This is a great place to get food in petersburg. The food is always good and I’ve eaten almost everything on the menu. Their calzone is amazing. Only problem I’ve ever had is Unilocal says there open until ten. I’ve called at 9:15pm to place an order and been told there closed. The fact someone answered to tell me they were close was weird. Had a vague notion i was blown off so they could clean up early but i could be wrong. I’ll still be eating there either way.

We had a group of 5 people and a baby. We tried 4 pastas, cheese steak sandwich, and the chicken nuggets. Everything was delicious even better the sweet tea. Glad we stopped by here on the way through. Would happily eat here again.

This place sucks! Pizza is the worst I have ever had! Canned mushrooms, all processed food. You would think living in a farming Comunity they would buy local and make a great pizza. Stopped eating at the location in Moorefield a few years ago because my son and I both got sick after eating it. Was very happy after they opened up because food was good and then the quality fell off. They need to stop being cheap with their ingredients and take advantage of what is local and put out a great product

This was my first time at Anthony’s(first time in the area). We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and mild wings. The crust was great and the sauce had a ripe tomato taste. The mushrooms seemed to be canned. The wings were crispy and meaty. If I came back to the area I would definitely stop in to try a hot sub.

Recently stopped in Petersburg, WV after a weekend of camping in the Dolly Sods, Wilderness Area with a friend from out of town. After searching in Petersburg for places that were open on a Sunday afternoon, Anthony Jr’s was the only non-chain(Dairy Queen/Subway) that we could find, and preferring local establishments, we decided to give this place a shot. The restaurant is in a non-assuming roadside building located beside a liquer shop, however when walking it, it has a warm, small-town homeyness to it, where you’re greeted as an old friend at the door, and invited to seat yourself. For a mid-Sunday afternoon, the place was surprisingly full, with about half of the tables in the admittedly small dining room fill with families taking late lunches. Service was quick and efficient, and they served Sweet Tea, so a star there for that(and it was quite good, home brewed with plenty of sugar, just the way I like it). We were looking for something quick to eat, so both of us went for their hoagies; my friend got the 12″ Pizza and I got the 12″ Steak, and we each shared half to the other. The food came out in what seemed like record time, and it was all piping hot(which was welcome on a cool fall day). The bread they used was particularly memorable, as it was soft and fluffy, with just a hint of crispyness on the outside from being toasted, and felt to me like it’d been made fresh that day. The fillings were piled high, and quite good and savory without being overly salty, especially on the Steak sub, which was nice. Additionally, unbeknownst to us at the time, they have a special for any 12″ sub for 4.99, so that made stopping here even more worthwhile. Definitely a place to keep in mind if you’re ever looking for a down-to-earth Italian place to eat when leaf peeping in the area.
