Worst experience of our life!

KEY THINGS TO KNOW:
*Despite paying for for 24hr service (8 – 8), our aid left early at 5:45 am. *Aid told us she was at BARNES AND NOBLES reading, when she’s supposed to be in the room next to us on call.*For 24 hr care, Jessica came n checked on us only 3 times.& only b/​c we called. *She lied about how much i owed her and didn’t give me all but one reciept.*Owner Beverly started off very pleasant but the moment i needed clarification on unknown charges, she damn near cursed me out and would not let me say a word& insisted that she wouldn’t argue with me (though she was the only one screaming and being very unprofessional).*What professional company uses a rental car for their business? this company quoted my mother and i a fee that was ridiculous. When we declined the service, then that’s when the owner Beverly gave my mother a normal rate. We hired them. Beverly was very nice and gave us her personal number «if we needed anything».
Jess. was supposed to pick us up from the hotel room & drop us off at our destination for the surgeries. B/​c the aid Jessica (Beverly’s daughter) was late we had to meet her at the drs office & she drove my car back to the hotel. No problem, we all run late at times. Before surgery, i asked jessica if she can check on us often (required from my dr 24hr) because i wanted her to make sure my mom was feeling ok. She said «oh yea, I’ll check-​in on you guys EVERY HOUR». After our surgery, she took us back to the hotel room& accommodated us. A couple hrs later, my mother and i woke up with excruciating pain, we couldn’t move… and we were in despite need of our pain meds. Jessica was supposed to be staying in the room next to us, but when i called to ask her if can she bring our meds to us, SHE TOLD US SHE WAS AT «BARNES AND NOBLES READING». I asked her how long it would take for her to get to us and she stated «ITS RUSH HOUR AND IM HERE WAITING FOR THE RENTAL CAR».That made no sense to us at all. We waited 45mins for her and i ended up administering my meds to my mom and i. she comes back to the room and i politely asked her if she could «stay close» for the rest of the day. she wrote down #‘s i can reach her at. needed Jessica’s help. I call 6 times and no one answered. Called the second number and finally she answered. She got to the room &looked totally distraught. She told me she was going to run to rite aid n get more bandages; she used my mother’s visa. when i got settled in bed, she hands me her phone for me to sign, in order for me to pay her back the cost of supplies. I asked her how much i owed her she said $ 30. I asked her if that was the exact price three times &Three times she said «yes, $ 30 even». I signed but still insisted on seeing the receipt. Finally, she have me the receipt & The total came to $ 27 and change! ALL MONETARY TRUST WAS GONE! I didn’t made a big deal out of it, i just considered that part of her tip. i requested next time she charges my mothers card, gives the receipt to me– which a professional business does. 5:35 am my mother woke up draining, and we called her. She came in… Put THE BANDAGES & PADS ON BACKWARDS and left with my mom with wounds uncovered! WHY? she told us she had to leave early at by 6 am because she’s getting a ride to dc.
She left at 5:45, &we still tipped her. Later that day, I’m checking our bank account n i see the company charged us an extra $ 43 and 1 other unfamiliar charge. Now be mindful, if Jessica would have left receipts as requested many times i would not have these questions unanswered. Called Jessica, both # were OUT OF SERVICE! As a consumer, of course I’m nervous now. I called her mother, the owner, and i politely asked her 3 legitimate questions. I told her i did not want to bother her, but Jessica’s numbers are out of service. Why was i charged $ 43 extra? Can you ask Jessica where the receipts are for the other purchases? Since she left early, can we get reimbursed for 2 hrs? mother was also next to me while on the phone and told Beverly that the hotel’s front desk told us that Jessica didn’t check out a 6am, but that she checked out at 10 am! Mom and i explained it was okay we just wanted our questions clarified. Beverly was very UPSET& COMBATIVE ! She said i was «very nasty and young and disrespectful& that i «insulted her and her daughter» and that they «went out their way to accommodate us» and that she’s not going to be bothered with this n She wanted to speak to my mother etc. ! Being a law student at Harvard, i know how to be diplomatic and remain calm, so i did.
Beverly stated she’s been in the care business for over 30yrs. So my question is, if your working with sick, elderly, and clients with mental illnesses (such as dementi, alzheimer’s), in order to avoid a problem, why not provide receipts? Horrible company, you will feel worse after dealing with this incompetent company.
