SRMC Southside Regional Medical Center

This place is horrible. I wouldn’t send my dog here. Some of the nursing staff are great but the rest are simply horrible. The facility is unkept and smells like poop. The housekeepers need to be fired.

Well spent quite a bit of time at this Hospital with some of my friends having surgery. Then another friend had a motorcycle accident and he was placed here also. But this is the first time I have been to this new Hospital. It is laid out where it isn’t hard to find your way around. And the parking is great there and easy to get in and out of the lot. Anyway if you were laid up in this Hospital I think you in good hands here from what I’ve seen. Everyone that was here that I knew is now at home recuperating and doing well.

I had the worst experience ever yesterday. The doctor stated I was slurring my words as if I had been drinking. I can’t drink right now as this is the 3^rd week of recovery from my hysterectomy. I also had been vomiting for 24 hours straight. I asked for something to stop the vomiting and nausea and the doctor was reluctant to give it to me. I also asked for a hida scan to see if my gall bladder was working at full capacity so he gave me a CT Scan. He refused to listen and would exit my room as quickly as possible. I also asked for pain meds as, like I said, am recovering from a hysterectomy and he refused. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I was treated like a drug addict and I even offered to do a breathalizer and a drug test.

Easy access from I-​95. Awesome welcome center, gift shop & cafeteria. Shuttle service to and from your vehicle if needed. Medical attention is great. Wait times are still the norm.

I had to have emergency surgery at this hospital and you couldn’t have asked for more kind and caring physicians, nurses, and staff. I was transferred there from another hospital because the OR flooded and I think I had a better experience at SRMC than I would have at the other hospital. Don’t be afraid to go to the hospital here! They’ll take great care of you, and the new location is soooo much better than the old.
