If you’re looking for a heart attack, this is the place to go! On 3 occasions, they DRENCHED my toast with butter to the point where the box and the bread was drenched. I literately squeezed the butter out of the toast like water in a sponge. I nearly puked. The first two times I just tossed it out and asked the owner to take note. Now, coming back again. Giving them the benefit of the doubt because their food WAS once decent. I regret my choice yet again. The service is a nightmare. The server doesn’t speak English and gave me the wrong food after I SLOWLYANNUNCIATED«skillet.SKILL-ET» 3 times over the phone and she still hands me a scramble. What’s best is her attitude in defending her claim that I said scramble… Uhhh sorry, I know the word that came out of my mouth. Maybe you should study up on the English language before serving those who speak English. Best part — My new order is still incorrectly made! Asked for extra gravy, and this plate of crap couldn’t be more dry. What a joke.

I’ve been here two times, and both times I leave smelling like oil all over. Both time I’ve had to go home and change clothes and shower before I could go anywhere else. Because the kitchen is open and takes up almost half the space, you will end up smelling like food after you leave! Regardless, the food is alright. Nothing really special in my opinion, just typical diner food. I’ve had their Vintage Burger with sourdough, bacon, and avocado. It’s quite good, but again nothing I haven’t eaten before. Nothing really«wowed» me with this place. It’s really small with few tables. There may be a wait during lunch or brunch hours, and they don’t open late(close around 3pm, I believe). The service is just average. Server was not rude by any means, but seemed to only do the bare minimum. I feel like there are better alternatives if you really want a good burger in Petaluma. Again, I can’t stand the smell that sticks with you when you leave this place. That alone makes me not want to go back.

Been here a couple times and had up and down experiences. My first experience was bad bad and I’m not sure why I went back. Yes I am, I was exhausted and needed breakfast, off hours. My first visit, they sat a group of 3 that came in well after me before me and told me I’d have to wait 20 – 25 minutes. That was rude, going for the big table and forcing the single to wait. And I can’t stand long. I got annoyed and left. They play favorites to their regulars too. It’s a Sysco-Monsanto based diner so three stars is the max I’ll give. They do it pretty well though. We’ll go again. Be aware they have their own inexplicable busy times. But, no matter breakfast is all day! Until they close at nine merrrrpp. So it’s a pretty good mixed basket. Maybe I’ll find out they serve good local organic eggs or something so I can upgrade them. Had egg breakfast and omelets high good quality but also had poached eggs filled with water the chef tried to fix by soaking up with his dirty rag. BOO, BADCHEFMOVE, I did object and got fresh ones, I hope. It seems they aren’t too familiar with rules? I hope that’s wrong but is probably more common than I’d like to imagine. We just usually get to see the whole kitchen like here. I’m not the person who likes to post MEH or bad reviews but I think they can improve things and this diner deserves that chance. I’m hoping they’ll improve. The girls are sweet, patient and efficient. I’ll forgive the offense once because servers are so underpaid. Yeah, we’ll come back and hope our good trips outweigh the bad.

Everything except the soup and the half sandwich on marble rye bread, is very good. The soups are truthfully lousy. The Beef and Vegetable Barley tasted like it was poured out of a can. The New England Clam Chowder was distinctly floury, and the potatoes were undercooked. Both soups arrived at the table just above lukewarm in temperature. The half sandwich on marble rye was difficult to eat because the bread immediately fell apart. Other menu items I have had there were great! So it was disappointing to experience the food fails. Clean establishment, friendly and attentive wait staff, reasonably priced. Their omlets and burgers are delicious!

Well our secret place is no longer a secret — such a great place to eat! My husband loves the breakfast burrito and I love their corned beef hash(as an omlet it’s also delicious!). The service is always fantastic and the price point is perfect.

I ordered a sourdough burger. Funny things is the bread wasn’t really sour. It was served on a French roll. Not to worry, it was very good. Over a half a pound of beef. Onions fresh. Tomato fresh. And cooked medium like I requested. The patty was very soft. I also ordered the soup during jour. Tomato and basil soup with ravioli. Not salty. Very good as well. If I’m in petaluma, I will be back. Place was very small but still felt cozy and inviting.

This is my husbands and my go to breakfast place. We tried quite a few here in town and always have our best meals here. The portion size is generous and prices are reasonable. They have a smaller seating area so sometimes you have to wait but never longer the 10 – 15 min. The employees are also friendly and are willing to make sure you happy with your meal. Go here before you consider going to lumberjacks! You won’t be disappointed!

