveling. If you love Petaluma, you should go to PSUP. Paddling up the Petaluma River and seeing the D street bridge, the turning basin, and downtown from the water level allowed me to appreciate the city from a different perspective. There is no doubt that I’ll be heading there more now that it’s summer. Tips: make a reservation or call ahead during the weekends. You might have to wait a few minutes if they are getting someone else set up do take a few minutes to cheek out the catalogues.

These guys run a stand up operation! No pun intended! Really enjoyed the hands on experience we got from Trevor. Lots of great info on proper technique and recommendations/great pricing on new & used equipment. We tried out the Yoga paddle this weekend and loved the tranquility of it. We’ll be back!

Amazing spot! This is a family owned business right on the water. They gave us a few tips and even walked our boards down to the water! It was a gorgeous day and we got to row through town. So cool! There is even a spot where you can dock your board, grab a beer and then SUP away. We have SUPed other places in the past, being on the river it’s a bit calmer and great for beginners as well as intermediates. Plus, the staff here is super friendly. Would highly recommend this place. Check it out!

This little family owned SUP joint is the best, with the true aloha spirit and fun I was looking for to get me started with stand up paddle boarding. Michael and Trevor were both super accommodating and have all sorts of great deals and options for those interested in either renting or owning. My hubby and I went for our first ride in the Petaluma river, and they carried the boards down to the water and put us right in, and since it was a bit of a choppy cold day, they paddled with us and arranged it for all of us to be picked up a certain point, and even loaded the boards on racks and took us back to the shop where our car was. Their shop is cute and cozy with some seriously gorgeous boards, a selection of t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and really pretty«wind chimes» made of locally found driftwood, seashells etc. Enjoy the Hawaiian music, spirit and feel when you visit these guys! And by the way, SUP is such a good and fun workout, and you get to see parts of the river, wildlife, and countryside that you never would if not actually cruising down the river!
