I love the pictures I got for my family’s holiday card. Katie was a fabulous photographer, both friendly and creative. Also, I was surprised how much it helped to have an assistant, as it allowed for a better picture with enhanced lighting. It was also really nice that we got the pictures quickly and easily. My holiday cards are being printed now!

Katie is a versatile photographer with a keen eye and a huge heart: the perfect combination for a headshot photographer. Though she is much more than a headshot photographer (documentarian, portraitist, fine artist) she was the first person I thought of to take my new shots. She has a unique eye for composition and her portraits capture a glint of the subject which makes your eye linger. Of equal importance, Katie is a consummate professional with a personality that immediately puts you at ease. I had a blast with her the day of our shoot. We walked around Dumbo chatting and discovering new corners and sun-​drenched streets for photos. She gave helpful direction and made me laugh through the cold December afternoon. She braved the cold with me without complaint. A testament to her generosity, we passed a family exiting Jane’s Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park. They were dressed in Santa-​wear and looked adorable. Katie stopped them to tell them how cute they looked and asked if she could take their picture. They now have a beautiful family portrait with the moon over the Brooklyn Bridge courtesy of Katie’s benevolence, and I have an arsenal of beautiful photos to audition with. Choosing just one was difficult and I am so happy with my new headshot. Thank you, Katie!

Katie has photographed my family three times over the past two years: a baby/​mama session at the Brooklyn Botannic Gardens, and two holiday mini-​sessions in Prospect Park. The mini-​sessions are so perfect for families with kids — under an hour is perfect for short attention spans, yet we ended up with hundreds of beautiful photos! The mini-​session is also an affordable option for someone who wants great photos but doesn’t want to spend and arm and a leg (which is easy to do in Park Slope!)
She’s so great with kids, and got my two year old to smile again and again (no easy feat!). She’s SUPER friendly and made us feel relaxed in front of the camera right away — yet she’s also very professional and her photos speak for themselves.
The photos are gorgeous and we can’t wait to sign up for the holiday mini-​sessions next year. I would highly recommend Katie to anyone who wants a great experience and beautiful family photos!
