Campus Copy Center

Came here to get passport photos — BANG — was in and out within 15 minutes. No frills place that also isn’t trying to gouge and rip people off. They even ran a couple xeroxes I needed for free.
I’m usually not into the «small business» myth and prefer big chains because they can offer employees benefits and consolidation produces certain efficiencies stemming from economies of scale, but I’ll make an exception for the copy industry. Ever been to a FedEx Kinko’s or UPS store. Yeah, you know what I’m talking about. Blech!

I needed USB printing resizing and laminating services. My first stop was Staples on 15^th St. and Chestnut. The copy center at Staples had about four people behind the counter all of them were sitting around looking for something to do apparently. When I told him what I needed done they said they can print but that day cannot resize. Let me just add that they were very friendly and telling me what they wouldn’t do for me. They stuck to their title of copy center which to them meant they would already copy something that you had ready to copy and not something that needed a bit of resizing. What I needed was an identification resized to fit my ID holder. After being told that they could not do it I just paid for the ID holder and left. I then rode my bicycle to 39^th St. and Walnut to the campus copy center. As I was tying my bike outside of the establishment and turning around to face an SUV with a belligerent woman on this rainy day have been parked outside the Campus Copy Center waiting for someone inside of the center she opened her window and asked me did you scratch my car she repeated this twice. I could not believe what she was asking me but her not knowing that I have known how to measure space and scratches ever since I was three years old, I was certain that I did not scratch her SUV. I took the time to explain that to her I even went to the back and check her monster truck and saw that of her collection of scratches that were back there I could not tell which one would have been mine. After this she seemed to have given up her case but I still went inside keeping an eye on my bike from the interior window just in case she recited to retaliate and scratch my bike or puncture my tires. To make a long story longer while I was at the Campus Copy Center I was given a computer immediately. I proceeded to insert my cruiser drive into the front facing USB which was not working and since it did not register I decided to let the attended help me and he used the rear facing USB drive. Feeling a little on help from Staples earlier and checking every minute through the window to see if my bike was still safe I was almost expecting the attendant that help me to be well unhelpful. This was not the case he was very helpful knowledgeable he explained to me the services that I needed as well as the prices that I would expect he even log me off of the computer that I was working on so I would not incur any additional charges as soon as we were finished setting up my project. He was amazing he looked as if he was the owner of the store. He acted as if he was in charge, and should be running the store full time. He was the kind of person that you wish would run every establishment that you decided to patron. He was professional, and ready to take on whatever was being asked of him. I felt I wasted my time having gone to Staples, but then again if I did not go to Staples I would have never been able to appreciate the service I received from Anthony at the Campus Copy Center. I know his name because I had to ask him his name after he finished helping me and I told him that I would give him a good review online because good service is something that will only continue only if the people that have been helped from good service speak about the people like Anthony who do more than the job is required or expected of him. When I left I saw that my bike was still there unharmed and the woman that had been impolite with me I’ve gotten out of her car and went to the burger place next to the Campus Copy Center. I figured she was hungry and tired of waiting for her friend who was taking forever inside apparently filling out an application for unemployment. I hope things get better for those women.
The service from Anthony was so great that I decided to go in the next day to have business cards printed. I was not fortunate I received service from someone who could best be described as unprofessional. He seemed to be bothered by having to do his job and even more bothered to have to answer questions. This is a pet peeve of mine when I go to an establishment and the people who are working there seem to be troubled by your presence. Unlike Anthony, this short young man was explaining everything to me retroactively and then trying to put a price on what he failed to explain earlier. I asked him about a program I had used on the terminal I used yesterday and he simply answered «we don’t have that program» and did not even try to find it when I told him that I use the program in that same terminal yesterday he answered by saying I don’t know used it and walked away. After having my business cards printed he offered some advice for the next time that I print and when I asked him if this was something that I can do he simply said «yes but you have to know what you doing» which I thought was a little presumptuous and it was a way for him to say «well I probably should’ve helped you but since I was more busy looking at the clock… nah.

I work with a company and we have a lot of printing orders. We used to work with Fed Ex, but recently found out that CCC has such better prices and the customer service is amazing.
Everyone that works there is incredibly sweet and helpful. They know me by name and are always willing to help with anything I need done.
They do printing, copies, passport photos, shipping, and have computers to rent for the Internet. I’m sure they do more but this is just what you see when you walk in.
They are prompt with emails and phone calls as well! They will deliver if you are local in University City.
It is a great feeling to use a small, family owned business instead of Fed Ex

Been coming here for years. No matter what I need to do the staff is very willing and able to accommodate me. I was surprised they were open this Sunday as I needed to scan and email some notes to my employer. It’s a little expensive, but it’s cheaper than buying a personal scanner that I would use every so often.

Ron and everyone at Campus Copy is so easy to work with! Not only were they able to complete our promotional material in record timing (in just a few hours!), the posters and small fliers could not be more perfect!
Ron even helped me to select a better, lighter, and cheaper (!) paper choice for our large posters! I really could not recommend Campus Copy enough!!!

