It is common knowledge in the tri-​state area (PA, NJ, DE) that Acme’s prices on most items are higher than other supermarkets. This explains why on a Saturday at ~3pm the store was pretty much empty. On the other hand, go around the corner to ShopRite on the Blvd. and it is likely packed.

I shop here frequently and there are many items I buy here because they have better pricing or better quality than most other shopping centers.
Never disappointed with their meats, especially steaks, and I like their 90% lean hamburger. I think they actually employe real butchers there.
Their deli always has a good selection and I prefer their «shredded chicken» to lunch meat anytime.

The best beef of any market. They provide Lancaster beef which is tasty. The store is clean and organized. Say hi to the produce man, who has worked there 40 years. They have everything you are looking for and I applaud them for their teacher recognition program

Cleaner, easier to get around and a lot less hustle than shop rite over on route 1. Downside is the bakery is a lot smaller.
