Ok, so. I came in for a slice, but I got a lil something more. I was waiting in line like Oliver Twist when the guy behind me wouldn’t shut up, his loquacious obnoxious breath billowing into my delicate ears. I was really grateful that I had a gourmet piece of edible to shovel into my face instead of talking to this loser. Delcious, check. Distracting, check. Thank you for salvaging what could have been a Disaster.

So, 13th Street Pizza is fine at 230am and you want a slice of pizza quick after being at the bar. I figured it would be decent enough to order from. BFF and I got a Stromboli and an order of wings through grub hub. The wings tasted okay, but just looked bad… very wimpy wings. The Stromboli was just not okay… undercooked… and it is easy to see it is just cheap shredded mozzarella cheese, not even melted. We asked for pepperoni and got none(yet paid extra for it). Our order came to 35 bucks with tip. We are sorely regretting it. I will go here again if craving pizza at 3am and I am in the area. Pros– delivery was quick and delivery guy was very nice. They weren’t skimpy orhn the bros

Single worst pizza place I have ever been to in my entire life. Tried to order an antipasto and after a super long pause the girl realized they don’t have the ingredients for that so instead I got a chicken ceasar wrap and a medium plain pie. The wrap was a floppy tortilla with slices of chicken and lettuce inside, literally no sauce, this was a chicken and lettuce roll up if I had to attempt to name it. The pizza tasted like nothing whatsoever. Paper or cardboard would be more flavorful. How does sauce and cheese taste like nothing? Bizarre. Also they don’t have a sign and a bum had to lead us there to find it and we had to give him a cigarette for his troubles. This place blows lol. To be honest though, absolutely worth the laugh, I am crying reading these reviews right now hahaha considering going back for the straight comic value

Pizza is gross. It actually does look good. I’ve gone 5 times in the last 3 months, and it’s bad everytime. Stay away.

Not gourmet, please don’t be misled. I would avoid going here unless it was absolutely necessary. The pizza is always so dry, no flavor and almost cardboard-tasting. I get that it’s a late night place that you only go to at the end of a long night but its never worth the long line outside of it. Like ever.

I have mixed thoughts about this place, if you’re drunk and it’s 2am in the morning then this place rules. Other then that, there’s so many other better pizza options. My friends and I refer to this place as the«dry pizza spot», all of the pizza looks dehydrated and the plain slices look like someone grated their elbow skin onto it.

When your drunk at night unfortunately you make bad decisions. I made a terrible one last night, and I am still trying to forgive myself. No it’s not what you think, I didn’t stay up all night doing coke and messing with strippers. I paid 12 bucks for two pieces of pizza.

Rough place. Slices are truly awful. They say they deliver until 4:00 am but they clearly do not. Also, very unreliable with delivery, ice ordered here before and they often decide to just to not deliver your pizza and not tell you. I recommend avoiding it!

Pizza is not cooked! They just delivered us a raw un-cooked pizza. The only plus is they are opened until 330am for night shift workers. I wish I would have waited until breakfast. It’s just awful

Bummer! I ordered through grubhub… They called and told me they were out of wings… Do I thought I’d replace the wing order with a grilled chicken salad… Salad looked as if there were bottom of the barrel croûton crumbs poured onto it. The order of wings that did arrive seemed as if it had been sitting there for god knows how long. This was no Bueno

Well… they’re open late and that’s a good thing. When your a bit drunk and really craving some cheesey goodness, you should probably go somewhere else, but if you don’t feel like it, grab a slice from 13th Street. They do have a big selection, at least 15 or so choices. It’s hard to really see what they have because they get really packed at times, especially when all the bars close, and they’re very small inside. The last time I went I ordered 4 slices to split with me and a friend and I did a double take when she told me the cost, $ 24! Are you serious? Your pizza is not worth this much. This is Philadelphia and there are 20 other great pizza restaurants within 2 blocks.

This place has gone terribly downhill. A couple years ago, one could score a slice for a competitive price and the end result was as good as it could be for what it was. But now $ 4 a slice for something that has nary a topping and a fraction of what a slice here used to be. No, thank you. This place used to be a reward after a night out around these parts. Now, it’s totally a waste of time and calories. Go elsewhere.

Nothing like drunk zza on a Saturday night. There was a fairly long line out here on a brisk night, but it moved along quickly. I was anxious for some great pizza, but it only turned out to be OK. As I am wont to do, I had the plain ol pepperoni slice. It wasn’t worth the cost, but ya know, sometimes you just gotta eat.

