I was looking for a nice brocade for a friend so I kindly asked who seemed like the owner if I could take a few pictures and he said«go ahead, we don’t charge for that». I was excited to find a few things that might work when suddenly the guy says loudly«are you done with the pictures? I know how this works, you will go online to buy them». I tried to explain but he wouldn’t let me. I own a local business too and that’s what I support. I’m afraid they’ve just lost a client. He was so wrong.

Clean and organized, Adler’s is a great go-to for upholstery fabrics, foam, batting and webbing. I was able to obtain the rubber webbing I needed and didn’t have to get from Amazon or another corporate behemoth. Big plus — staff is helpful and cheerful.

We needed foam and vinyl to lift the seat and recover a dining room chair for my ever shrinking 90-something year old grandma. Adler’s had a great selection and unlike some other stores on this street that are dingy, dirty, and scattered, Adler’s is and the clean, the selection is easy to view. Their staff have always been helpful when I have been in here. For really high end fabric, I go elsewhere, but for casual stuff, this is a great place.

We had new house built and I needed cushion for window seat. We visited few shops on 4th street. Gentleman in Adler we talk to was nice.(I believe he was owner). He took information for what I needed. I told him I needed two 54 inches cushion for my nine feet window seat. He quoted price and wrote it down on their business card and gave it to me so if I decide to get it done in their shop I can just call and order. After compairing price with other few shops on 4th street I decide to order at Adler ‘s. After that my son stopped their in few days because we got call from them. And there was different woman in shop and she was giving him different price like 70 $ to 80 $ more then original quote. So he decided we can figure it out when we can talk to gentleman who originally we dealt with. They took much longer then given time frame. When we went to pick it up, gentleman who we order to, was there. As soon as we started to talk to him, this woman came from back(I believe she was his wife). She would not let us talk to him, I showed her original quoted price, she said things changed since we order and by the time it was made. I try to reason with her. Explained to her, and again showed her original quote, the guy tried to talk to her. She would not let him speak. I even try to meet half way, to pay half of what she was overcharging us. She was not willing to listen. She was very difficult person. If I known I would be dealing with her, I would have never order my cushion there. She was horrible person. I will never order any thing from there. Beware of that woman… she’s a heartless bitch Cushion seemed well made. But I will post review after I get to use it.

If your store hours are until 5pm, being closed at 4:30pm is frustrating to those of us who make a special trip down there. Quite annoying. I am giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming there was a good reason, but I would call before going and double check that they will be open.

They have great upholstery and drapery fabric at low prices. They also have pillow forms, foam, and loose polyfil stuffing. Every staff member who I’ve met there, and I’ve been there at least 5 times in the last year, is friendly and not salesy or pushy. But they’re ready to help when you ask for a price or for a cut of fabric.

I’ve recently taken up sewing. Mainly because I still don’t have curtains on my living room windows(no one try to peek in), and I said, «self, you can make your own curtains.» Given the size of my windows, it would cost about the same as buying them, and if I bought them, I wouldn’t get what I truly wanted. Doing a bit of research, and given some advice, I was told of the little«secret» of fabric row. Which my BFF thought I was making up, along with my mystical land of sparkles and unicorns. But people, it actually EXISTS!(just like unicorns, and don’t try to tell me otherwise) And this place? Adler’s Fabrics? Is probably going to become my favorite place for all things home decorating project. The store is very clean, and easy to navigate. Everything is right within your vision, so there’s no digging through bins of fabric. On top of that, Jeanette is very helpful, nice and easy to work with. She helped me locate a fabric, which wasn’t my first choice, but was equally as nice, and perfect for my living room curtain project. While I’m sure she has some expensive fabrics, I found the price to be very reasonable. I’m so thrilled to have found this place, and fabric row. Living in the suburbs, I’m pretty much limited in where I can purchase fabric. This has opened up a whole new world(and ideas) for home projects. I don’t know what you’re waiting for. GO! You won’t be sorry.
