This was the first triathlon I ever did and it was certainly an interesting experience as they didn’t yet have a staggered start for the swim in those days so I got kicked slapped and whacked more times than I though possible in that segment. Since then this race has evolved to be a really fantastic event and it is a challenging course with a lot of fun folks. This race is a ½ mile swim, 27.5 mile bike, and 7 mile run and there are lots of nice rolling hills to make the bike and run portions interesting. This race occurs in conjunction with the The Neshoba County Fair which is an extremely interesting event in its own right.
