Wow. Just got back from a long weekend at the DeCarli house, and I already miss the comfortable bed, quiet clean serenity, gorgeous deep vintage tub, and large TV/lounge space with massive, eclectic movie collection. We walked downtown on Saturday, had top-notch coffee, poked around in the cute shops til the Farmer’s Market started at 2pm. We stocked up on local produce and wares, then headed back to the house to cook a very satisfying meal. The kitchen will please any foodie. Regrets: sad we missed seeing the«whisker contest» at the Farmer’s Market. Petaluma is a great blend of old-school agricultural folks, hippie-holdovers and young entrepreneurial energy. Go!

This place is gorgeous, and fully appointed for the discerning visitor. I was lucky enough to have found this place, thanks to a dear old friend, and I will definitely return for future«getaway weekends» in Petaluma and the surrounding wine country of Northern California. Be sure to check out some pictures of the place, because it is certainly not the typical style for Petaluma; Classic, sleek, modern design with unique finishes and a beautiful«back-story» to boot! Did I mention they were VERY«eco-centric» in the design and outfitting of this place, too? JUSTGO! You won’t regret your decision.

Just spent the weekend here with my girlfriend. The house is huge, easily large enough for 3 couples to stay in comfortably. For 3 couples, the price is actually way cheaper than some of the local hotels we looked at. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, but only a few minutes walk from a cool little bar and another few minutes to the downtown with lots of restaurants/bars/theater, etc. They also had bikes available for us to cruise around on. The owners, who live right next door, were super helpful and we even arranged a tour of the Sonoma Wine country. The house is custom designed from top to bottom and is unlike any place I ever stayed before and we really enjoyed it. It was so nice to have a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a full entertainment center at our disposal. It was so much nicer than one of the crappy local hotels. We will definitely be back soon, with friends.
