Best pie I have had in a long time! Great selection of deserts and sandwiches! We loved the chicken salad and manitou!

Have been here several times since visiting Petoskey & everytime was an excellent experience. The banana crème pie is my absolute favorite from here. We’ve also tried the turtle cake, rice krispie treats(which are HUGE by the way. Excellent) & my favorite, the Apple dumpling with pecans. Excellent place to indulge your sweet tooth.

This place is right around the corner from my office. I love to stop in at any time of day for a snack. Guilty of a wicked sweet tooth. Great pie, muffins, coffee, lunches and service. Try a pot pie for lunch sometime. Soup is always great on a cold day. Always greeted with a smiling face and a hello.

There are very few restaurants that deserve a 5 star rating, but the Grand Traverse Pie Company in Petoskey is one of them! While I dined there, Amy(the owner) was exceptionally sweet! She is very welcoming and you can tell that each and every customer is her #1 priority! Judy was the cashier while I was there and she was extremely friendly and helpful! No matter how complicated my order was, she never rushed me or made me feel like a pain! Because of Amy and Judy’s exceptional customer service, I will choose the Pie Company over any other restaurant in town! The restaurant is also extremely clean and has a great environment! DELICIOUS food too!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

A disappointing experience. I ordered a scramble wrap with sausage and peppers and a cherry and pecan muffin. The muffin was poofy, buttery, and delicious. However, the wrap was almost horrific. I was given what could have only been reconstituted eggs, which had congealed into tiny beads of protein. Warning lights should have gone off when I looked over at the grill and, just moments after I placed my order, a pile of homogenously yellow eggs lay heaped and popping on the surface. The eggs had either been cooked long before I got there and were being reheated in front of my very eyes, or, as I suspect, are not actually eggs at all but reconstituted egg protein. While I waited for my lunch to finish«cooking,» a woman came to complain at the counter. Her sandwich was far too salty, she said. Even her sister thought so, who apparently likes everything. The woman behind the counter unsympathetically said«we don’t put any salt in them» and was visibly annoyed someone might complain. She repeated her no-salt claims several times to the customer whom was generally being very kind, though unsatisfied. The customer was unapologetically offered a refund with apparent disdain. The bakery items are what they specialize in, and they do them decently(though not the best in town). Avoid the breakfast and lunch items – far, far better can be found very close by.

Great service and great pie. Nice to have gluten-free options in a town that doesn’t seem to have many.

I’ve used the Traverse City locations several times to cater lunches for work and they have been great, so I thought I’d give the Petoskey store a try. The girl working behind the counter was very nice, but was unsure how to answer my questions regarding food allergies(I had one person with a nut allergy in my order and was concerned about hidden ingredients). I was looking over the menu and she asked one of the line cooks to come help me since he knew the ingredients better. He proceeded to hand me a menu(identical to the one in my hand) and walked away. Frustrated, I asked to speak to a manager. The girl offered to get her and returned nearly 10 minutes later saying she was too busy to speak with me(note: there were 3 other customers in the restaurant). I took my business over to Roast and Toast where they were happy to assist me and provided a delightful meal. To the proprietors at Petoskey GT Pie — you need to train your staff better. Listen to your customers. Don’t rest on your laurels. There are plenty of great options in your town.

There are few times that you can buy chicken pot pies that are this special. I came into this restaurant thinking all they sell is pie, but never further from the truth. This place has marvelous sandwiches, salads, breakfast items, and every manner of fresh pie, all reasonably priced. Do not miss this jewel!

This is a follow up on the unpleasant experience we had at this location a few weeks ago. My complaint was followed up by the Business Social Media Manager AND the Director of Operations for Grand Traverse Pie Company. I truly appreciated them reaching out to me to rectify the situation. A company who listens to its customer AND follows up is a sign of a truly good company. Thank you so much Jim and Erin. I hope your Petoskey store franchise learns from the great example you’ve set forth. My faith has been restored in Grand Traverse Pie Company and I will continue to try your delicious pies whenever I am back in town!

Speciality coffees are not done well. Lunch Food is just ok. I love that there is a lot of space to sit and talk and work. The pies are amazing !

Delicious! This place was everything we hoped it would be! The pot pie, wraps and fiesta salad were all terrific. We had multiple desserts, mountain Betty pie, turtle brownie, pumpkin pie, and lemon pie but our favorite was the coconut pie! The only bad part is that we’re from Texas so it’ll be a long time before we get to eat here again.

A little pricey for my taste, but their pies(both dessert and main course) are SO good! The beef pot pie I had was absolute perfection. Only other complaint is that they’re cookies aren’t that great. However, it’s a pie place, not a cookie place, so what do you expect?

The strawberry rhubarb pie was incredible. It was even still warm on the bottom when I bought it. Great to have there or take away for a picnic, BBQ, etc. the only thing I would suggest is selling bags of fresh seasonal fruit as well, but I think I just really wanted to eat some fresh local cherries that day!

I was in Petoskey shopping around and wanted a cup of coffee. I was pleasantly surprised. The pie was absolutely wonderful. A must stop if in town and want a place to sit in a quiet spot and enjoy a cup of joe and tasty desert.

My favorite here is their greek salad with a bowl of their soup of the day! I would give 5 stars, but there was a time where my white chicken chili(which would have otherwise been perfect) was served luke warm. salad and soup are served with a couple of slices of bread. soft, fluffy bread. YuM! They always have a beautiful display of various different types of pies and quiches. Great place for lunch.

For a girl who generally doesn’t like pie. I love this place! I have to stop whenever I am near one in Michigan! This time around I had the Strawberry Rhubarb. The crumble on top of most(if not all) is just heaven. Their pies are sweet but not over the top. The bottom crust is not overwhelming, just a supporting cast member. All of the flavors are just scrumptious! They also have small pies, regular-size pies, cookies, and a variety of cookie bars. Just shop your day away in downtown Petoskey and then take a break and have a piece of pie. or two. :) Oh… And very clean and great customer service. They were having credit card machine issues and took it all in stride.

Go here. Eat Pie. Take a nap. Eat more pie. Drink milk. Buy a personal small pie, all for yourself. Take another nap. Ask for a fresh pie to take home to family. Eat again. Pass Out. So, all in all. Go here. Eat pie. Enjoy. Apply Pie = coma Cherry Pie = all over my face Pies come either with a crumb crust or old fashioned crust. Either way… its PIE! Delicious. Do it.
