Big Daddys Burgers

Ordered a Lil Daddy’s Burger with Cheddar Cheese, chili cheese fries and a lemonade. My tab was $ 18.11 Burger wasn’t even good. The meat tasted old. Never again and will tell EVERYONE how overpriced this place was. Could have had a 12 oz Ribeye, baked potato and salad for about a $ 1 more at Texas Roadhouse. Last time I was there was in 2010… had forgotten why we never went back… they just made me remember.

Decided to venture out for lunch and try something different… this place is not bad… not great either… this Big Daddy gives this place a 6 from a 1 to 10… service was very good and the server was very attentive (I rather eat where the service is great and the food is average than the other way around) but the burger was average at best… Whataburger is still my place to go for a burger… this place will be filed under «I went there because it was convenient since it was on the way» category… :-)

Big burgers for a good price. We tried the Mexican burger & the Fritopie burger. Both were really good. The place may not be on the regular food path but its worth the trip. We will come again.

Saw it on Unilocal and decided to try it, burgers were great, but a little over priced! For 3 regular cheeseburger’s (no fries) 1 grilled cheese w/​fries, and and order of 10 wings (no fries) 1 family basket of fries, and 5 drinks … $ 66.00!!! 1^st and last time lol

The burgers were delicious and the fries arrived hot. The service there was nice and the facility was very clean. The Mexican burger was awesome!

Tried the mexi-​can burger. Tasted pretty good but was not worth $ 10+. The onion rings were lightly battered and seemed almost soggy when biting into them. The homemade lemonade needs some work. All in all, I would not willingly come back

Reminds me of a hole in the wall burger joint! Nothing better than that! They serve u chips and salsa that is very good. And for those of you looking for great southern sweet tea this is definitely the place. It has just the right amount of sweetness. Oh and the menu is focused to burgers like it should be and they are amazing! Everyone should try and make there way here. You won’t regret it!

Not bad. It was recommended from a local. Burgers are big and they supposedly grind them in house.
My two «beefs»;
1. Too much fat in the meat. I know I shouldn’t expect ⁹³⁄₃ meat, but I chewed on a little too much fat for my preference.
2. They will not cook the beef to order. I prefer mine medium rare. Management will not allow beef cooked anything but well.
I would prolly come back as it is convenient.
The service was pretty good as well. Our waitress checked on us quite a few times, which I found to be excellent customer service.

Tried this place today while visiting some friends in McAllen. Going to give them 2 stars because our server was good at the beginning then somehow service started going downhill. So let’s talk about the burgers. umm they were okay. Meat had decent flavor but anything with loads of cheese, mushrooms, avocado, etc. will be good. I had the mushroom swish and my husband had the Mexican burger, and order of fries, and 2 drinks. $ 30 for that? I was shocked! The burgers were okay not fantastic enough to pay almost $ 10 a pop! (menu doesn’t have the prices for the burgers) However, that’s not the part that annoyed me the most… it was that it too forever to get our order, maybe 45+ minutes. There weren’t any customers there… except for right after we placed our order about 15 Border Patrol Officers came in. Well you guessed it… they got their order before us! Who knows if they may have ordered them before however our server didn’t even notify us if that was the case. Anywho, I rarely eat out but next time if so feel like eating a burger I’ll stick to Whataburger!

Burgers were huge in size but not in flavor. Fries were pretty good — be sure to take some TUMS with you!

A simple tasty burger in a nice mom and pop place.
The burgers are huge, really. The prices are good for the amount of food you get, a single order of fries can easily be shared with another. I ordered the Junior with cheese and it was pretty tasty. Eons better than Smashburger and lately Whataburger, but it isn’t Walbanger’s (easily my favorite burger).
Bottom Line: It’s definitely worth the price, but unless you’re nearby, not the drive.

Massive Burgers! I had the Mushroom-​Swiss Burger and the mushrooms were really tasty. The beef was a little dry, but can be remedied by asking for it medium next time.
My brother had the BBQ Burger and he got more than a handful. It had so much bacon that he gave some to both me, and my other brother. Insane!
The fries are of the frozen/​seasoned variety, and an order is enough for two. I’ll be coming back to Big Daddy’s Burger for sure.
