This school is a lot smaller than others like Arrowhead. The campus contains all grade levels separated into buildings with an elementary school for K-3, a «horizon» school for 4 — 6(built only about like 10 years ago now), a middle school for 7 – 8 graders and a high school for 9 – 12 grades. I grew up here although moved away my 8th grade year and it was nice being able to go from 1 grade/school level to the next while still being in a familiar setting. Because of its small size, it seems like students are more friendly since everyone is at least acquaintances with everyone else in their grade. The highschool in Cali I went to was gigantic, and there was far more trouble as well so I think smaller schools are generally better in this way. The teachers are great here. I’m not sure if it is a midwest thing or not, but other areas of the country I’ve went to school in were about ½ of a grade level behind where I was at here, and I wasn’t in advanced classes or anything. There are a few that will make you wish you didn’t have their class, but that’s true of any school. Overall, I would recommend this school over others in the area.
