This is my grocery store of choice. It has all the basic items that i purchase. It is centrally located.

This HEB has grocery bags, since it isn’t in Austin. What it doesn’t have is everything on your shopping list. They are ALWAYS out of stock on quite a few items. Usually staples too, unfortunately. I have found them out of all half and half and out of whole milk ½ gallons in the store name brand for example. Unfortunately, it’s the norm more than the exception. Often the dates need to be watched on items you purchase too. I have found that half the time the bagged salads have brown edges, even though they’re usually technically in date. So just watch what you buy here.

I drive a few extra miles just to AVOID this HEB. They have very limited produce, the location is always dirty and I’ve never met a friendly face here. Parking lot is nasty and there always seem to be the most shady looking people when I visit, day or night. This is the only thing I dislike about this part of town.

Very incompetent management here! Baggers on express lines, customers bagging on others, checkers having to leave register to fetch cigarettes, what happen to self-​service lines? Slow employees should have more training! HEB should NOT be selling tobacco products! They sell meds to treat tobacco illnesses! The dollar comes first to them! Sure do miss Albertson’s, HEB monopoly very bad for clients!

I was shocked at the Informality of the RX Associate today who said her name was «Destiny”-she ignored me-​didnt say a word to me– presumed my name and what i was there for without telling me-​then types on the computer while i stand there speechless not knowing whats going on. and all of a sudden she casually and sarcastically retorts «So you here for the (prescription drug name)»?1 She doesnt say my name-​last; first or other and talks to me like i m her BFF!!! What the hell happend to customer service; treating customers professionally and calling them by their last name or «sir».BAD Customer Service HEB-​your RX manager needs to have a talk w this girl and remind her when shes behind the counter and we are on the other side-​we are your Customers and you should speak and behave accordingly-​don t leave us hanging there with no introduction; greeting or at least confirming our last name.(or at least –How are you sir? How may I help you?) RX MGR needs to talk to this girl and expain/​remind her of the difference between talking to your fellow associates; and talking to a customer… and remind her what proper Customer Service sounds and looks like… I was Very Disappointed and almost borderline shock as no CSR in any capacity has ever talked like that to me.

This is my HEB since its closest to my house, never has a bad experience here, but from what other have said, this place is not what it they make it seem. Yes, its an older store, but ghetto, I don’t think so. HEB never claimed to cater to organic, non-​gmo, health food store, they have some items, but if thats what you wanted, you should have gone to Whole Foods and spend 5 times the amount.

I hate this location. They’re ALWAYS out of things and totally suck as far as healthy or organic eating goes. Every trip there is a disappointment. Something is always wrong or missing.
It’s a shame because it’s so close to where I live but now I end up going elsewhere.

The worst HEB I have ever walked into. Rotten produce. Unstocked shelves. Aggressive pan handlers in the parking lot. Stopped in because I saw it on my way home from work. Will never do that again. Had to pick up 5 things and left without 2 of them. A third item … I hope it doesn’t rot before tomorrow night. It’s already on the cusp. HEB Upper Management needs to check this store.

Definitely the worst, dirtiest & most rundown HEB I’ve ever been to… but it’s close to home.

We moved into the neighborhood behind this heb about 18 months ago, we were excited to be close to a heb/​grocery store in general but that initial excitement quickly died after our first few visits. This place is run down, dirty, disheveled, and always crowded. I’ve never been in an heb that’s so disappointing, we’ve started trying to avoid it like the plague. I’ve also stopped going for «quick trips» — there is nothing quick about this location, in fact, I’ve never been in this heb and not waited in a long line. Even worse I think the employees get annoyed with the crowded store and in return take it out on customers, anytime I’ve asked for items or help I feel like I’m putting someone out or interrupting something life threatening. I thought maybe I was alone on this, because I know I can have high standards, but over time I’ve heard neighbors and co-​workers refer to it as the «dirty heb», «the old heb», and worse. So sadly I figured out it wasn’t just me, but just a location setting the bar low.

I hate to have to write a bad review about H-​E-​B because this isn’t your average H-​E-​B. It’s really ghetto and I didn’t feel safe shopping here. Parking is a pain and two since it is in the Austin City limits they don’t offer plastic bags. I felt like I was entering a flea market when I walk into the store. Definitely tell this H-​E-​B catered to the local surrounding neighborhood. I really hope that H-​E-​B fixes this store to reflect the rest of the stores in Austin area.

