Wow… maybe they are having an off day. The Manager here needs to be retrained. She was more concerned with negotiating with her employees about when to take a break. The only other thing she was interested in was cashing people our.

I have been sitting here for about 45 minutes.
No drink cups have been put out for drinks.
3 out of 5 coffees are out. Bread and soup bins remain low or empty.
Tables not cleaned.
Display case essentially bare.
Worst one I have been to in any airport and I have been in too many to count.

Best option for decent healthy food at the Philly airport. I ordered the Harvest Turkey salad and it was delicious. Service is slow, and employees seemed put out to have to be working during the busy dinner hours. Gal at the checkout was very friendly. Nice quiet dining area to eat and relax before my flight.

Good spot, considering that it’s airport food. Four stars because they have comparatively good prices, fresh fruit, about six different soups, as well as made-​to-​order sandwiches. Just what I’m looking for when I’m traveling!

Ok for the airport I guess. Clean. You feel rushed on the line. Cashiers often cleaning and stocking and not at register. Good good as expected

Au Bön Pain is French for ‘this is not what I ordered’. This particular location is staffed and managed by people who could care less about customer service. Whatever is wrong, it’s your problem not theirs. Go somewhere else.

I fell in love with the Salmon Wasabi bagel. I almost dreamed about having it before my flight returning home. I also highly recommend the black bean burger!

Hmmm. Not sure what to make of this place. It’s airport food, and as someone mentioned, it’s probably one of the best options amongst a sea of mediocrity at PHL. I thought I’d be healthy pre-​flight and ordered the vegan avocado and vegetable wrap. Note that the word «avocado» is called out prominently in the name of the wrap, but I challenge you to find more than a tiny sliver of avocado in the actual wrap itself. When pointing this out to the manager on duty, she took my wrap back and gave me more, but even then it felt like a bait and switch. If the word avocado is in the name of the wrap, give me more than a microscopic piece of avocado!

This is probably the healthiest fare at Philadelphia airport, although the environment is a touch dated and very casual. Service is hit and miss; some will serve you with a smile and aplomb, others will not make eye contact and smash down your avocado into your salad. It makes for an interesting inspection.
I usually go with a create your own salad, as you can eyeball what ingredients look freshest. Some of the greens are fresh and in general this is a step up from the lowly, frozen, slow salad works in terminal A.
The breads and pastries are very good at au Bön pain although I usually go with the multigrain baguette to avoid a gigantic stomach.
Coffee is fresh, there are items to go, and they’ve recently revamped their salad and wrap offerings such that the packaging is more aesthetically pleasing and they offer occasional seasonal items such as strawberries and kale.

This is a pretty safe bet for «healthy» airport food. I stopped in for lunch before a flight and it wasn’t too crowdt, which was nice.
I opted for a specialty salad. I don’t remember the name, but it had a delicious maple walnut vinaigrette! The salad wasn’t very large, but the perfect size for a pre-​flight lunch. Plus it came with a breadstick or roll. I went with an everything breadstick and it was ok (nothing bad, just ok).
It’s communal seating with all the other restaurants. But because you walk into this location to order, you can’t sit at a table to wait for your name to be called — you wouldn’t hear it.
Minus 1 star for the first employee I saw behind the counter blatantly ignoring me. But the person who did help and the cashier were both lovely.
I’d stop back on a future trip.

Wow.
I don’t expect much from chain food service, but at the very least I do expect to be treated with same respect and politeness I convey and exude. I know the food will be a crap shoot. No surprise it was tasteless, it served its purpose: substance.
This rating is for the Rude staff and subpar cleanliness.
The corporate executives need to read the reviews given to the various locations; then they could monitor and correct those that do not represent the original mission statement and standards that lead to their success.

Unfortunately folks this is the only 24 HR place open at the Philly International Airport. I am currently stranded here right now. I just saw how unprofessional and incompetent the workers in this establishment are and there was no management around to even keep them in line or correct them. 10 people and growing were told that we were going to be waiting 20 or more minutes for food service (giving an order), then when a lady (Brittany) decided to take the orders she was barking at the customers. She actually insulted an Indian gentleman about the pronunciation of his name, btw I heard it quite clear from the customer end. She was just nasty and had no time. After taking 8 orders she got on cash register. I already had things to purchase from bakery ready to go to eat. I had to get enough food for the long 8 – 9 hrs I was going to be in airport because of my airlines screw up and the incompetent worker bee Brittany opens her pie hole suddenly and says off the cuff «oh oh you can’t sleep here you know that?»
After all of the wait and crass treatment from an airline being re-​routed on a totally different flight 24 hrs ahead from where I am suppose to be and and I am hearing from s pee-​on in a bakery w/​crappy cheap gang member tattoos? Are you kidding me?
I said «Uh no hon I will be sleeping in my terminal but thanks for asking!!!»
Good was pretty good, workers were from a poor house or prison situation w/​no manners and had there conversations obviously out loud at inappropriate volumes. Hire people with class, then teach them again what exspected of them cus it just makes this place look like ass clown paradise.

