Baker the Sign Man

I’ve worked with them for about six years now, and the projects they do are absolutely amazing. I have yet to be disappointed. Considering custom lettering and signage is a lost trade, it’s great to see Philadelphia has this company still around. They are highly recommended and very fun to work with as well. I value Nacine’s opinion a lot, as she has found better, and often, more economical ways to finish the job. We live in a time where most businesses look to maximize profits. This is not the case with Baker. It seems they do it for the love of the art.

Came to them for gold transom numbers, and found out that was cost prohibitive. They suggested vinyl, which ended up looking nice, and being 10x less in cost. Project was ready fast, and with good communication from them.

Very disappointed. I had successfully used them years ago but this time around it was horrible. I reached out to them with a design for a corporate conference room and reception area and asked for input, estimate and timing. I told them it was asap because our client wanted it by a launch date. They kept giving me excuses and not getting me anything and after waiting 2 weeks, they declined the project because they were too busy on other larger projects. So I lost 2 weeks. Very embarrassing and poor business practice. If they had reviewed up front and declined, I would be disappointed but appreciate the honesty and respect. It was unprofessional and a poor communication. I am quoting with Color Reflections now and a few others. I will let you know who I go with and how it works out.
