Food good, server ran like a chicken with her head cut off and did a really good job of taking care of everyone. Small place, clean. Had an omlette and potatoes, mom had eggs and ham. Good VA ham. Overall, good experience. Would make the rotation now and then if I lived in the area.

So yummy!!! Cheap prices, great service, cute little spot. Will be back for more!!!

This was our first visit, both to Petersburg and Jimmy’s, and we were totally thrilled. The waitstaff is outgoing and friendly, the food is excellent, and prices very reasonable. The restaurant itself is sparkling clean, quiet, and well-​lit. Great spot — we’ll be back!!!

We went as a large group for a farewell lunch and had a wonderful experience. The wait staff accommodated all 17 of us quickly and efficiently, putting two servers on our table to take all of our food and drink orders. The food came out quickly and was really good. The majority of our table ordered sandwiches and burgers (other offerings include grilled chicken and pulled pork) and everyone was happy with their meals. I ordered the philly cheese steak which, although not coming with the lettuce and tomato as I’d ordered (which they quickly brought me on the side), was very delicious. Possibly the best part is that it was incredibly cheap. My meal and coffee (which was included in the price) came to just over $ 8 with tax. That’s pretty hard to beat.
They do take credit cards now. I would recommend this place for lunch although it does seem they stay open long enough for an early dinner. This is definitely a place i will be returning to with friends for lunch.

I have to point out that this lil place is hard to find as its 1 street over from the main Crater road corridor. That said for lunch they have great offerings.
I am hooked on the Chicken salad that they have. Its huge and the chicken has great flavor. The other menu items are good too. I have had many over the past few years and have never had a bad meal here.
I think a sandwich with fries and tea is like 6 – 7 $, the staff is very friendly and if you go a few times they start to know you and will welcome you with each visit.
The lunch specials change daily and are also a good value.

This is one of my new favorite lunch spots! The only thing I’ve ever ordered is the Reuben platter… I can’t stray, it’s so good! It’s got just the right amount of fillings-​the corned beef is carved on the premises-it’s thoroughly heated through so you don’t bite into cold while eating which is a huge turnoff for me. The platters come with fries (or your choice of side) and coffee or tea, which makes it a good value. They also have breakfast and delicious homemade desserts. Beware that they only accept cash or check and have limited evening hours.
