This is a total hit or miss. The buffet is very popular but most times when you go the various dishes won’t be stocked per se or will be lacking in quality. I’ve been here for their lunch buffet 3 times and on each visit the sushi was continuously empty and also all other dishes except for the Indian cuisine. Don’t get me wrong, I love Indian food so the 1 or 2 dishes did satisfy but for some reason they seem to short change you on the buffet and make their dishes right when it starts and if it runs out they don’t restock so if you arrive later for the buffet you will be out of luck. The service staff, well they all hire only Asians so I guess it’s a cultural thing but don’t expect great customer service in terms of attentiveness or amicability… hey I get it I’m half Asian(thai and American) and married to a full Asian(Laotian) so I know how the culture is so don’t expect very good«American» customer service… a shame because this area could really use some good competition to Mr Wok and Spring Garden in the area but sad to say you will be better off with doing with those other two establishments that I mentioned which are both very nearby than this sad reincarnation of a once great Chiang Mai… owners please, listen to the reviews and focus more on customer service, this is what makes a successful restaurant

Terrible. We ordered our food via Unilocal and we were told it would be 45 – 60 minutes. Our food didn’t arrive for an hour and a half! We only live 1.6 miles away! When it got here it was bad. We ordered orange chicken and it tasted like it was coated in pure soy sauce. You couldn’t taste any hint of orange. I actually trashed mine. The egg rolls were the only decent items we ordered. My son refused to eat his food as well. So basically I paid over $ 35 for food that went in the trash. I am also extremely disappointed in Unilocal.I contacted them when our order was late and I have not received a call back yet. I won’t be using the ordering service or Asian Fusion ever again!

I always feel like I got ripped off when 95% of my meal is noodles, of any kind. I ordered the Singapore Noodles, so noodles are to be expected. But, the description indicated there would be chicken and shrimp and I was hopeful some vegetables might be included. There were only 3 small shrimp(tails still on so they required some picking), very little chicken, and a few strings of onion. Paying over $ 12 for noodles just does not work for me.

This place is a little gem. We decided to try a mix of their thai and Indian dishes and from egg roll to curry it was all excellent.

Was on tour last fall and came back around my hometown(playing The Rave). Needed a spot to take my folks and Granny for dinner(no buffet review here). I’m veg, so I’m a little picky. Chose this place and was glad I did! Had a good Thai iced tea(soy milk), veg samosas, and I think the Pad Thai with tofu. My granny got the saag paneer, and loved the cheese(she’s a total Indian n00b). They were accommodating to my veg diet. So what I’m saying is: A person who knows these types of foods well *AND* a person who was totally in the dark both liked Asian Fusion Bistro. It’s way better than a big-city guy like me expected, and I’m make sure to go back next time I’m in town.

Did not like anything on buffet. Thought I’d try the tempura chicken even that was bloody and undercooked. When I told waitress the two pieces of chicken I had were bloody she didn’t even take the other pieces off buffet. Would give no stars if I could.

Disappointment Bistro is the appropriate name. Got Kung Pow Chicken as takeout. Girl who waited on me was nice but did poor job of explaining size of order. Taste was not great, amount was small for price($ 12) with very little chicken and a couple of peanuts. I had to ask for soy sauce and utensils. Wouldn’t go back.

I have visited this establishment twice and have been very satisfied with both the quality of the food and service. My most recent visit was for Indian take out. The stand out dishes included the Bagan Bhurta(eggplant curry) and Tikka Masala. Both were flavorful and appropriately spiced. The medium was medium and the hot was hot. On my first visit a few months back, we sampled some of the Thai dishes along with the Indian cuisine. I personally though the Thai was great, but the Indian dishes were more memorable. When our sizable order took longer than expected to prepare, the kind waiter was apologetic and brought us extra naan(honey ginger… soooo good!) to snack on. Very good move! The staff has always been attentive and friendly. Maybe not as speedy as the norm, but having dined abroad I wonder if cultural issues are at play. Not all of us want to rush! I appreciate a place that allows me to dine leisurely… rather than getting a stink eye.