In a city like Philadelphia, there are FAR better places to get a good slice. 13th street pizza is, as many of the late night patrons would agree, a convenience. The proximity to Center City and Sansom Street might be the only thing saving it from a 1-star review. Many of the standard topping slices are lackluster, and the attempts at creativity fall short. I like the idea of having unique toppings(ie. Mac and cheese, Hawaiian, Margherita), but their promise of self-proclaimed«Famous» pizza is left unfulfilled. The staff itself is hit or miss. Most of the servers behind the counter seemingly treat customers in a way that reflects their current mood. Some times, I’ve seen them be friendly with everyone. Other times, I’ve seen them literally screaming at some of the people in line. My late night advice: take the taxi ride to Lorenzo’s or text your roommate, who possibly stayed in, to preheat the oven for a pizza you picked up BEFORE you went out. My daytime advice: You’re in the 5th largest city in the US. Chances are you know someone who knows someone who knows where to get a good slice.

Best pizza iv had in philly :)) they made my veggie half very saucy the way I like it ! You could tell the veggies were really crisp and fresh ++ I got the second half buffalo chicken style bc iv never tried it I can say I’m good with my traditional marinara sauce ! The veggie is excellent here the buffalo style was boring to me I thought it would be much saucier and hotter but all I can say is MEH. They did however forget my extra ranch and marinara when the delivery man came to my door he said oh wow no one said anything about any extra sauce and when he gave me my receipt it clearly said extra ranch and marinara OH well it’s philly that’s all I can really say other than that great pizza I was happy :) will go back again but will not get the buffalo I’ll be sure to mention twice for the extra sauces

I placed an order yesterday by telephone and was told the delivery would be there in 1 hour because they were busy. 10 minutes after the promised time, I called back and was told they tried to call me to ask if I would accept thin rather than regular crust, however, I never received this call. I told them that would be fine and I was told my food would be there in 20 minutes. 40 minutes passed and I called again. I was told that they have no way to track a delivery, they don’t know if it has left or not because the drivers don’t take the slips. I was then told it would be another hour until my food was delivered. I asked the man to check this because it could not be accurate. When he got back on the phone he said the delivery was out and it would be there soon. I asked if the food would be discounted. I was told I may be able to get credit or a refund the next day. When I said I would pay cash he checked with his manager that informed me that I would not receive any discount but I was welcome to cancel. I cancelled. Food was delivered 10 minutes later.

Staff is rude and the pizza is terrible unless you are overly intoxicated. But it is open late and next to gay bars so they don’t care about service or quality because business will always be booming. Unless competition opens nearby, then they would be screwed. Again, awful pizza served by awful people.

Fallen from Grace. I travel most of the year for work and have always made it a point to come here for pizza any time I’ve been near Philadelphia the last 11 years. They use quality ingredients and are very creative while still offering classics. However the last three times I’ve gone the quality has gone down horribly. They still seem to be using quality ingredients, but have gotten rather sloppy and cheap in how they put pies together. The crusts are too thick on the edges and paper thin(even had two holes in one slice) in the center. What very little sauce they put on tastes great, but you just wish there was some in every bite. The toppings are scarce and they just don’t seem to care about their product any longer. I hate to give up on this once AMAZING place and will come again the next time I’m here in hopes that they’ve improved.

We ate here because they were still open at 2am, plus we’ve picked up from them before. ATMOSPHERE: It’s a simple takeout only shop. FOOD: Meat Lovers Pizza — Pepperoni, ham, bacon, and sausage with mozzarella & cheddar cheeses. Opted for no cheddar and added mushrooms. Flavor was okay, crust is a bit thick and chewy, and the mushrooms were canned & pickled which is odd. Not the greatest by any means but the pickings are slim at 2am. SERVICE: I guess if you deal with drunks nightly you’d be grouchy too, but we were coherent and polite but received the same unfriendly treatment. I’m easy an easy tipper and it requires just 3 simple things: A greeting, some politeness, and a thank you. I’m not looking for an ass kissing. Oh well, no tip then. OVERALL: Decent pizza for a good price. During the day, go elsewhere.

13th Street Gourmet Pizza AKA Gay Pizza is the best late night pizza you could possibly get in Center City. The options are endless and and so tasty. Mac n Cheese, buffalo chicken, bbq chicken, veggie, etc… All in the thin crust form with the exception of the sicillian options they have. The staff is always great in my experience and the pizza is to die for– drunk or sober. They are open 4 pm-4 am on the weekends I believe(if my drunk eyes served me correctly last weekend) The later you go, the longer you will most likely stand in line. All worth it though for a yummy slice to soak up a night of drinking. If you haven’t been, make a note. It’s phenoms.