How has it taken me this long to utilize Campus Copy Center? I’ve been living within walking distance since 2008 and just used them for a quick print of a poster I needed.
They turned around the poster within about 4 hours, and when I went to pick it up, the quality was great. The staff was friendly and helpful.
It was an extra bonus that I could then ship right there! USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

This is two part review of the services. On 9÷5÷2013 I needed to use a printer and computer because mine was not working. The guys behind the desk always professional and give me the help when I need it. My complaint is with the owner. This particular day it was warm outside as well as inside this store. I asked the staff when the air was that going to be fixed. They had idea because their boss did not advised them .No fan was made available I made a call to the owner and was told he was looking for his tech. I asked him if he could not find that tech could he get another? What I was told if I could not stay at that location to walk down to the other store on 36^th street. After I advised this person I was handicapped he got quiet. I advised him until the air was fixed I nor any of my associates or clients would be using his services. He failed in customer service contact skills. I will resume my business in that store during the winter and use the library instead if I need a printer and computer

I’ve used Campus Copy for both my company’s products (business cards, etc) as well as mailing items for my personal use. As others have said, the service here is really embarrassingly bad. Additionally, the USPS shipping costs are marked up in the range of an additional 25%-33% what the Post Office charges, which is fairly exorbitant. Employees are unhelpful in every sense.

Staff were very helpful with the print job that I needed done. They offered to cut my prints for me as I needed them cut into quarters and boxed them for me! It’s never too crowded when I go and whatever I need has been available. The prices are great and small business friendly unlike other big printing companies.

As a Penn student who often prints out posters /​flyers for various clubs, Campus Copy Center is an inevitable staple in my life.
It’s pretty unfortunate, but extremely convenient, especially because they’re open late on weekdays.
The pricing isn’t awful, and the facility itself is spacious and well-​organized. However, the service I’ve had to deal with at Campus Copy has been consistently awful. Even if one other person is in the store with me, and there are five people working, it will still somehow take an hour for me to get whatever I need printed, because the employees don’t want to help for some reason? Legitimately, printing out, say, 100 flyers should realistically take 20 minutes MAX, not 1.5 hours!
I just always dread coming here, because, though the services are thorough and good-​quality, it just takes an enormous amount of time that I don’t have.

I love these people.
I was running late and desperately had to ship out a package so I ran as fast as I could to this store and arrived at 4:01pm on a Saturday, 1 minute after they close. The doors were already locked but a kind gentleman let me in anyway. The shipping for my package was prepaid but I still had to tape up the box (it was quite heavy and had fragile items in it) and as with most post offices/​shipping centers, I expected to pay for a roll of tape and do it myself. The kind gentleman got out shipping tape and took care of the entire package for me.
Five stars for excellent service. I am so thankful for the kind staff here!

I’ve gone to campus copy for years. I usually go in with large enterprise orders and receive decent customer service (probably because of the large orders). I went in to print and mail a small personal order recently. I was not informed of what I was being charged for. When I questioned the receipt (which was not itemized) and asked for a breakdown of my charges, the employee became frustrated and angered. I asked why the employee was frustrated with me and received a number of different responses. In the end I was overcharged for the service (by about 10 dollars). After I paid, the employee apologized for inconveniencing me. It didn’t make a difference as my card had already been charged. The other Campus Copy has much kinder and customer-​centric service. I’m taking my enterprise printing to a different center and definitely won’t be returning for personal printing.

Had a great experience printing bridal shower invites. It is a place that does not look fancy when you walk in. But great staff. Nice paper and envelope selection. Fast, looked great and good price.

These guys are the best… printing has never been faster and shipping is a breeze. Quality is always as promised and if not, they are more than happy to work it out. John and the guys are fast, reliable and friendly. I would travel from Center City to avoid the wait or run-​around of other print shops.

This location is terrible. Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced on each and every time I go. Better off going to the other office down the street.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The service here is absolutely terrible. Unfortunately, it is often the only place nearby that I can mail a package, so I don’t have a choice. If you go here be prepared to wait in line for at least twenty minutes. When you finally DO get your turn, don’t be alarmed by the miserable employees who mumble and have no trouble showing how much they do not like their jobs. I went there today to mail a package and apparently missed the pickup by one hour. The man behind the counter was completely unsympathetic and told me I «should have woken up earlier.» I won’t be going back here. No one deserves such rude treatment.

I have mixed feelings about this Campus Copy Center.
Positives: It’s open pretty often, even on weekends, which makes it great for when you need some documents printed last-​minute in time for Monday. Prices are average for a print shop. Obviously, higher bulk means cheaper costs, so it’s best for when you have a lot to print. You can also set up accounts or just decide to pay each time, so it’s pretty convenient if you have multiple groups to make prints for. Prints do come out pretty nice, too.
Negatives: The service is so-​so. People there know what they are doing, but they usually take their time when working on your documents. I always think it’ll take at max 30 minutes to get something done, since it’s not many copies, but it takes at least 45 minutes to an hour each time. Also, I’m pretty sure they didn’t print enough last time I went — I asked for 100 copies and I only see 80. They charged me for 100 copies, too… Also, if you want recycled paper, they don’t have that — I wasn’t looking for it, but another customer was asking and they have 100% cotton paper but not paper from recycled materials.

Went here to get something printed for work after I called around for a few quotes. They seemed to be the cheapest around, even though I had to rent a Philly car share to get there. It was extremely disorganized. You have to load your document and send it to a printer yourself on one of their two computers, one which was being occupied by someone’s backpack. I wasn’t sure exactly what to do so I almost sent 100 copies to the printer instead of the 1 I was supposed to. The guy who was helping me also gave me attitude. I understand that because you have green hair you are obligated to be all emo and angst-​y, but keep that outside of work.
It was cheap, but I don’t think i’ll be back.

By the Kinkos next to here, they have coursepacks here from the professors (Wharton excluded as they have Repographics), and they can copy various things for you (or you can copy them yourself). You can also get copies for school groups, etc., here.

Campus Copy, a place to buy ridiculously overpriced bulk-​packs for your college classes. Where else would I pay $ 40 for a stack of about 100 pages of articles? Don’t they know that college kids are broke? Campus Copy also ships UPS and lets you copy, scan and print. If you can do it yourself, I’d recommend it because the prices are pretty high.
