Here I go dropping a review on some friends again. But I only drop a review of people I know when they’re worth it, And Aegis is no exception. Since 2006 they’ve been trying to open up more Philly venues to short film through their films and others. And they’ve been doing a good job of it. Together with National Mechanics they have an awesome free short film fest every month called the Solstice Series(coming back in June.) It showcases short comedies and dramas from Philly and beyond. Aegis is also doing pretty hot with their own films. I have a soft spot for«Run Theft», a short film about a really long run. I don’t want to give too much away(it’s a little over ten minutes so I easily could) but I laugh every time I see Fergie make a cameo in his yellow jeep. They also did a special documentary about the anniversary of Sex Dwarf. They recently just finished wrapping up their latest film«10 Jakes» and it should be on hand when Solstice makes a comeback.
