Beer Love

Haven’t had the free time to sit at the bar with the super knowledgeable bartender but luckily BEER LOVE has take out! She stocks your faves and rarities to experiment with. A tasting sampler 6 pack of smoke beers recently rocked my (beer) world.

Finally got a chance to check out this new bottle shop in Queen Village, and I dig it. I walked in and was greeted by one of the folks who work there. He was also nice enough to give info, and opinions on beers. It is always nice to be able to ask question in case you want clarification. The beer selection is a bit small than most bottle shops, but they have some good ones. The price is what you would usually spend at most bottle shops around South Philly, so nothing too crazy.
Still, this is a really cool place to drop in to grab some sixers and some snacks for your evening. I would also hope to have an evening where I can sit at the bar to enjoy some of their drafts. This was a much needed addition to the changing area of Queen Village.

A small beer store with stellar selection, friendly staff and even beers on tap. A bit pricey though.

I’ve been eyeing up Beer Love since they opened and I finally stopped in last Sunday afternoon and it was DEAD. There were a few people at the bar but they left shortly after we arrived so I took that opportunity to chat with the bartender. He told me that Sunday afternoons are typically quiet but they get pretty crowded on other nights of the week.
Beer Love is strictly beer, no food. They had about 10 craft beers on draft and a huge wall of refrigerators filled with a great selection of bottles/​6-​packs. Beer Love is a great addition to Queen Village and especially 4^th Street; a 6-​pack shop has been needed in QV for a long time, and Beer Love has definitely filled that void!

Not a wide selection but great picks all around for what they do have. The prices for to-​go beer though are through the roof.

Nice selection of craft beers, with an especially interesting array of canned beer. Please light the coolers better!, it’s difficult to see what you’ve got.

Excellent new beer place! They have quite the selection of beers from nearly everywhere and the staff is friendly and enthusiastic (read: beer nerds) about their beers without being snotty.
Definitely worth walking into if you are into beer and even if you aren’t, you’ll enjoy the attention to detail.

An awesome beer place is always a welcome addition to the neighborhood in my opinion. Beer Love is great in that it offers a casual drinking atmosphere and it feels more like a hangout place than a bar. Want to bring takeout in with you, no problem. Want to buy beer to take home — sure. My fiancée and I work a few blocks away and this place will definitely be one of our regular happy hour spots.

What a great shop for the location. If South Street is a little too much for you, this laid back beer emporium should be all you need for a relaxed evening. The owners and staff are super friendly and will help you find whatever beer you’re looking for. While they do not have food to offer, I’ve seen plenty of people bring in a slice or two of pizza and have been offered a plate by the owner himself to enjoy my own food. What’s great about this shop is you are free to either come in and buy a bottle (or six!) to take home or hang around to enjoy them. It seems substantially cheaper than just going to a bar and the beer selection is impressive. Great prices, great beers, great people and great location — definitely a new neighborhood favorite.

Nice addition to the neighborhood. Good selection of take out beer and ciders. Spotty service at the bar. Hopefully they will continue to improve and become a star in the neighborhood

It’s nice to have a bottle shop locally in Queen Village now. They have only been open a few weeks but I have been back here three times already. The staff is super nice and willing to help you if you have questions, prices are fair, and the beer selection is great for what the fridges can display. Are there other bottle shops in a 10-​minute walk that offer more selection? Yes, but so far I have been able to find something new to try each time I visit Beer Love. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Housed in a former Fabric Row fabric shop sits Beer Love, a fun, simple bottle shop that lets Queen Villagers finally walk somewhere for their six packs. I got to visit on opening day and I will be returning quite frequently.
The wall beer fridge holds bottles organized by style. At the time of writing the fridge organization was something like summer ales, saisons, ipas, stouts, oddballs and formed six packs. They also have 8 or so taps which showed a nice PA representation. The owners couldn’t have been nicer and guided me through their selection as well as told me about their renovations.
The bar area can seat about 10 and I noticed four four-​tops and two two-​top tables for those who want to hang out and imbibe. I’ve heard they are cool with people bringing in outside food and they also sell some pre-​packaged nuts and chips if you’re just looking for something salty.
The prices seem reasonable for the area and it seems like they are going to keep their selection rotating as the seasons change.