My in-laws love indian/thai type foods and I wanted chinese so this seemed perfect. I ordered the chicken and broccoli and it was not spectacular. There was no kids menu of any kind so I ended up having to get an adult size plate and take home the rest for my 3 year old. Also, the waiter didn’t ask us if we’d like any other drinks besides water and had an accent so thick you could hardly understand him. Overall, I wasn’t overly impressed with my dish or anyone else’s dishes that I tasted. Tables were also really close together. Wouldn’t go here again if I had a choice.

Delivery took 2 hours for 3 entrees. Food finally arrives and it’s flavorless. My tikka masala was yellow… Never ordering again.

I agree with the other reviewers. The buffet was mostly Indian and Thai. My son wanted Chinese, but he was game, and fell in love with the Pad Thai. The food was just ok, not a fan of buffets but the menu seemed quite expensive for lunch so we went for it. A fair option but go elsewhere if you’re looking for Chinese or Japanese food.

One of my supervisors asked what I was doing for lunch and of course, I had not planned ahead so I asked where she wanted to go. Originally we were influenced by the Chinese that someone else in the office had brought for lunch, but then she remembered that the people who owned Chiang Mai Thai had an Asian fusion restaurant. So we decided to head that way. The place certainly looks nice and is much smaller than Chiang Mai Thai was, however, the menu is huge. They do have a lunch buffet for $ 10 and it is mostly Indian and Thai food. They claim that they serve Chinese, Thai, Indian, and Japanese food… however, if you are looking for an Indian restaurant, this might be it. The majority of the menu is Indian cuisine, followed by Thai, followed by Japanese, and well… if you are looking for a Chinese restaurant, this is not it. The waiter was quick to bring us water and told us that there was no sushi for lunch as the chef was not there. My supervisor had already decided she was having the buffet. I decided after looking through the menu, I would take a peek at the buffet and then make a decision. I decided I was going to try the buffet. However, I was worried that everything was going to be a spicy curry… remember, I’m the kid who had the horrific curry experience when I was little. On one side was the Indian food with a couple of chicken dishes, naan, an eggplant dish(sorry I don’t know the names, some had signs and others didn’t), and something that looked like a patty, but not entirely sure what was in it. There was a Thai soup and then on the other side with the Thai food was some of the chutneys and sauces for the Indian dishes. There was steamed white rice, fried rice, a Thai curry, spicy pork, a noodle dish, and Ginger Chicken. They were not joking when they said that the spicy pork was spicy. Wow! And the thing is, our waiter only filled up our water once… and they are small glasses… eek. The Ginger Chicken was ok, and the noodles would have been better if they had flavour. To be honest, I was not very impressed with the Thai side. The Indian side however… I was pleasantly surprised. I tried both of the chicken dishes that had sauces and really like the one with greens in it(spinach maybe?). And the naan dipped in the Tamarind Chutney was absolutely delicious! The waiter came back and asked if we wanted our check split or not. When he brought it back to us, he apologized for the wait and said, «We are understaffed today. I am the only one here.» I don’t think it affected us too much besides the refill of water, but I’m not sure that he needed to tell us. It is an ok place… I wouldn’t say it is my favourite place, but I wouldn’t mind eating here again.

As others have stated, the food here is quite good, but I have never experienced such consistently poor service. Dine-in is somewhat better than pick-up, which is absolutely horrible. I routinely find myself waiting 15 – 30 minutes past the time they told me to come pick up my food as I watch a staff that wanders around showing an absolute disinterest in serving anyone there. Oh, and the lunch buffet — just awful. Meat based dishes are — at best — about 10% meat and the rest vegetables. And the flavor is so bland it it will make you forget how good the menu-based items can taste(if they ever get them to you). I gave this place 4 chances because I really wanted to see a restaurant like this succeed in my neighborhood, but I’ve learned my lesson. I will never eat there again.

I’ve given this place 3 tries and that’s about it. I’ve never eaten in the dining room, only carried out. Incredibly slow to get food prepared. My last carry-out order took 1 hour and 15 minutes for 3 entrees. There was only 1 table seated and little ol’ me… Thai dishes tried so far: 2. Neither were acceptable. Salty, no flavor other than salty. Japanese dishes tried: 2. How do you mess up udon? By using singapore noodles instead of udon noodles. Final try with the the Indian food and salty and lacked flavor that tikka masala should have.

