All Around This World

I have known Jay Sand & his wife since High School and this is a truly wonderful program. He has always been a talented guy — and this proves it.
Kids just thrive here.

We took our son here for classes at the West Philly location & loved the atmosphere, music and teaching style! This is a great music class for the younger set. Participation is easy, and the kids really enjoy playing with the instruments and dancing around the room. The variety of global music is also a nice change of pace.
Added bonus of being located near Clark Park. We would hit up the farmer’s market after Sat classes.

so as an update,
It has been 3 years since my daughter has been to Jay’s music class and I’m happy to report that she still talks about the concepts learned in this class. when I mention a country, she will say «what kind of music do they listen to?» because she now understands that different regions of the world have different musical influences and tastes. Its also great that she still listens to the music she got at the classes. Thanks Jay.

We recently decided we needed to get our 2 year old daughter into some type of class. She is so social and loves playing with other babies. She’s not in nursery school and spends much of her day with our Au Pair. She has a couple of playdates scheduled every week, and our Au Pair works on getting her out as well. But with the cold weather and lack of indoor opportunities, we felt this was the time to do something different.
A lot of people recommend All Around This World. Jay who runs the class is super reasonable. He has a pay what you can policy for those who cannot afford the listed rates. With my wife in school and us having a lower income, we really did need to work something out, so it was great.
Jay is super nice. After 3 classes with our Au Pair, my wife and I finally got over to a class. Since the weather was poor, we skipped the normal class day and Jay was super cool about us coming to a Saturday class.
Although our daughter was initially shy, she really got into it after some time. Jay is very comforting. When he saw my daughter upset in the beginning, he offered her some balls to shake and make noise. I love that he chooses themes from all over the word. This time is focused on Africa, and each class focuses on a different region.
The class was loads of fun and our daughter, and other kids, were singing and dancing up a storm. My daughter was really upset when we had to leave. She wanted to stay and have more fun!
I really recommend this class for anyone with young kids. It’s lots of fun and Jay is great!

We’re starting our third year and we love it as much as the first time! My daughter absolutely loves Jay and his music. His energy is positively contagious.

My nearly 3 yo and nearly 1 yo both love Jay’s class (and cds, which I have heard no less than 200 times in the car, but hey it could be worse, right?) We’ve done music classes at different venues, but my daughters definitely prefer Jay and love going to music class every week! Instruments, dancing, music.

A Saturday tradition for our daughter. She wakes up singing Jay’s songs, and goes to sleep singing his songs. His music is infectious, and inroduces her to sounds and beats from all over the world. Worth every penny and more!
