This place is OK. I travel for work and get to taste some good brews, this place is for sure on the bottom of the barrel!

Well, I am a little disappointed I came out of my way to come here. I LOVE trying new craft beer and stopped here on a road trip. Upon entering, I asked for a flight of their beers. I got a response«we don’t have flights, and none of our beers are on tap» I said«…ok?.» with confused disappointment. The guest beers that they do have on tap are way more than the other town brewery around the corner. If you wanted beer from a small brewery, do not come here.

Laid back atmosphere, nice folks, and it’s not in Columbus! Very cool place –they don’t serve food but that’s okay because there is a food truck outside that has super delicious greasy burgers and tots. My husband and I like to come here Fridays after work.

Comfortable place to drink a beer. No frills– food truck outside. I liked that they had an 8oz option size — got to taste more than one without over doing it. I’d go back!

This really shouldn’t be labeled a gastropub as they don’t serve any food. It’s really just a bar. They had none of their own beers on tap either. While I was impressed by some of the CO beers they had on tap, it was mostly IPAs, 2 darker options and a German Hefeweizen. They were good beers at least. I personally wasn’t a fan of the smoke smell inside either.

Great place to have a beer. They have so many it’s hard to stick to just one… wish they had more seating inside, perhaps love seats or couches. Snacks or some appetizers would be awesome. The bartender is very cool and is always on point.

Cozy, small bar off the river with 10 select beers on tap… Draws a slight hipsterish crowd and older clientale… Seem to be friendly to the ‘vapers”… No food is served here but they seem to be open to you bringing it… their beer selection is diverse but I’d like to see something more locally brewed… I can get a Sierra Nevada pale ale anywhere… overall. Low key an not bad…

If you don’t brew beer then your not a brewery! It took ten minutes to get a beer and the bartender didn’t even pour it right. I suggest going elsewhere.

This place has the greatest, most relaxed atmosphere of any bar in Columbus. In fact, I hesitate to write this review because I fear I’m letting the cat out of the bag. There is no where better in Columbus-Phenix City to go out and have a relaxing evening with friends. No loud music, no obnoxious clientele, and a true love for barcraft make this one of my favorite places. The staff(especially Tyson) are extremely courteous, helpful, and knowledgable. I never really considered myself a connoisseur(I just know what I like), but my beverage knowledge knowledge has increased tenfold; Tyson always has great suggestions for me and all my friends and that makes trying new things way more fun. I would highly recommend this place to Columbus natives and visitors alike.

I’m not a big fan of bars, but this place is amazing!!! Great local beers and low key, relaxed environment. Plus, Tyson and the good people here are very knowledgeable about everything beer related.

Great place to hang out. Fantastic beer selection. They rarely brew their own, but cycle microbrews from all over. Make sure you’re not easily offended if you show up on Tues or Wed night.

Great beers and passionate about them! The bartenders and owners have created a small town pub that is the king of the microbrews. The bartender is also the main attraction who leads trivia, conversations and raucous laughter. Only thing holding this place from 5 stars is a food menu to match the bar.

Not sure if you can call yourself a brewery if you have very few beers on tap that are brewed by you. Most of the beers are microbrews, which are nice. But not worth visiting if you’re looking for a good brewery. The staff also wasn’t helpful with much of anything. They couldn’t answer my questions about the beers, and they were very inattentive to us(though we were the only customers there).

Great beer, good service. If you like home craft brew, a good spot to checkout. Great after whitewater.

Love the beer and personal service here. They do brew some beer and do serve hand crafted beer too. The only thing that stops from 5 stars rating no food. However you can bring outside food to pair with their fine selection of beer. Keep up the great work!

I love this place! My wife and I were stationed at Ft. Benning and lived in Phenix City. As a loyal craft beer drinker it was annoying to go out in Columbus because there really weren’t many choices besides Terrapin or the crap at Cannon(it used to be better). Anyway, CBC is a small place but the beer is great and the people are excellent. Darrell(the owner) is passionate about beer and the CBC brewed beers are getting better and better. The real gem at CBC is Tyson. He makes every customer feel like they have been coming there for years. I’ve never lived in the same city for more than 2 years but after my wife and I went to the CBC3 times we were greeted with our names as we walked in the door and Tyson would always remember our favorite beer styles and tell us what was new that day. In fact, that is what makes the CBC so great, there is different beer there every day you go! We’ve recently moved away from Phenix City, but we will miss the CBC more than anything else about the area. I might even steal Darrell’s idea and open something similar in Minnesota in the future! They don’t serve food but they have snacks and you can bring your own food. Don’t miss Cards Against Humanity(Mon) or Trivia(Wed), they are hilarious but you better not get offended easily! Beers are cheap and ½ pints are between $ 2-$ 3. ½ Pints are the best because you can drink a couple different beers and still be good to drive home!

Wonderful little place to have a nice craft beer by the Chattahoochee River. Next to the whitewater course, so you’re always in on the action! Their drink selection is wonderful and constantly changing, so be sure to check back often to get the best they have to offer. The staff are all very kind and a pleasure to sit back and converse with over a few drinks. Wonderful atmosphere, and so close to downtown!

Greatest on draft beer selection in the Columbus/Phenix City Area with a regular rotation of fantastic craft beers, many from Alabama breweries as well as their own. Great, friendly staff. Free Wifi. No food yet, but snacks available and they allow take in food. They do ‘Cards against humanity’ on Mondays, music on Tuesdays, Trivia on Wednesdays. Close to river, so you can go down and see the rapids/rafting. A outdoor seating area as well for the nice weather.

No food yet, but good service and a good selection of draft beer for the area.