I drove by the place a million times and LOVE sushi. so after running quite a few errands after work I was STARVING! I thought it would be fun to try their Pud Thai and a crunchy spicy tuna roll. I tried calling the number a couple times, but nobody answered so I was forced to order online. I found the online ordering fairly painless, ran a few more errands(gave them 25 mins) then went in to pick-up. There were about 4 – 5 tables of customers… and I told them I was there for a pick-up order. A guy(who I think was the manager) said«It will just be a few mins»… so I waited patiently and caught up on some work e-mails from my phone. 20 mins later, I was a little irritated, «Hangry» perhaps, but just said«I ordered on-line 45 – 50 mins ago… any idea how much longer it will take?» He ran back, took a few mins, and then brought out my order. When I got home, I was disappointed to find that the spicy crunchy tuna roll was not only missing the«crunchy» flakes, but also had NO spicy sauce as the description was written, especially for $ 8.95!!!(Nor were their chop sticks, or the low sodium soy sauce I requested) The Pud Thai was okay, good portion, but a little too sweet.(Good for portion control I guess– I couldn’t eat too much of it.) Needless to say… as the store manager of a multi-million dollar business, I understand the importance of return guests/customers for business growth. I will NOT be returning, nor recommending this to any of my friends/family. It was disappointing because I really like to support small business and was excited for a new restaurant in my area. :(Hopefully they read enough of these reviews, turn it around, and succeed.

Food deserves a 5, but the service a 1.5. I will update the rating if the service improves. There’s this girl server there and I think she thinks she’s too good to take away empty plates. Yes, you should bring water, take other people’s orders, and ask if others need water… but if you have free hands and is going back to the kitchen to get the order in anyway, please take the stack of 5 plates and soup bowls sitting at the edge of my table! She came and went at least 4 times, saw the plates and completely ignored them. A different, Asian, server came by and cleared those plates for us. The next time we had a stack of about 2 – 3 plates, and the manager/owner guy saw it and took them — AFTER the too-food-for-it server ignored them 2 more times. I wasn’t sure whether she was hired only to take orders, bring water and food but not clear away the table… or whether the manager/owner was just VERy lenient. Oh, and she also took us to the table, sat us down, did NOT take drink orders, and did NOT brink back utensils for half our party. Especially looking at other reviews here, I’d think the owner/manager would have caught on about this horrible server, as she is bringing down the rating to this otherwise awesome place, but I guess not… On to the food. We had the buffet — obviously. It was mostly Indian, which was great. Green curry was a little too watery, but very tasty. I prefer my curry thick. There was also this goat dish. Yummm! I don’t often get to see goat dishes, but this one was great and the meat didn’t smell. I usually have trouble with badly cooked goat or lamb because they smell. The other assortment of bean/tofu dishes were all good. The Naan was just OK though. I’ve had better. Oh, and one time I had really good rice, and the other time, the rice was too dry. I’m not sure if it’s a hit or miss or whether the chef just had a bad day one day. The only Japanese option on the buffet were two types of rolls, which were very good for a buffet. I prefer this to having 8 options of bad rolls. The thai option… not too good. Pud Thai was all noodles sticking together, and too sweet. The Singapore noodles(I guess that’s not Thai…) was not cooked all the way or just left out too long it got dry. By the way, we were there right at lunch time and food was moving fast. But both the Pud Thai and Singapore Noodles needed to be made in smaller quantities more often. Or something. Oh, I’ve had the Singapore Noodles to go on a different day, and they were much much better than the ones at the buffet. The chef must make them differently for buffet. Again, all in all, food 5. Service? spotty.

