First time skydiving and let me tell ya, I would recommend this place to anybody! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I was nervous as hell the whole way up and when we got there and got talking to the staff my worries vanished. Ben was my master tandem, and he was so informative and just an all around nice guy with many years of experience. The experience of free falling 10,500 from the ground was unbelievable. I can’t fathom the words of the experience I had. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody interested in their first jump, and I can’t wait for my next jump! Shout out again to Ben, Kurt, and the rest of the staff for giving me a great first time experience.

So while in East Palestine visiting family, my dad surprised me with a skydiving appointment– something I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do.
So I went with my cousin and his girlfriend, and ³⁄₃ of us have all agreed that thanks to our outstanding experience at Skydive Rick’s, we cannot wait to go again!
The experience itself was surreal, something you just have to do to understand how amazing and fun and awesome it was, but the staff here is what I think really helped the experience be the best it could be!
The staff were all very friendly and knowledgable, you could tell they knew exactly what they were doing, and while they took their jobs very seriously, they knew how to incorperate elements of fun and light-​heartedness into it, which was nice, because without those elements I probably would have chickened out haha.

One of our family members skydives here all the time and we’ve visited and met the owners, staff, and jumpers on many occasions. Our observation is that it’s a well-​run, thoughtful operation and feel he is always in safe hands!
Retired husband & wife team founded and operate this drop zone. They maintain a very strict safety culture and employ highly experienced jump, packing staff and pilots. With three piston airplanes based on their private field and their highly active jump clientele, it is easy to find a lift. Quiet corner in the country far northwest of PIT Class B and away from YNG/​BVI traffic patterns helps make this a safer airspace to transcend.
Skydive Rick’s is an excellent place for all parachute enthusiasts — from the newbie looking for a tandem jump to rookies wanting to learn more to highly experienced jumpers looking for international-​level aerobatics.

I went tandem skydiving here a couple weeks ago, it was less than 90 minutes from Pittsburgh. The people there know what they’re doing and Jimmy and Ben, our instructors, were awesome. They kept us calm and instructed us well. The jump was of course AMAZING and the view is spectacular, I won’t ever diss Ohio again.
The training area for tandem was a little awkward, using an old couch and rug in a living room setting to practice our jump. Even padded benches in a warehouse would have made me feel cooler. I guess I’ll have to sign up for solo classes for the whole experience.
Skydive Rick’s is a family business and their facilities is tucked away in a rural neighborhood in Petersburg. It’s not as glitzy as the other air sport companies in the area but they have knowledgeable staff and the lowest prices in the whole region.
