Mr Pfranks has the BEST dogs in the metro! Atmosphere is awesome it reminds me of a back in the day hot dog stand that I begged my dad to take me to as a kid. The staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. I could not recommend this restaurant any higher! Make the short drive to downtown Pflugerville and bite the best dog in town

Great family owned restaurant in downtown Pflugerville! The portions are huge and food quality is excellent, so the $ 5 cost is well worth it. The folks that run Mr. Pfranks are exceptionally friendly and make you feel at home. I won’t get a hot dog anywhere else if I can help it!

I just tried them for lunch since it’s close to where I drop my mom off for her hair appointments. The lady who took my order was very good at explaining how everything works and was very helpful. When I was leaving a man told me thank you for coming too. What’s that? People that want my business? Hmmm, I couldn’t wait to get home to try that hotdog then. I mean I wanted to like it so bad, just because they were nice, which is sometimes a tall order when carrying out or dining in for that matter. So anyway… It’s by no means is fancy or gourmet, but for a good hotdog, anyway you want it, I recommend giving them a shot. For the price and convenience, who wouldn’t want a good hotdog, some chips and an ice cold can of Dr. Pepper for $ 6.50? I got a hotdog with chili, cheese and a few onions. I added some brown mustard and some dill relish. By the time I got home, I was worried it would be too mushy, but it wasn’t. It was quite impressive. The chili wasn’t overbearing, but it had just a little bit of something to let me know it was chili. I liked that it was still enough to it that I didn’t have to use a fork(weird goal, huh?). I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of my dog because I was hungry and it was good. I’ll try again next time, because there will be a next time. I’ll be back when I’m craving a good hotdog for a fair price.

They make good dogs, which is exactly what they intend. Everyone has been incredibly friendly when I’ve been there and service is top notch. You can even get a gluten-free option if you forgo the bun.

We are fans! The place is new, a little ram-shackled, but it does the job. The food is simple, junky, and delicious, if not napalm for your bum – no joke. The couple that run it are adorable, the product is good, and I hope they last a long time to satiate our hot dog fix whenever it arises!

This place is great. The owner is so friendly. He told us he was called to serve hot dogs and it shows. Get the jalapeño relish.

I came in and got 8 dawgs about 6 different ways for friends in South Austin. Also included hips, canned drinks and ordered me a mr. Pfranks shit(size fat now) as I have become a real fan. The people there AND customers are some of the friendliest you will ever meet in a dawg joint. I had to order a dawg for me to eat while the others were being. Prepared. Outstanding! All were devoured by the folks in South Austin with demands for more. Looks like another run on the 18th!

I really enjoy my many visits to Mr. PFranks. Notice I said many! I even have my kids addicted to this awesome hotdog place. They love it so much they would rather have a Mr. PFranks hot dog then one made at home. It has been six months since I originally rated this when Mr. PFranks first opened. By far my first impression was awesome and they have carried that impression on by expanding it with joy, smiles, caring, being friendly, and kid happy zone. Supporting local events in the area with catering and making sure when you’re at a local event that you have the best fulfilled hot dog enjoyment for food. If you walk into this place a lot to eat, you tend to become part of the Mr. PFranks family. You meet people, gathering around talking about anything that is important to the individual speaking. I have never been to a business with this kind of atmosphere other than a barbershop. To have that kind of experience in a restaurant is cool. Whether they intended it to be that way or not. It is a veteran owned small business and being a veteran myself I am proud to see a fellow veteran being successful and enjoying what they do to continue serve by serving the community with great food and most of all customer service. By all means you will have a great time here while you eat and you will get the most for your money compared to franchise places in the area.

Took my Mom in today for a dog. Wonderful experience, all the way around. Greg is the nicest guy… really salt of the earth kind of guy… and the dogs… oh, man. SOGOOD. Mom enjoyed it so much… great to see a smile on her face as she tore into her half kraut, half chili cheese dog with onions over all. This place aims to please. So cute, inside and outside. When you get a craving for an awesome hot dog, go see Mr. Pfrank! Yum!

Not bad. Owner is friendly. The food is okay. My only advise is this: Find a way to make your chili in house. The brand you use is tasty, but I believe your product would be much better if you found your own taste in chili because there is no substitute for that«secret blend» because seriously people eat that stuff up no pun intended sort of. Also, the buns were a little dry. Perhaps if you invested in a hot dog steamer, your hot dogs would be a little better. I used to work at Sonic when I was a teenager where we steamed every hotdog which makes a huge difference. You have a good product, and you will do well if you continue to stay in business. Just look for efficient ways to improve you product, and you will go far.

When you want a hot dog, you want a hot dog… Not a sausage on a bun, but a hot dog! Mr. Pfranks gets that! A big, delicious kosher beef hot dog with all the toppings you like(and I like em all!) for $ 5. Now that’s happiness. The food is all top notch. The hours are great and the owners are enthusiastic, caring, sweet individuals who are a pleasure to talk to. What more could you want? So when you want a delicious hot dog, go get a HOTDOG(at Mr. Pfranks)!

