I wonder how is their payroll. I loved the food but never had a customer service .I am a soup lover and I try to go any soup place, at least once in a week and would love to go there every week but I cant. Soup tests good but none of the employees seems to have a care for customers. Management, please just dont be busy with revenue, take a look at your store as well.

Considering I’m now the duchess of ABP, I guess I should write a review! I come here soooooo often for breakfast as I pass through the mall on my way to work. ABP breakfast is great because: 1. Salmon lox bagel with cream cheese only $ 4.49 2. Large coffee only $ 0.99 with breakfast sandwich 3. Egg white and avocado on a bagel or croissant only $ 4.79 4. Fast, very friendly service 5. Fresh do-it-yourself coffee Basically I’m always here because there’s no where else you can get a salmon lox bagel with a coffee for less than $ 6! Thanks ABP!(No comment on lunch, Ive never had it here). Also I like the touch screen in-restaurant that shows you the nutrition facts. Helpful!

First of all you have to go into this place fully understanding that the people who work here are miserable. Don’t expect any warm or fuzzy feelings! However, for a «fast food» type of place its perfect. They have some good breakfast sandwiches and some really good soups. They try to give some healthy options which is nice. It’s also always fast. I can imagine this would be the perfect spot for a lunch break. I’ve returned here several times and each time the food is consistent, and there’s never any hold up. I’ll continue to pop in and out of this place whenever hunger strikes.

Great place for a quick in and out. Salads are fresh, the sandwiches are unique. If you are really really short on time — just grab a sandwich on the go. The staff is super fast and 3 cash registers located strategically throughout the store. And how can I miss — the Soups are to die for. Unique hot and fresh soups that are always simmering. Thanks to Au Bön Pain I have found a newfound love for just having soup and a piece of bread for lunch.

ABP may be a chain but they bake their bread in house and the ingredients are fresh! I had the chicken bacon avocado sandwich here and the baguette was crusty, the avocado was creamy, the chicken moist, and the bacon crispy. Really — what more can you ask for? Oh yea — sign up for the E-club and you’ll get a free sandwich on your birthday — outright!

I love the variety of soups they have on a daily basis and they have good bagels, and grilled cheese sandwiches. This location is always busy since it is housed in One Liberty Place. My fave soups are the Vegan: Tuscan Bean, Red Lentil Curry with Rice. Also, the Macaroni and Cheese is so delightful. Employees are nice too.

«Hey, I’ve got a problem. I burned this pot of Morning Blend.» «Just label it ‘French Roast.’» «Oh, ok.»

It probably seems dumb to review this chain since there all over the place but I actually REALLY like Au Bön Pain. Except all I ever get here is their soup, and on the rare occasion, a half-price pastry after 5pm. The soups make for an inexpensive lunch, coming in at like $ 4 and some change and there’s a big variety. They usually put out at least one vegan, low-fat soup, which is always my choice. Today, Tuscan White Bean, on Friday, vegan chili, some days, vegan lentil. The soup is hearty and enjoyable and my broke bitch go-to lunch. And for that, I award ABP four stars.

I typically respect the ABP as a reliably good chain place with fairly fresh food, good coffee, fresh OJ, and an excellent cranberry walnut muffin. This particular location(inside the mall at Libery Place) however suffers from the worst ABP service I have ever experienced, and I have been to many many many ABPs. The employees don’t seem to understand that if I am not wearing an ABP uniform, I am a CUSTOMER. Plus, they are always out of the muffins I like. Boo

Between a few of Cosi’s salads and ABP’s soups, I know that I can keep it light at lunch time when I forget to bring my own. The one is usually pretty busy and generally clean and well stocked. The scenario I particularly like is seeing the owner run around like crazy working harder than the rest of the staff combined. Good times.

Yes, it’s a chain, but with fewer than 5 locations in the area, we’ll still give it a review. French Roast coffee is truly exceptional — strong, flavorful, but so smooth no sugar is required. A recent addition — the oatmeal and toppings bar(available breakfast only) is outstanding + reasonably priced. Hard to beat for a healthy, warm way to start the day. Can’t speak to their espresso drinks, but the machines are full-auto, so if you’re looking for something with a little more personal barista finesse, you’re going to have to search elsewhere.

My ABP location is in Commerce Square. It’s convenient, since it is just across the courtyard from work. Today was cold, rainy & miserable, the perfect day for some soup. They usually have 8 – 10 varieties on any given day, so there is always something to satisfy my soup craving. In addition to the standards, they almost always have a vegertarian option and a low fat and/or low sodium soup. They have also expanded their offerings to include soups such as Thai Curry and Southwestern Tortilla. One of my faves is the seasonal Harvest Squash! Even with this great selection, I’ve been known to mix varieties to create my own unique concoction. Wild Mushroom with Tomato Bisque anyone? As for the sandwiches and other made-to-orer items, I’m not fond of the«fill out your order on a piece of paper» thing, especially because there can be a long wait, and the crowd control is not very good. It seems to take a long time to have your order filled, and there really isn’t a good place to stand & stay out of the way of other customers. For breakfast, their oatmeal is an excellent choice in the colder months. It’s served up in one of the same«help yourself» pots as the soup, with lots of add-ins available — dried cranberries, sliced almonds, raisins, brown sugar, to name a few. Other than the oatmeal, I prefer Bruegger’s over Au Bön Pain in the morning because the service is faster, and it just seems so much more organized