This restaurant café is quite inviting. Vivid colors and soft music makes your time spent here enjoyable.
It spans left to right with many items to choose from.
From the right you have check out counters, refrigerated section with drinks and chilled items. In the middle, an island with coffees. Towards the right, you have a pastry/​treat cabinet that makes the mouth water. It’s quite hard to make the best decision since everything looks so good! Moving on, you have a «subway» replica of a sandwich and salad making area. You use the posted menu to decide what sandwich/​salad to purchase and wait your turn to submit your order.
The first grunt I have about this establishment is that today seemed awfully busy. There seemed not to be enough staff members to handle the major influx of customers. Maybe it was the morning rush on this specific day.
The second grunt is the disarray of customers clustered in one area. The line for ordering your sandwich/​salad was being over taken by the check out line. No one really knew who was it in what line! Maybe some organization when it comes to a busy day.

In Terminal F, you’ll find healthy breakfast options at Au Bön Pain. They have a few egg white breakfast sandwiches on a low (er) calorie bagel. Don’t go into it expecting a fresh cooked egg and you won’t be disappointed. Their oatmeal is also quite good. It appears to be steel cut oats but their website states otherwise. Regardless, the apple cinnamon oatmeal was warm and filling. the apples were fresh chopped apples not the dried apple chips you usually find in oatmeal. They also have oatmeal toppings you can go crazy with if you don’t mind the calorie count driving up significantly. Their French roast coffee is always good, but how can you screw up coffee besides letting it get old? The customer service is typical of Philly which is brusque at best.

I had a bad day on a late sunday night. Some of the people in this place passed on some racist remarks that I cannot understand english. You lazy workers remember I am better educated in english than you are.
I respect black people a lot but not the ones that are in this restaurant. It is as though they throw free food. WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Worst egg sandwich I have ever seen! There egg looks like a scientist created it in a bathroom somewhere. Unnatural, flavorless, and just gross! I’ll stick to the sandwiches and salads from here on out

During a recent layover in Terminal C at Philadelphia’s airport, I considered my lunch options and Au Bön Pain was the winner. I was deciding between Chipotle (usually my first choice, but I’d had it so many times recently) and a cheesesteak place. Au Bön Pain won out, though, since I estimated that that would be the food that would be least likely to give me food poisoning before my flight. I ordered a chicken caesar salad and it came with the amazing Asiago breadstick that I love so much. For about $ 7, the very filling salad and equally filling breadstick were truly worth it. The ingredients were fresh and the meal was overall satisfying. Another great thing is the food court located right outside this restaurant. I’d definitely visit again during a future layover in Philadelphia.

If this is for the C terminal location, I find they are consistently pretty good, especially considering some of your other options. You can eat something «safe» (no one wants an upset belly on a 3 hour flight) and healthy to boot.
If you want a basic salad/​sandwich and some sides (drink, snack, etc.), hard to beat. People are pretty friendly and patient for some people waiting for them to make up their mind on what they are ordering, etc.
Nice that there is a large glass window, so if you’re meeting someone or even just people watching, you can look out.

I have been in this Au Bön Pain about safe to say 15 times or more over the years now. I guess it is safe to say, I really like it.
Right now The Airport is under renovations with the food shops.
So this place is still going strong. They always have fresh food. Because they do a tremendous business. Nothing has time to get old.
They make some truly great soups. Also the salads are quite good. I always forget to grab a salad dressing. The nice man at the register reminded me and asked me if a wanted bread as well. I passed on the bread,(I do not need the calories).
But, I would of forgotten the dressing had he of not said.
The pastries are divine and the coffee is a winner.
Lots of people in there all the time, and it can get hard to maneuver your way through.
But, it is good and a decent price. remember Philly airport is street prices.

Fast, efficient, and my Asiago bagel egg bacon and cheese sandwich was yummy. I like getting to order your food first and then moving on to the cash register; you get to check your order before you pay for it, awesome idea… Dunkin Donuts needs to learn a lesson!

I’ve been to this ABP quite a few times, when I’m running from one terminal to the next at PHL International.
I do like ABP for their variety, and «healthy-​feeling» foods. You can get soup, salads, wraps, coffee, etc. Everything’s pretty appetizing, fresh, and yummy.
My problems here have been: The prices, and the customer service. Neither of which are outstanding.
Don’t you worry though, PHL ABP, I will return… and I will walk away with my delicious salad — grumbling, but happy.