I really, really hate this HEB. It almost hurts my heart to say that because I am a AVID HEB shopper. Always have been!
You can definitely tell that each grocery store caters to their max demographic. AND, there is absolutely no problem with that, but this store does NOT cater to the Organic or Clean eater. I was hella disappointed last night to see that not ONE item that I traditionally buy from HEB Greenlawn, or even sometimes at HEB Red Bud was available in Organic. WTF is that? BUT, if you want shit laden, GMO laden, fat fried and fat filled garbage, then «this IS your HEB».
I don’t care how old, or small, or dingy a store is. If they carry my goods, then I could care less about the condition of the store. Even without having a selection of Organics, they were very under stocked. Maybe that’s because it was like 10pm on a Sunday, but IMO its poor managing to have absolutely NOTHING of multiple items.
AND, even though its «in» Pflugerville, it is still considered the City of Austin so they do NOT have bags. Be prepared. They do have their big plastic bags for sale for .25, and they’re really useful, but make sure you bring your bags.

Small, Clean and friendly… Been a few years since we have been here, hasn’t changed much. I like it.

This is the location closest to my house, so whenever I need to run to the store really quick to grab some milk/​sugar/​bread, this is where I go.
It’s a bit more run down than some of the other locations, but it’s decent. When I have to do a lot of grocery shopping, I prefer going to the location at Tech Ridge or 620. For the quick shopping, though, this place will do.
Parking here is horrendous at rush hour in the evenings, and on the weekends, so plan on parking in the back of the lot, or down by Subway, cuz you’re not going to get much closer.

I like this store and it is nice. I like it because you can go and pickup food in that area.

This store is a bit ghetto but it is what it is. It just needs a make over and they are trying.
The gas station is awesome and so is the carwash.

I dread it when this is the closest grocery store on my way home. It is ghetto/​dirty looking from the outside and entry way.
Last time I was there they had fertilizer on sale on a pallet right next to the produce section. Nothing like smelling cow patty while trying to shop for food.
The parking lot can be a Zoo at peak times during evenings and weekends.
The more I think about it, the more I just want to drive further to the HEB on Pecan at 685. That HEB is cleaner and has a better ‘vibe’.
I feel sorry for anyone that this is the closest grocery store to them. I wish HEB didn’t have a monopoly in the area and we had more choices.

If I’m in a hurry and need to stop at the grocery store to pick something up, I inevitably end up here. This is not where I typically do my heavy duty shopping. I always forget what an awful selection they have here. I recently went in looking for fresh mozzarella in water, which I personally don’t think is THAT weird of an ingredient, and they did not have it. According to the deli, they had just pulled that item recently.
I get it. The demand for high end ingredients is not high at this story — you cater to what the main customers purchase. But that is why I visit the HEB on Parmer and 35.
On the up side, their clearance rack is amazing. I find organic, high end ingredients there regularly for pennies. I guess, nice food being discontinued from their shelves ends up being a good thing for me. Sometimes. Unless I need some real parmesan cheese.
The managers at this store are wonderful though. They always give my son a couple extra budd-​e bucks and sometimes a little toy. They are always very friendly and helpful.

If you want to get a henna tattoo or get your eyebrows tweezed… you can do that here, right across from where you pick up your grocery cart… aka outside.
This HEB has gotten pretty ghetto over the years… so much so that one time some hoe tried to pick a fight with me. I won’t go into details…
However, they are trying to amp it up here. They just put in a drive-​thru pharmacy, added a car wash to go with their gas station.
Still, I can’t get over the little ghetto shop out where you get your shopping cart right, before you actually go inside. That exceeds ghetto fabulous. Who goes grocery shopping and gets henna/​eyebrows tweezed all in the same building?

Not sure how I always end up reviewing stuff like HEB and Wal-​mart. Guess my life isn’t as exciting as it ought to be.
Anyway, when I moved to the Wells Branch area I thought — hey, here’s an HEB. Who would of thought?
I think my tastes are changing though. Or maybe the grocery stores are becoming awful-​er and awful-​er (it’s a word). But I find myself going to Randall’s more and more and you know — I’m enjoying it. The prices aren’t even that bad with their discount card.
But back to here. This place is filthy more often than not. I can never find *shredded* (not powder-​ized or blocky) parmesan. You can’t make a good salad without shredded parmesan and I am *not* rich enough to buy parmesan blocks. Last time I bought lunch ham and there was a hole in the package and my meat was partially greenish-​white and they gave me crap about taking it back.
I do love those cane sugar «Dr. HEBs» or whatever they call it. But I shouldn’t be drinking those.
