The quality and the quantity of the food is great. A platter gets you a main dish with two sides. I got the Greens and mac and cheese and they are great. The bbq sauce they have is a zesty and tangy flavor. Great place to call in, take out, pick up and eat at home with friends and family. Will definitely have you full. Soul Food prepared with a lotta love.

After checkin out the Laurel Hill cemetery we stopped by the 29^th St Grille for a bite, right around the block.
Super friendly staff and really tasty place. Got an epicly huge mac and cheese, better than Delilah’s in Reading Terminal. Crispy and tender cornmeal battered fried fish.
Next time i’ll try the meat and really get down to business… I didnt have any so I cant speak for it. But lots of sides. Huge sweet tea. Great stuff.

I can’t believe this place isn’t reviewed. I am proud to be the first.
This place is located on 29^th a few doors north of Ridge.
It’s a BBQ joint and a damn effin fine one.
I get ribs, pork ribs, chicken with collard greens, potato salad and/or yams.
It’s in a real sketchy area so be aware of your surroundings but no worries.
The platters range from $ 9 bucks to $ 14 — more for slabs.
I’ve been to a few rib joints around town but this one is my favorite. A real gem.
Get there and get your fix. Portions ain’t skimpy.
