South Philadelphia is fortunate to be to be home to a fine array of Italian bakeries. It is an established business tradition that partly makes it the unique neighborhood that it is. Amigo’s carries on that tradition finely. It produces Italian baked goods that are right up there with the old masters. The shop is about two blocks from my home. Since it’s opening, I’ve gotten cookies, cannoli and doughnuts. All of them were fabulous and priced extremely fair, well below my expectations. But, the ‘icing on the cake’(pardon the pun) was an Italian cream cake that we ordered for my father’s birthday. Just a fabulous product. Visit them, you will not be disappointed.

Me and my mom visited this bakery for the first time today. They had a great variety of baked goods and everything we got was delicious. The cupcakes were moist and the icing was perfect, not too sweet but just sweet enough. The biscotti were also very tasty. The man that helped us was very friendly and said he hoped we enjoy everything. I would definitely recommend this place! We will be going back for sure!

Amigo’s Bakery recently had their grand opening and they are off to a good start. They are replacing the old Criniti’s Bakery. It is wonderful to have the incredible bakery aromas back in the neighborhood! The rolls were absolutely amazing! The cakes also had 5 star rating. They are fresh, moist, and the icing is not too sweet. Very flavorful. They also are offering chocolate dipped strawberries and bananas which also were delicious. I’d like to see them expand a little into offering cannolis, eclairs, and a wider variety of cookies. What they are offering is very good and enjoyable and hopefully as business takes off they will expand the pastries and have more varieties available.
