After posting the review of my experience below, the owner of the store, Eric, messaged me directly. He was extremely apologetic and embarrassed by his employee’s behavior. After reading his message, I visited the store again with my husband. In person, Eric apologized AGAIN, and even gave me a gift bag of goodies (candies and stationery) to further show how much he appreciated me as a customer and how sorry he was for his employee’s behavior. I have attached a picture of the goodies I was given. I will probably visit the store again– they have this awesome hello kitty X tokidoki piece.
I used to love this store. From never seen before hello kitty and cinnamaroll washi tape to hard to find pocky flavors, this place was a haven for a Sanrio lover like myself. All of this changed when I was chased down in the street by one of the workers– and accused of stealing. I have bought so much stuff from this place that I walked in with an arm full of items I had already purchased from here– my keroppi clutch/​purse, my hello kitty phone case, and a little twin stars notebook that I have been using to practice my brush pen calligraphy. I purchased a new folder set and lemon flavored pocky, and proceeded to ogle a new little twin stars phone case. I went to my favorite candy store, and after leaving the candy store, two workers chased after me in the street, one of them grabbed my arm, and proceeded to accuse me of stealing my notebook. How stupid they felt when I opened the notebook and showed them my handwriting. Smh. It’s hard to process an experience like this– after all the money I have already spent there– I will never patronize this store again. And to add insult to injury, I had to demand an apology. Buyers be ware!

A step into this store will surely make you smile and laugh. Might I say, a truly unique place to look around and procure random Asian widgets and gifts for your friends or significant other. If you’re ever in Chinatown, this place is a must to explore and experience!

Pretty expensive but worker is very friendly and they have varieties of items from china, Korea and Japan!

Ummm… i wish I was one of those super crafty people who could make all kinds of cute things…
As for an asain craft store this place is pretty big… has TONS of Kids stuff… Some of it is toys… bedding/​kids bedding… If you are looking for a giant stuffed animal type Hello Kitty toy… this is the right place to be… look near the back… many options to choose from… The prices are pretty outrages… you can find a pillow pal type Hello Kitty toy that I think is pretty useless… Saw a box of strawberry pockey that cost five bucks for just one pack… that a sign that I had to get of there…

This is our second time visiting the «Hello Kitty store». We stopped here because our kids love Hello Kitty, Sanrio, and Animé items. As a parent, it’s pricey and if our purchase is less than $ 20, they only accept cash. You do not have the option to pay with debit or your credit credit, unless the amount is more than $ 20. The staff is very friendly here.

Asia Crafts sells just about everything Sanrio, including my beloved Hello Kitty. The prices are pretty decent and I ended up leaving the store with a few items.
Service is okay (not the greatest), but I definitely like the variety in merchandise available here.

Fun, special place with rare items, at least hard to find anywhere else. They had a hello kitty shaped like a taco or a burger.

I really like the store but it’s soo much money but I still like it the back pack is awesome

i’m the auntie who gives the best gifts, thanks to my office’s proximity to this place. this is perfect one-​stop holiday/​birthday shopping for my three nieces under age 10.
the guy who’s usually working the register (not sure if he is the owner) is so incredibly nice. i recently bought several things for the aforementioned nieces and he threw in a bunch of extra freebies — gift bags, balloons, miniature coloring books. really sweet and helpful salesperson.
pro tip: for $ 1 apiece, you can get hello kitty-​ear party hats that make for great kids’ party photo opps.
one star off only because of occasional sticker shock. some of the products are reasonably priced, but others border on outrageous. you can definitely find stuff that’s in your budget here, though.

The coolest place since Kiddie Land in Tokyo! Bought GIANT Domo for Fiancé’s birthday! Boy did I score some brownie points with that one! Thanks!

Came here drawn to Hello Kitty of course!!! Lots of adorable things for kids and adults. I has to stop myself from buying more HK merch! I was visiting from out of state and their employee Eric was super helpful! He helped me find great local places to eat!

so yeah I went back to Asia crafts with some out of town guests and it’s even better than I remember. the sales guy (owner?) was really really nice. He offered to change the radio station for me. There was a new flavor of Pocky (mint) and he opened it up and let us try it all. I bought a stuffed Totoro for my niece and she loves it. Tons of collectible and fun things to buy.

It might be small but it is a great. Store I alwayz atop by when I’m downtown especially during school time so much that the lady knows me n knows Wat I like I always gett binders or paper o. r notebooks or pens. Or a bag one time. I luv it there I was just there the other day n got two binders n two pens. 5 thumbs up for the best hello kitty store in Chinatown all those other ones r impostor.

This is your one stop shop for anything Hello Kitty (and her Sanrio friends)! The shop carries everything from clothing to accessories to plush toys, even water bottles and lunch boxes! Not only that, even though my friend and I were on a mission for props for a play that we did not end up finding here, the salesgirl was very friendly and engaged in conversation with us. They also accept Lokalty!

I stopped by here for the first time a couple of days ago. Being an avid fan of Sanrio and Japan in general, I’m not exaggerating when I say this was like a little slice of heaven on Earth to me. The store is very neat and clean inside, well lit, and the staff is very friendly and pleasant. As can be expected when purchasing Sanrio merchandise, the items can get a little pricy but I spotted a few things on sale (snacks and candy, in particular).
They have a solid selection of items, including popular out-​of-​stock stuff that can no longer be found on
. Customers can even fill out a request form with any items they were unable to find in the store and a staff member will contact you if they happen to get the item in stock.
All in all, I was very happy with my visit here and will definitely be coming back again soon.

My little one has nicknamed Asia Crafts the «Hello Kitty» store. They specialize in Sanrio, gifts & stationery. There is a wide array of Hello Kitty items including rare and hard to find Sanrio collections. Prices run a bit high — but many items are on sale.
