My husband and I went there on Friday night, it was super busy but we received great service. He ordered the butcher’s cut medium-well, I ordered a pub burger and glass of wine. The meals great. We will definitely stop by again.

The food is meh, but the atmosphere is great, especially on the weekend. I’d recommend coming for a few drinks and appetizers, then heading somewhere else for dinner.

Best steackhouse so far in Peterstown. Friendly staff and fast kitchen too. Unfortunately the waiter has forgotten my starter, but came with it short after complaining. Quality of the food is great! I ordered the ‘Butchers cut’, in medium-rare and the chef did it as expected! Awesome!

I was lucky to find this place while on business in Petersburg, Virginia. I read the reviews and it sounded like something I would enjoy. I really liked the ambiance and menu options. I order the brussels sprouts, smoked fish plate, and duck. They were all good, but could have seasoned better. The sprouts needed to be crunchier and the smoked fish was just okay. The duck was under seasoned. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but slightly missed the mark. I then had the chocolate mousse for dessert and it was good, but I preferred my husband’s bread pudding.

Traveled FAR from home and was looking for a full service restaurant. Relied solely on Unilocal! This spot was excellent. Although the location was odd, down a side street, and we almost drove away, the restaurant was perfect once we drove by! The building itself had so much character, the food was great, and the service was so helpful and polite! From the owner to wait staff. Highly recommend!

Saw some pictures of this place and thought it looked mhmm mh mhhhm. So I got seated and ordered the ceasar salad. Now im a meat lover but this ceasar salad was some type of good! When my steak came out and I bit into that tender, juicy goodness I almost passed out. I ordered five more of these steaks to take home and heat up in the microwave. When I left I hopped up into my pickup truck and halfway to my house, even thought they were cold, I just started gobbling down them steaks. I just couldnt control myself. By the time I ogt home I only had 2 ½ steaks left. Anyways this place is amazing!!! Come here and order the ribeye steak rare, it literally melts in your mouth, even 30 minutes after it was cooked adn your in your pickup truck!

The Brickhouse Run was an overall great experience. I ordered a Caesar salad that had fresh lemon soaked anchovies.(First experience) and it was crisp with freshly made croutons. Great choice for me. Entrée: the ribeye steak with bacon filled mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. My steak was cooked perfectly at «medium» and the sides were spectacular. Dessert: pear, cinnamon crème brûlée. Now I was a little skeptical when I was about to taste it but after indulging in that sweet goodness of a dessert… I am full and satisfied. Thanks Sarah for a lovely first experience at the Brickhouse Run.

The atmosphere of the restaurant appeared to be traditional with an abundance of history artifacts. The setting was calming and family friendly. The food was good, especially since we selected items that we were familiar with. The Flatbread appetizer is highly recommended if you are interested in having something that has a sweet/savory mouth fill. We tried the Petersburger, which was like any other typical burger. The waiter mentioned that their pickles are the best in town, although I am not a fan of pickles. We weren’t too impressed with the mashed potatoes that was served with the Butcher’s Cut — Ribeye and the greens were slightly bitter. To end the night we tried the peach Crème Brule, which was disappointing since the consistency of the dessert was not as thick as the usual Crème Brule. The service was good overall.

I’ve eaten here twice now and have not been disappointed. The food has been cooked wonderfully to order. Last night’s steak was great! I’ve also had the salmon, risotto, and bacon wrapped scallops. Awesome!!! My only wish is that the music be turned down just a little. Please? Tip: get here early. The place gets crowded quickly!

Fantastic pub located down an old cobblestone street. Walking in to the place is a little like walking back in time, except probably with better food and beer. We sat at a two-top by the window in the bar area, which has a few tables clustered around a fairly small bar. The dining room looked pretty welcoming too. As it was, we had a nice view of the restaurant and street outside. Very pleasant. Excellent food — tandoori-spiced ribs with very nice curried greens and flatbread, caesar salad with salmon. Free basket of bread. The well-prepared and superbly spiced ribs in particular I’d count as one of the better meals I’ve had this year. Great beer — local IPA on tap(didn’t catch the name). Several wines available and our server took some time to help choosing one. Service in general was superb. Our server was quick, knowledgeable, friendly and always there when needed. Not too expensive at all. I have to say, I’m glad there weren’t seats at the bar(where we normally prefer to sit). The bartender was pretty loud. He spoke too loudly and tossed dishes and glasses into the wash tubs behind the bar, creating an ear-splitting crash. The former is just who he is, but the latter is something I see in too many bartenders. My head would have hurt if I was sitting at the bar.

Amazing Ol’ Smokey burger at Burger Night! I took mine bunless and with a salad. Love this place in Old Town Petersburg. So much history and even Lincoln was here. The food is always great and the people are the friendliest!

While visiting Petersburg, found out a friend of mine from Hawaii was also visiting. Contacted and made plans to have dinner. From a Unilocal search, the Brickhouse Run sounded interesting. Made our way there, there was a public parking lot nearby. They had the British Pub look down pat, and we were quickly seated. Had to work the theme, so I ordered a local ale and the shepherd’s pie. The pie came in a bowl, interesting choice. A little light on the protein, but it was lamb– I’ve only have had it in a Shepherd’s pie in one other place, and it really elevates the dish. Price was on the high side too, but it was a special occasion. My friend had a soft shell crab dish wich was also tasty. Total with tip(for two meals and four drinks) was over $ 80. Having good food, good drinks, and shop talk with a friend from the hometown made it worth it. Looking forward to trying some dishes the next time my travels bring me back to this area. Recommend with caveats and will repeat.