What a great place for a good old fashioned hot dog that you can load up with the works. Sauerkraut Onions Jalapeños Chili Cheese Huge pickles! Great selection of chips to pair, even GOLDFISH. Like 15 different types of sodas. Best of all, the had an array of delicious condiments. Including HOT sauce. And they’re not messing around they have the good stuff from Georgetown, mike v’s which was amazingly tasty. Small place, but ample seating inside and out. Lots of parking. The owners Were very sweet and very accommodating. We will be back frequently for some dogs for sure. Oh they have nachos and Fritos pie tooooo!!! YUMMMMMMMM Yum YUMMMMM

Hey Mr. Pfranks, you got it going on… another cute little shop in downtown P-ville. The owners are very nice and provide excellent customer service, we went for lunch and they had some sweet relish with jalapeño that was home made that was yummy. The dogs themselves are pretty good quality and I believe they get their bun from Lil Mama’s corner bakery as they were very good. The toppings are simple, nothing too crazy for now but sometimes simple is good. All toppings are free and the base price might seem steep at $ 5, but they are starting off and a small company so they are trying to keep the prices reasonable and still stay open. I opted for the kraut and relish and chowed down. We took advantage of their combo #2 for 2 dogs, 2 drinks and 2 chips for $ 12 which is a very cheap lunch for 2 personas! We don’t have enough non-chain restaurants here in town so I think we should try to be supportive and keep these guys around a bit longer.

Hot Dogs! Had a opportunity to stop here the other night to order hot dogs. I ordered the chili, cheese, onion and added mustard to my hot dog. I got a canned drink and ate a grape ice bar. This was a great hot dog, other reviews give more detail so I don’t need to do that. So if you want a good hot dog for $ 5 this is the place. Will I go back, Yes many times. Recommend they look at a drive thru sometime in the future.

Okay… so, it looks like I am going to be ‘that guy’ that just doesn’t see the hoopla and give a middle of the road review. Are the hot dogs good? Well… sure. Are the owners nice? Yeah. Is the flat pricing and free toppings a good perk? Of course. So…what’s my problem? I guess I just don’t see the point of dropping $ 5 on a plain hot dog and nondescript bun. I can easily go buy the same ingredients myself and have the same basic experience on my own for a fraction of the price. There is nothing wrong with wanting a good hot dog or a place that provides them for you, but if I take the effort to go out for a $ 5 hot dog, I expect more than just basic. Now… I’m a total supporter of simplicity and keeping it basic, but there needs to be something that makes a place stand out. Scratch condiments Scratch buns Unique toppings Signature scratch sides Something…anything to rise above the rest… I can make a trip to Sam’s and pick up all the same items and have the same hot dog at home, so I doubt I’ll make a habit of returning.

If you love a good wiener as much as I do then you’ll make the trek to Pflugerville and check out this new hot dog place. They’re serving up one delicious 8″ juicy Hebrew National for one flat fee of $ 5 tax included. They have your typical condiments(mustard for me please!), 3 Tabasco’s, Frank’s Red Hot sauce, relish, and, you get five optional(besides plain) dressings: kraut; chili(stagg brand); jalapenos; onions; and, cheese sauce. You can mix and match all these toppings on one dog, and, it’s still just $ 5! Buns are fresh or steamed. They boil the wieners, then keep them warm in the steamer in the school bus with the buns and 5 offerings of toppings. You order your wiener and Gregg(owner) puts it all together for you. You add your own condiments and check out at the register with his lovely wife. They offer small bags of chips and canned pops and bottled waters all for a buck each. The process is simple and it works quite well. They are giving love to the hot dog and you can taste the quality. They get their wieners from Sam’s club. I ordered my all time favorite onion dog and got a bag of Frito’s with a small bottle of water. I added yellow mustard to my dog and chomped down on that first bite. The dog was juicy and delicious and had me saying, «Now that’s a wiener!». I finished my dog and went back in for a second. This time Gregg talked me into trying something different, so I went for the kraut with onions and mustard. Eating two of these dogs was a challenge, but, I liked them so much I couldn’t resist! The place is small with limited seating. They have some outdoor seating that features two picnic tables and like three two tops. Dogs(the kind that wag their tails and bark) are welcome outside. One thing that I would recommend for these guys is to put up a ledge where people can stand and eat their dogs. Gregg and his wife are super friendly and I’m glad I found them. I’m always looking out for a good wiener and they got it going on here! Welcome to Pflugerville y’all! NOTE: Cash is the wanted currency here. CC transactions under $ 20 are charged $ 1. Gluten free AUTHOR’s EDIT: Greg and Noreen no longer charge a CC fee. I went in today and stepped out of my onion and mustard dawg comfort zone and tried their most popular seller. The Pfluger Dawg. Chili, cheese & onion. I added mustard. Gotta have my mustard. It is the crack of my life. I was impressed with this dawg. The chili was delicious and had no greasy heartburn gonna belch it up all day taste. Coupled with the liquid cheese, onions and mustard, I can see why it is their most popular seller. I can’t believe I liked this dawg. Seriously. I’m one boring dude when it comes to hot dogs. Perfectly happy with mustard and onions, but, Gregg made me a fan of the Pfluger Dawg today. I look forward to my next one!

I decided to try uncle pfranks today since I am in the area almost daily and anything new is worth a try. when I walked in the owner and his family were very welcoming and I obviously knew what they sold there, so I ordered a hotdog with everything on it and I mean everything like sauerkraut, chilli, nacho cheese, jalapenos and onions and then I added some brown mustard with a Pepsi in a can for $ 6. That’s a great deal no matter how you slice it. overall I think this place has some great potential, its a cash only business so don’t bring your card there. Overall great food and looking forward to many more.