By far the best place to get breakfast in Petaluma. It checks off all the major boxes, good prices, great staff, and top quality food. My wife and I have been here many times since we moved to the area and have never had a bad meal. Let’s start with the basics, it’s in the same shopping center as Raley’s and Trader Joe’s. On the inside it looks like it used to be something different, maybe a fast food joint? So what I’m getting at is that this is a smaller place. Maybe 8 – 10 tables and a few seats at the counter. You may have to wait but no more than 10 – 15 minutes. The staff is always great, friendly and attentive. On to the food, I am a huge fan of corned beef. Definitely my favorite breakfast meat. Here they know what’s up! Let’s get this clear, no canned corned beef here. This is the real deal corned beef. I usually order the Irish skillet. It’s a huge plate of sliced corned beef over country potatoes and topped with eggs. Amazing! So filling, the seasoning is on point and you get toast on top of that. My wife mixes it up a little more than I do, pancakes, french toast, or just eggs and something but she must have the hash browns for sure. She says they are the best in town. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast, craziest part is they even do lunch. I’m sure I’ll try that at some point and I have a feeling it will most likely be just as good. Definitely give them a try, support a local business, just save me a table.

No-nonsense. Good food and solid service. Convenient location. My kids are always asking me to go to Zee’s for breakfast. Omelettes are great and the«Country Favorite» breakfast is fantastic.

Recently have been exploring places for breakfast in Petaluma. So far, I’m glad I FINALLY decided to try this place. Reasonably priced and generous portions. Also, if I’m not mistaken the coffee that I ordered with my breakfast was FREE. Bonus point. It’s a little hidden in the North McDowell plaza shopping center and have passed by this place so many times. The only real criticism that I would make is that they should add more booths and tables to make the place more inviting or add some more«diner décor» to the walls to make it pop. I will definitely be coming back to this place as long as it’s open. Palms Grill is really good but a little overpriced.

Great standard breakfast food at reasonable prices. The staff is great. Angeleah, Angie, and Brit are the best! One complaint is that they don’t open the outside patio enough even when it’s a nice day. The wait can be somewhat long on Sunday afternoons if you don’t call ahead to reserve a table.

Zee’s serves breakfast all day, but closes at 3, so no dinner. The diner is situated in a shopping center that contains Rayley’s, Petco and Trader Joe’s, so it was odd that 3 other restaurants tried and failed in that location. This one won’t fail! There was standing room only when I went today, but I was quick to be seated when a table for 1 became available. I had the«3 Meat Skillet», which contained bacon, ham and sausage in small amounts, «Country Potatoes» and green onions and cheese. It was a large helping. I had to ask for a box for half of it! My only complaint, if it is one is that the dish would be better if the chef browned the potatoes before mixing in the other ingredients. I will definitely return… maybe for lunch. They offer burgers, sandwiches, etc. The restaurant is clean, the servers attentive, and Zee’s is «a find»!

This is one of the best places I have been to since moving down here! Great Service, Great Prices, and best of all, Great Food! Casual attire for a casual place, and very amicable, and friendly staff! You will enjoy the menu, the price, and of course the food. Total Five Star experience without the Five star price!

Zee’s is the bees knees! Petalumans agree to ask for Angie. The pancakes are a pleasure, the eggs are extraordinary, the salsa is superb, and the fruit: that is fantastic. Thank you Zee for my full belly!

Terrible service. My mom, son and I came in for lunch and our waitress was Angel. We were seated and 2 more tables were seated after us. She took the 2 tables’ order before ours, she didn’t come back to ask if we needed anything or how our food was. No smile. No personality. Nothing. The food was delicious though.

Stuck on between ¾ stars, read as 3.5. The food was good. Not amazing but definitely not bad, just a little bland. The banana milkshake was awesome, and my friend said her burger was very good. I can’t recall the exact name of my dish, but it was potatoes, chicken fried steak, eggs and country gravy. Good but again, on the bland side. It is a little cramped in there, the service was okay. I would return but order something else.

Excellent little diner. Food was delicious! When our server said that the turkey was fresh roasted everyday and that the corn beef was the best, I took her word for it. I tried the club sandwich with the fresh roasted turkey and real bacon. Yummy. Coleslaw was fresh and tasty, simple and satisfying. I want to go back and try the corned beef and also the Garden Burger, which looked delicious and gratifying. Apple pie was tasty, served warm with fresh whipped cream. Apples were soft but firm and not too sweet or tart. The crust was flaky and crumbled nicely. But the crust lacked flavor. I don’t mind an unsweetened crust, but for me, it must have a flavor, such as butter or something close to it. Still, I enjoyed the entire experience and yes, I will go back. Oh and service was outstanding, excellent!

It was the wife’s turn to pick a lunch place today. We came here about noon and were promptly seated. I liked the menu cause it was small and not pages and pages to go through. I had the French dip with a side of fruit. The sandwich was HUGE! Lots of meat, cheese, grill onions & tomatoes too. The roll it came on was really soft and buttered then put on the grill to get a nice crunch:-) The side of fruit was banana, 2 types of melon, grapes, pineapple & apple. The wife had corn beef or pastrami sandwich. It had thick pieces of meat on it. No thinly sliced stuff. Very reasonable prices, HUGE portions & friendly waitress. What’s not to like.
