Goff’s Auto Body

Goff’s was chosen by my insurance company to fix some body damage I had done to my car by running over a curb at the bank. Progressive handled the entire transaction so I can’t speak to their service or location specifics. I was happy to hear Goff’s would be doing the repair since I grew up in the Lake County area and saw their ads off of the highway ever since I can remember.
As far as the repair goes, it took about a week and from what I could tell, you would never have known there was any damage prior. They matched the paint up well and really did a great job.
There was a ½″ wheel well trim piece that was not secured properly to the quarter panel but I didn’t notice it until after I had left (and Progressive and the auto body shop didn’t either) and it wasn’t worth the hassle to go back.
Lastly, and the reason I am giving them one less star, is that my car interior was dirtier when I picked it up then when I dropped it off. Now this could be from the Progressive Service Center but I doubt it. At least Progressive should have noticed how dirty the car was and someone should have cleaned it better. I had just cleaned my car pretty well about a week before I brought it in and there were smudges of something on my black leatherette seats. Almost like a cement color. You could tell someone tried to «clean» the surfaces of the dash, steering wheel, etc. but there was almost a dirty film on everything. And it smelled weird. But this could be from Progressive as well.
But aside from the interior the repair was done very well and I would recommend them for anyone looking to get body work done.

I would have given it 5 stars but the price is what prevented me from doing that.
That being said. My car was vandalized with a hammer. Progressive Insurance brought my car here for the work. I wanted extra painting done since progressive was only going to cover the hood and 4 doors.
To paint the trunk, 2 rear fenders and 1 front fender cost me $ 951.15. Which is way too much for painting.
But my car looks beautiful! They did a really, really good job, especially since my car is black and black is the hardest color to paint.
I would definately use them again, but I would price out competitors in order to get the price match that Goff’s Auto Body guarantees.