I love Indian food. I love Thai food. So I was psyched to see Asian Fusion open right in the heart of the area we do our business. First, I got some carryout. I was told some of the items I watned were not available because the Thai chef was not in. Then they called me back and said I could get the item because actually, it was Indian. Strike one for not knowing the menu. The food itself was acceptable, nothing more. I have had vindaloo that was much better. the portion was very small as well for the price. Yesterday, my mom was in town, and I wanted to get her some Indian food. The interior of the place is very nice, so I took her ot Asian Fusion. It was a comedy of errors. Her entre came out before our appetizers. The waiter spilled my curry all over the table and then never even bothered to clean it up. He kept on dropping things left and right. The samosa was pretty good, as was the coconut shrimp. But the curry was middling at best. I ordered red curry, but I don’t think it was red currty. It looked yellow. And of course a bunch of it was on the table and on my jacket due to the poor gross motor skills of the waiter. On the whole, this was a one and done experience for me. A restaurant like this would probably be better served to be either Indian or Thai … they seem to lack the processes and systems to do both. And their wait staff … time to upgrade. Took my mom someplace really nice tonight to make up for the previous evening.

The service is terrible, but the food is excellent. It takes like 15+ minutes to get your order taken, but I think it’s worth the wait. Their Thai curry is excellent – not too watery, crisp vegetables – the Indian food is fantastic(all the right spice combinations), and their sushi is colorful, attractively arranged, and delicious. The portions are generous as well. It takes forever to get the bill, but again, I don’t much care because the food is totally worth it.

I will start by telling you that I arrived at the end of their scheduled time for the lunch buffet. They apologized that the food items were almost gone and asked me if there was something specific I would like them to make and replenish. That was very thoughtful of them, but it wasn’t their fault I got there late. It was an unplanned visit. I just happened to be in the area and thought I’d try them out. I only had time for a quick lunch so I didn’t want to wait for them to prepare something fresh for me. They advertise a fusion of Japanese, Indian and Thai cuisine. That’s pretty ambitious. I looked at the menu and they don’t cheat you with one or two items of each cuisine. There are soup & salad, appetizer and entrée sections for each. However, the Indian portion of the menu is significantly larger than the other two, which surprised me. My server told me they are also working on bringing in a Chinese chef to add that cuisine to the menu too. «So you have a chef for each cuisine you serve here?», I asked. He said«yes.» I was again surprised and impressed. The buffet on my visit featured pieces of two or three different sushi rolls. Since I knew they’d been sitting a while, I took a pass on them and didn’t worry about what kind of rolls they were. There were also Thai items such as a Tom Kha soup, veggie pad thai, lemon chicken, and yellow curry chicken. I felt comfortable giving these a try, and all had great flavor. Another section featured Indian items such as Tandoori chicken, veggie samosas and various vegetarian dishes. Again, everything I tried in this section tasted pretty good. So, while I was torn between giving 3 and 4 stars due to the food not being fresh and the buffet being low on supplies, I really did like everything I tasted and I’m pretty confident that, had I arrived at 1:00 instead of 2:00, there would have been a well-stocked buffet with fresh food, so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. Add the thoughtfulness of the staff acknowledging the situation and offering to help improve my dining experience by preparing fresh items, and the 4 stars becomes a lock. I think it’s risky to produce quality food representing three, and soon four, countries on one menu but so far they seem up to the challenge. I plan to visit again.

Here is my experience in chronological order. Arrival 1:25 pm, no line of people. Almost seated ourselves around 1:30 after being ignored by staff Was greeted and had water poured 19 minutes later. — Waiter came to take order but forgot his pen. Watched the waiter bus tables and talk for another 8 minutes while we are still waiting to give our order. Waiter took the order, but got a bit confused when someone at the table expressed an allergy to dairy and was specific that the dish not contain any butter, milk, cheese. Waiter came back and said the Chef yelled at him for placing an order with restrictions… UMMM that should not be an issue. ***HIGHLIGHTOFTHEVISIT*** We go to hear a thrilling story of when the waiter was in JAIL and someone bit into a hot dog and found a screw! Completely fulfilling the stereotype I already assigned to him, that made my day. Water refills? Better make sure to raise your hand and ask. The coconut rice dish had fried lentils, but were not cooked first. A fried uncooked lentil is more dense that paving gravel. –That dish went back The Tandoori Chicken and garlic naan where excellent. After we paid our bill, it dawned on us that the waiter actually never even took our drink order.
